Hopefully these women got masectomies. I feel most Canadian women who can't afford the best are directed toward lumpectomies (which I would never recommend because of chance of recurrence. Too much pain is involved with these (3 horrible procedures even before the operation) & by then you've lost 10 years of life. Now that it's over no one will touch my breasts again. I won't accept radiation, chemo, or even another mammogram for the rest of my life. Dying from cancer can't that bad.
