Hi, I am a complete novice when it comes to massage. The only massage I ever had was during some physical theory sessions for a herniated disc in my low back. So this 50 minute massage video....what type of massage is it....Swedish, deep tissue ?....etc. Also, I was thinking of going for a massage like this..... but would only be interested in remaining on my stomach....is that a normal/acceptable request to a masseuse ?

@stretch45g This is a demonstration of swedish relaxation massage and is guide the client (you) so if you want to remain on your stomach for 50 minutes that is entirely your decision and your therapist will definitely work with you on that. Something to be aware of is that often times people become congested while in a prone position. Just something to be aware of. Enjoy!

pushing the shoulders away from the head releases a ton of tension (try bunching your shoulders up to touch your ears then release them, you'll see what I mean - the masseuse is pushing them further to relax him beyond his base state). and twisting the arm back loosens the pectoral muscles and rib cage as well as all the shoulder joints.
