I love this video for 3 reasons. 1.) It's sung by Maureen McGovern who I have personally met on several occassions and her voice will always be the only voice I want to hear sing this song. 2.) The editing of the boat capsizing to "The Morning After" on this video is to me superior to any other "Morning After" video showing scenes from the movie (the ORIGINAL.) 3.) The movie "Beyond The Poseidon Adventure" and the awful re-make from a few years back sucked in every way! There's no comparison.

I just saw her performed in Rochester, NY, a few days ago, and boy, can she belt it out! She is a superb vocalist. The enunciation and expression in her singing is a joy to hear! She looks great at the age of 62 and I personally think she looks better today than she did when she was younger. Her voice is perfect for dramatic songs like this. Her powerful voice gives hope with a tinge of the foreboding tragedies in the movies' plots. I am still moved by her singing 35 years later!
