i just got one myself for about 800 with the 4.9 inline 6, great motor, had 1 leak at the oil plug because the last guy over torqued it. mileage does suck but still a great solid ride.

I have a '90 F-150 XLT Lariat just like that one, 6 cyl. The only difference is mine is a 5 speed manual tranny. I almost traded it in on the cash for clunkers but I changed my mind. Other than some minor rust spots above the rear wheel wells, it is in pretty good shape, inside and out, and everything still works. Cruise still works, the stock AM/FM cassette, and a very ice cold A/C that will run you out even when it's 100° plus outside.

i cant really say but like my discription on my truck mines got a 4.9 300 straight 6 but the i6 is most common in this truck that year. ur just goin to have to try to open the hood and look

Its probably a V8 5L 302, thats what i got and that is 88% of all of that year and model.

@2066241 try and crawl under your truck, look for the headers.. if theres two banks of 4, then its a v8.

nice truck, those 300's go forever, we ran one up to 400,000 miles in the farm truck before i rebuilt it and now its got another 50,000 on the rebuild with no sign of slowin down.
