Title "Defiliermarsch der Reichswehr in Breslau" is completely made up, please change it, or at least write a note that it's incorrect. It's simply someone's lie. March is called "Groß-Deutschland". It was composed by Paul Luckert and recorded on Dec. 12th 1940 for Telefunken company by band of the Berlin Guard Battalion (Infantry Regiment "Großdeutschland") under Guido Grosch.
@IustitiaPax U destroyed Breslau u fucking subhuman germans.Breslau doesn't exist.This is Wrocław in that place now. 90% of what u can see today in Wrocław is built by Poles ore rebuilt from the ground,anew.Learn u animal.
the former german land will be filled with germans in the future,and former polish land will be filled with polish in the future,too.the pre-1936 border should be a way to eliminate the poverty in europe which may cause fascism...
@kekedog You know what God hath determined and announced by his prophets unto the German people, one of the great peoples of Christendom and Europe. Stolen goods will not flourish indeed. And He shall restore what the godless took.
@kekedog Lwów will be hard to do so, as Lwów had 57 % Poles in 1910 (Breslau 100 % Germans in 1890, 1900 etc. etc., except for some foreign students). Lwów is in eastern Galicia, in mostly 70 % to 100 % ethnic Ukrainian western border lands. Wilno/Vilnius only has 17 % Poles today, but the countryside indeed around it is mostly Polish (Polonized Lithuanians, Lithuanized and Russified Poles 1945-1990).
@IustitiaPax and eastern part of ukraine and byelorussia will be annexed by russia,and konigsberg back to german hands again...and lithuania should be annexed by poland...
@kekedog No, eastern Ukraine (Kievan Rus'), White Rus' or Ruthenia etc. have their own character, and Lithuania can only be united peacefully under one monarch. Lithuania is not the same as Poland is, at all. Lithuanians are an East Baltic people of more ancient origin than the Poles.
Beautiful Polish cities. Great. I'm happy that we have Wrocław, Szczecin, Gdańsk and many more. It was great history for us :) greetings for all good people in Germany. :) and please dont forget one thing.. before war we have more km2 of teritory than today, we lost more and they give us a German teritory. But today we can do nothing and you also. and why situation today is like that? BECAUSE Germans want to make Warschau a german city..
@przemalo das sind keene polnischen Städte sondern preussische! schlesisch Breslau, Stettin pommern und Danzig westpreussen! Preussen besetzt von Polen,Litauern,Russen,Deutschen,Dänen und Belgiern
@breizhcatalonia1993 if you dont belive me look in real history. they want to make a Warschau - stadt with 150 000 citizens, but they have a litle problem because Warshaw have 1,5 milion. you can love anybody. its your business.
@breizhcatalonia1993 Im real serious. Today we have a german land, but in day when they give us a breslau, stettin, elbing, they (zsrr, england, usa) stole us our land! Before the war, which began germany, my country have more land then today, if you are intrested, please look on the old map of Poland in 1938.
@przemalo i know, you mean so that when the war finished borders will had to be conserved like in 1937 and not stole territories to germany and poland? I have looked.
@breizhcatalonia1993 I think so, but today its impossible, half of ukraine and belarus is our land... they give us old german cities but in ruin(destroyed by allies and ussr) , and stole beautiful Lvov, Wilno and many many more. greetings for You from Poland :) Spain is beutiful country and we like Spanish people :)
@IustitiaPax No.Thery are Polish cities.After war they were destroyed to the ground!!! Nothing left.All u see today is built by Poles.Poland!!! There'e nothing german in those cities today,nothing!!!
@MrThorn88 Every stone in Breslau speaks German. And this well sensed by all Poles who are critical and educated. Of course chauvinists who think Berlin is Polish and 'Dredzno jest polski und slowianski miasto' cannot understand.
@IustitiaPax Hahahah every stone speaks german hahah. You failed at poetry u subhuman germ. Taking ur logic almost all bricks and buildings speak Polish 'cause 90% of all buildings there are built by Poles and Polish state!!! Berlin and Drezno are not Polish and will never be.We have no rights to this cities.Wrocław is Polish.It was builded in style influenced by germanic style to respect history but was rebuilt from zero by Poles,Polish money and Polish effort.U r subhuman shit.Dirty bitch.
The name of the march was at the Tomahawk Films CD "Die Musikkorps der Wachbataillonen-Berlin". Yes, indeed, it is performed by Musikkorps des Wachbataillons Berlin under conduction of Guido Grosch.
@Auceps00 Could you tell me where did you find such an information? I searched quite a lot in the Internet but couldn't figure its real name... Maybe it was only performed by the band of the "Gross-Deutschland" division? I'll be grateful for any useful stuff ; )
@unserlandst1993 Retreat from Soviet advance into the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (still under Nazi German control militarily). Protectorate indeed.
Everyone in Poland who feels yearning for Polish Lwów, Wilno or Grodno, should undestand Germans feeling the same fo Wrocław, it's not a question of politics. Offcourse feel no understanding for revisionism; Wrocław will stay polish, the decission about territory transfer was taken by soviet, U.S. and G.B. leaders, including the decission about polish east territories.
a question , polish was speaked in Breslau when it was still german? , or only was speaked after the objective of supressing all german in the city by the polish government?
The Polish language was never spoken in Breslau before May 1945.
Before 1150 AD, the surroundings of Breslau had a Slavic-speaking small population. Royal Polish villages were founded, but not Polish-speaking.
About 600 Polish-speaking students lived in Breslau in 1918. From Upper Silesia and Posen.
Polish was imposed in 1945. All German citizens killed or deported in cattle trains to the West. Or transported to Siberia for forced labour by Stalinists.
@IustitiaPax thank you for the answer, what was that slavic-speaking language? lower sorbian? polabian?, a question , how treated poland the second german empire when annexed their part from 1795-1918.
This is a lie. Nobody ever spoke modern Polish in the city of Breslau.
In the 17th century no civilian of Breslau spoke the Polish language. Only some immigrant students. Polish Lutheran immigrants from Zaolzie (Cieszyn). No one else.
Breslau (Wratislavia) was founded by the Duke of Poland in a Silesian duchy of the Piasts, and named after the King of Poland. The Duke of Poland at that time, was supported by the Holy Roman German emperor more or less. Breslau was always bound for Germany.
There are indications that Wroclaw was founded by Czechs. The Czech name is almost identical to Vratislaus I, Duke of Bohemia. Where did the name 'Breslau'? Does not resemble the original.
I like the Polish people for their piety, but I do not like extremist Polish nationalism and Polish falsification of historical facts.
But Poland as a Kingdom etc. was a great country. Poles have allowed themselves to be puppets of Napoleon (1798-1815), Britain (1918-1939), Soviet Union (-1991), USA (1995 - today), combined with excessive anti-German, anti-Russian, anti-Slovak, anti-Ukrainian nationalism.
But Poland is a great nation of Europe. I love Jan III Sobieski.
@IustitiaPax i know , thats because i think that poland and germany had to recuperate the two their old territories, and plus , the two nations had to recuperate her honour , distroyed by soviet union
I thought was talking about the present? You didnt notice how strong resistance of ordinary people against anti-missile? Much stronger than against the judgments of Polish courts in Masuria. "Action Vistula" eliminated the threat of Ukrainian Insurgent Army. A very dangerous organization that had killed many. Also other Ukrainians. You dont like LPR? Only party that promotes tradition. PiS is contemporary Petain. Liberal Party has microscopic support. I dont even know their views.
1. You still justify the expulsion and killing of ethnic Ukrainians as "anti-UPA action" by Armia Ludowa in 1947 in Akcja Wisla. A crime you defend!
2. Prussia took Silesia after Austrian Empire ceded it. After the Silesian Wars, but were European wars. Yes, Austria always recognized Prussian Silesia. But German Empire after 1945 never formally ceded Silesia etc. to "Republic of Poland" or LPR. It remains Germany, and it remains Breslau. Just not DDR or BRD.
Accuses me of rotter. But you always defend the Prussians. If no Action Vistula, Poland would lose also the Lublin and Rzeszow. Expulsions divided two categories: fair and unfair. Expulsions of innocent are hideous. But victims of Action Vistula had committed a large crimes: Passivity and disloyalty. Man is a herd creature.
Akcja Wisla was against ethnic Ukrainians. Expulsion, deportation, forced migration to Ukrainian SSR or to East Prussia (occupied) or Pomerania or County of Glatz ("Klodzko"), then forced assimilation-Polonization by Polish (nationalist) Communists of Gomulka. UPA members were men. Ukrainian women and children. Lemko grandmothers are not UPA members! You defend Armia Ludowa and PRL?
PiS is contemporary Marshall Philippe Pétain? Yes maybe. In that they ally with USA and NATO against Russian Federation? Pétain never provoked war, never stationed missiles against Russian Army. I am not pro-Russian. I am just an analyst. I know that 2010 Katyn-Smolensk crash was probably an FSB (or joint CIA-FSB) action against Polish anti-globalist right-wing PiS politicians and army.
Nice that you feel for the victims in the Smolensk crash. But remember. Three fourths of these victims were politicians. Collaborators. Generals and admirals were not intelligent enough to not fly a one plane. You must feel to Putin! His face said: "Again, everyone will blame me." You easy to believe in conspiracy theories.
I do not hate modern Poland, but I hate anti-Germanism, anti-Russianism, anti-Ukrainianism of Polish nationalists. Polish nationalists from 1919-2010 are puppets of Entente Anglo-Saxon powers in provocation. And Poles think they will help their Polish Motherland. But instead, they are instruments of England, USA, France. In WW2 Rydz-Smigly could have been Mannerheim (Finland), but he became a looser in 1939.
UPA was anti-Communist, anti-Soviet, anti-Polish, anti-AK, pro-nationalist and (1939-42, 1945) anti-Nazi. It is more complex. But you are a conservative Armia Krajowa, Narodowe Siły Zbrojne, Endecja (Dmowski) nationalist sympathizer yourself. You simplify things. I am from the Netherlands. I know all aspects. I know former collaborators, and former Resistance men (90 yrs old), communists and Christian-Democrats.
My Catholic grandfather hid all war to escape working for "the German enemy". My Communist grandfather worked in an arms factory in Holland, but sabotages, illegally hid American pilots. He never hated the German people itself though. After the war, he and my grandmother loved to visit West Germany and loved German folk music. Like many Kashubians and Silesians did in secret.
Your ancestors had no reason to feel no sympathy for the Reich. Everyday life in Holland during the occupation was not different than everyday life like before the war. Meanwhile, in the General Government, people felt pain or fear of terrible pain.
In General Government, over 350,000 persons were in Armia Krajowa, killing German soldiers during expeditions, and attacking German military infrastructure. Blame the Polish govt. in exile. They created a "state of war" in Generalgouvernement für die besetzten polnischen Gebiete (GG for Occupied Polish territories). Most Poles in Wartheland had no churches. In Danzig-West Prussia, all Kashubians and Poles had churches (Latin, but only German confession), and all worked for Germany.
@AZsaturn Many Poles suffered. But German people are not responsible for 1943-45 Ukrainian-Polish ethnic conflicts in Volhynia and eastern Galicia (UPA, Armia Krajowa) or for Armia Krajowa vs. Soviet partisans conflicts, or NKVD operations in eastern Polish Kresy. Warsaw in 1944 was harsh, but military operation. Poles in Löbau (Lubawa) and Rahmel (Rumia, Kashubians mostly) suffered almost nothing.
All men from the Netherlands were consigned to Forced Labour in Germany. Like most Polish men. In 1944-45, about 7,000 persons died, because of Dutch railway strike and Nazi refusal to use German war infrastructure for food. Allies did not launch food either until April 1945. About 7,000 Dutch elderly and children died from starvation in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht etc. etc.
@AZsaturn You should stop defending Communist Polish crimes. It proves, that Polish nationalists still identify with many "nationalist-Communist" Gomulka policies of the Polska Rzeczpospolita Ludowa (PRL). LPR party is Catholic, but too anti-German. It is patriotic, but too anti-German, anti-Lithuanian. Polish republican nationalism is not a Catholic ideal for me. It is a 19th century extreme relict of Polish defence during Kulturkampf.
Expulsion of terrorists is a crime? Are you sure that you know everything about the UPA? UPA killed even the Ukrainians. Diplomatically, I did not say anything about Volhynia. Removal of the UPA is the only good thing that caused the PZPR. Do not judge LPR by using idealism. LPR ratio for Germany is the lack of fawning. For you, even subtle criticism of Germany is a crime. Get over it. No fawning.
UPA was anti-Nazi, anti-Soviet, anti-Endecja, anti-Pilsudski, pro-Ukrainian, pro-nationalist, pro-authoritarian. It is a complex aspect. You believe only Polish myths about UPA "terrorists". They were freedom fighters caught between 4 enemies: AK, AL, Soviet partisans/NKVD stay behind, Slovaks, German Nazis. LPR is too anti-German. Germanophobia. Meanwhile Ks. Tadeusz Rydzyk is in German-built Speicher in city of Thorn.
I like Polish monarchists and Polish-Lithuanian iniatives. I do not hate Polish culture or Polish people. Not at all. I hate Nazi exclusivism too. I know that Nazi authorities destroyed Our Lady chapels in Poland, and were anti-Catholic (ex-Freemason Arthur Greiser in Warthegau!). But in Glatz (Klodzko), German monks were killed by Polish Communist and Polish nationalist colonists, even Polish extremist national priests.
I hate clerical Polish extremist nationalism of LPR. Monarchism is Catholic. Extreme nationalism is a secular ideology of 19th century! Not Catholic. Why should Poles kill Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Landkreis Lwów/Lemberg? Why could Polish settlers murder German Catholic babies in Glatz/Klodzko or Patschkau/Paczków or Breslau? Why? I condemn all crimes, not only "Fascist" crimes.
@AZsaturn I apologize. I like LPR politicians mostly. I like prof. dr. Maciej Giertych. But they, like you and other Polish nationalists, deny all evil crimes in Polish recent history. They blame only Germans and Soviets. But that is too simplistic. National Communism of Wladyslaw Gomulka was Stalin-approved version of Roman Dmowski and Endecja goals of "one nation in Poland". Ethnic cleansing is never good. I like LPR due to their stance on abortion and euthanasia. They are Catholics at least.
I know LPR does not want to do terrible things. I also know many LPR politicians are secretly not anti-German at all.
It is the irony, that anti-Communist Poles were persecuted by anti-Communist Nazis. By October 1944, Nazis came to see this, and allowed Endecja Armia Krajowa units into Protectorate. Nazi leadership came to regret the fate of Warsaw Uprising fighters and civilians, betrayed by England and Stalin.
Please remember, that today in Holland, we commemorate also the Liberators of the Netherlands, the Polish Forces of the West. We like the Poles. I like the Poles who liberated our towns like Breda from the Nazi occupation. The Germans were occupiers of the neutral Netherlands in 1940 of course. We had our Bakker Schut Plan, but it was rejected. Instead, Polish people were abused and betrayed again by Entente and Anglo-Americans in 1944-49.
@AZsaturn But I also know German soldiers. I know a man from Patschkau (Paczków) near Neisse (Nysa), then in Lower Silesia, who said that Polish soldiers were killing German SS officers, but were nice to him (Wehrmacht, 17 yr old). Meanwhile, the Benes-radicalized Czechs in Prague and Nachód were raping and killing German babies in front of his eyes. May 1945.
Who is criminal, who is saint? None, but the German soldiers were more honourable mostly compared to Czech extremism (Czechs suffered nothing), Soviet mass raping, and Polish expulsion and murder of ethnic Germans 1939 and 1945-49. I do not say it was only Poles. It was also pro-Soviet collaborators like Salomon Morel, who is KZ Zgoda murdered German children cruelly. But Polish colonists until 2010 justify these crimes and genocide of 3 million. Ethnic cleansing.
Go to Amsterdam's Government to claim all of the monument, which you so sympathize. But please do not force me to grieve the loss of their executioners. Otherwise, you said if the UPA was in the Netherlands. Life in the General Government was terrible. In the Netherlands, no.
In the Generalgouvernement für die besetzten polnischen Gebiete life was at times horrible in regions. Polish victimization and PL victim statistics were largely falsified. Of course, with Armia Krajowa of 350,000 active underground soldiers, and one million Poles in Resistance and sabotage, you will get much repression. There was little repression in Ukrainian villages in Galicia, nor in Lithuanian villages. Nor in Belgium and France. Many collaborators. In Poland only Goralenvolk.
Even I believe that the statistics of Jewish and Polish victims need not be 100% correct. But Hans Frank predicted the death penalty and collective responsibility for many cases. For hiding a one Jew, all the residents of the building met with God. What an irony: Hans Frank had the same surname as Anne Frank.
Dr. Hans Frank told many nutty things. In the end, his crazy wife behaved as "queen of Poland". He converted to Catholicism in 1946 in Nuremberg. The same crazy Nazi man who had condemned Polish Catholic bishops as hostages of Nazi occupational regime. Believe me, the statistics of victims of WW2 are mostly propaganda, falsified, exaggerated, lies. German victims are higher than official statistics, and Polish numbers lower.
You need to add "Dr" when talking about Hans Frank? Esteem to such rotter is a faux pas. Even if the true statistics are much smaller, is sufficient for me. I'll be careful with the belief of new sensations. You glorification Reich for operations for which Poland slander. For the same operations.
I hate the Nazi dictatorship. But I also hate the propaganda and falsification of history by new dicatorships, be they Allied Control Council or Soviet Union or Communist Poland or Wladyslaw Gomulka. My grandfather had friends who died in concentration camp Amersfoort in Holland. I have nothing to defend. But I like historical truth. I believe in Our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the King of truth. The King of the Holy Roman Empire in social reign, and also King of Poland.
It is not enough. An honest man hates the Kingdom of Prussia. Brigands. An honest man does not give any rights of Prussia to their booty. An honest man gives the right for victims of Kingdom of Prussia to recover. Meanwhile, for you, the real Poland would borders of Congress Poland. Very strange that only now you mention the tragic death of their ancestors.
Dr. Hans Frank imposed the death penalty, because of Armia Krajowa and other Polish anti-German underground activities. And remember Jewish Bund activists, and still in April 1943, Jewish Ghetto Uprising in Warsaw. Most Soviet partisans in Kresy wschodnie and Lublin district were Jewish. The Nazi paranoia towards hiding Jews could be understood. Of course I condemn the excessive Nazi reprisals.
Some Poles were nicer to German victims in 1946 of course. Some became friends. Like Polish workers and German colonist girls in Ciechanów 1942-44 Germanic settlement programme. We are all humans. But historical truth is historical truth. This means, that Polish people must recognize German cultural and state history of Silesia. The very name "Lubusz Voivodeship" is offending; Poland wants to annex Lebus (city) too?
The Land Lebus was under German diocese of Lebus, but under Polish royal protection. Inhabitants were West-Slavic tribes like Obodrites. Not Poles. Polish duke Boleslaw Chobry had little influence, from 991 (Otto III, HRR, assigment to Poland) until 1121. Then it became Brandenburg fief. This Polish name sadly indicates a territorial claim on the town of Lebus in Brandenburg/Germany in 2010.
You can not exist without slander? You nicely asked for clarification of etymology Lubusz Voivodeship. Nobody had a different idea. This is the name during the Middleages. And nothing. In 1998, planned twelve Voivodeship. The territory of present Lubusz Voivodeshipe were to be parts of three neighboring Voivodeship.
Lebus (city) is a small town in Germany. With German inhabitants. Once, in 1050 AD, a royal Polish fortification. Poland had fortifications in Kiev and even Minsk in 17th century. Does that mean, that Belarussians and Ukrainians have no right to that city?
Lubusz Voivodeship earlier no planned to exist. Territory of this Voivodeship was to be a part of three neighbord Voivodeships. But the people were dawdlers. Poland has no territorial claims. Poland is satisfied with its borders. There is no revisionist organization in Poland. Location of city Lebus no one interferes.
It is a sign of Polish westwar imperialism of the Instytut Zachodni. Instytut Zachodni Propaganda and Lies! Inst. Zach. is an example of westward Imperialism and annexation plans of Poland. From 1919 until 2010. Especially 1945-50 even non-communist Polish nationalists collaborated with Polish Communist regime in ethnic cleansing of historical Eastern Germany (Silesia). polska mysl zachodnia, "Polnische Westforschung". "Scientific" Lies to kill German Pomeranians.
Citizens of Gorzow and Zielona Gora protested, so they got their Voivodeship. It has not been named or Gorzów Voivodeship or Zielona Góra Voivodeship, because both cities have the same meaning in the region. Used only common name during the Middleages. And nothing.
"Gorzów Wielkopolski" (Landsberg an der Warthe) was never part of the Land of Lebus in medieval times. And Grünberg in Silesia (Zielona Góra) was never in it either. It was always part of Askanian margraves or of Lower Silesian duchies. The historical notion of Poles is based entirely upon 1919-1945 or 19th century Pan-Slavic propaganda of Polish nationalists.
In your country you can names of the provinces as you want. Even the "Avalon". Not my business. No voivodeships 100% compatible with the borders of their medieval counterparts. Compliance is roughly. A fine-tuned details of the borders will of the inhabitants.
Silesians are not Poles, Pomeranian Slavs were never Polish, and (Lutheran) Masurians spoke archaic Polish, but voted for NSDAP more than 75 % in 1931. Obodrites, Lusatians (Sorben), Wendland Polabian Slavs were never "Polish". Also, Warsaw and Kraków are not German, just because from 200 BC until 650 AD Germanic tribes of Goths, Vandals and Franks lived there! Nor is Warsaw French!
The ethnogenesis of the West Slavic tribes is very complex. Most West Slavs had a Germanic substrate (very clear in Kashubians and Lusatians), and in 990 AD, the Slavicization of the Germanic Silingii remnant settlements in Nimptsch (Niemcza), Silesia, near the Zobten ("Slezka") had been completed. This was an organic process. Like Polonization of Józef Beck ancestors in early 19th century Congress Poland!
Silesians, Pomeranian Slavs, Masurians ... No nation is so beloved for the Poles as the Kashubians. Kashubian was Joseph Wybicki. Kashubian was Antoni Abraham. Kashubians are the oldest people in Pomerania. A thousand years in our kingdom. Silesians? They do not feel anything to Austria. No loyalty. But they love brigands (Prussia). Masurians? Have a comment you need?
Günther Grass is a Kashubian. Most Kashubians now live in Germany after 1945-46. Of course Kashubians are related to the Polish people and Slavs. But do not forget, that Pomerania (duchies of Stettin, Kolberg, Cammin, Demmin, Wolgast) was never ethnic Polish in 1100 AD. They were a separate people like Czechs or Obodrites. Masurians were archaic Polish-speaking Lutheran conservative farmers and fishermen. Voted for NSDAP 76 % (Lyck, Elk).
Whenever Günther Grass goes to Gdansk, the authorities literally worship him like for Jesus. Literally. Many celebrations. The sites from which it is bound, are commemorated by plaques. I guess in Germany is much less revered.
Günther Grass lost credibility, because he is a left-wing liberal SPD writer, who always attacked CDU men for their Waffen-SS or Wehrmacht history. And he himself was in the Waffen-SS as a VOLUNTEER in 1944. (Frundsberg Div.) He was born in Danzig-Langfuhr.
In Masuria, NSDAP held Polish-language party meetings for Masurian adherents. Masurian Lutheran culture is very diverse and exotic, with Catholic remnants. Only the Warmia/Ermland Polish immigrant minority from 1700-1939 showed Polish nationalist signs. Ks. Walenty Barczewski from Braunswalde. Dietrichswalde Marian shrine. Catholic Poles were national-aware. Lutheran Masurians were more German than Westphalians and Hamburg citizens!
Dura veritas, sed veritas. It is true. Masurians considered their archaic Polish dialect as a dialect, but considered themselves Germans. In rural districts, they voted up to 79 % for NSDAP in 1932. Long before takeover of Adolf Schicklgruber. History is very complex.... Margrabowo became Treuburg (Olecko). Catholic Warmian Polish immigrants of 18th century in Dietrichswalde and Braunswalde were pro-Polish. 7 % in Warmia voted for Poland. 0.2 % in Masuria.
I admit that I had had a guilty conscience because Mazurians. But now sure I was wrong. What is complex? Masuria was part of Royal Prussia. But the whole area of East Prussia was our Achilles heel. From the Middle Ages. Shame for the Polish, not tackled to this earlier.
@AZsaturn Well, the Masurians were Protestant and convinced Prussians. I've just uploaded a lecture on the 1920 plebiscite in Ermland (Warmia), Masuria and the Marienwerder district.
@OstpreussenTV A majority of Catholic Slavic population of Upper Silesia voted for Germany too! Please continue to educate Polish ignorant victims of Communist and Chauvinist Bierut-esque re-education.
@MrThorn88 Universität Breslau and Leopoldina are closed by the Polish regime for Germans and others. Hundreds of Nobel Price bearers. Johannes Stark, Otto Stern, Werner Heisenberg. How many under the Polish Communist and now Polish Demo-Liberal regimes? 0.
@IustitiaPax Hahahah u r stupid.What r talking about? Your theory is completely cretinic.There was times of discoveries now it's different reality.How many Nobel prices for germans from Berlin where beeing stated i period of last 10 years?? 0
u poor little thing. see, if i were you, i guess i were pissed off too. germany or german ruled territory never had been removed from the maps...for let´s say arround 125 years minimum? hard faith, right? u like to be glued in the past it seems...so maybe to poland belongs only what the statutes of the congress of vienna are telling?
and nope...i am not a nazi. spare unqualified comments about it plz. i got some good polish friends in the past. young people...seeking their roots.
My mother was born in Breslau when it was still German. I visited the citiy in 2009 and was impressed how beautifuly the city has been built up again by the Polish. Opposite to some reubuilt German cities Wroclaw is still (or again) a beauty.
Youy germans would better stop that yelling on wrocław and the other cities, that were brought to ruins by your criminal politics, war and aggression. It is your national character quilt and you deserved for lost of all the territories you have been stealing from your neighbours for centuries.
look at the german cities rebuilt by DDR - germans under the communist regime and their cars - trabant and wartburg masterpieces. If Poland wouldn't be occupied for 50 years by communists (which was the final effect of the world war that germans started) we would be in far better condition that germany now. And you'd better see the polish cities that are rebuilt, and than write notes. Furthermore, it had to be rebuilt because of stupid german aggresion in 1939.
yes , that would be the right thing , actually borders are not right :) and im pro-allies in the two wars , btw i love germany and poland and eupen and elsass
breslau was a german city before the World War II? (and before nazi dictatorship? , i think it would be good that germany and poland have the same territories that before WWII , do u understand what i want to said? , btw , thanks for the answer
Changing borders would be a great economical and social problem for both states. Pomerania, Greater Poland, West Ukraine and West Belarussia are regions with rather great poverty. So FRG would have to spend even more money then they do today not only to encourage development of former GDR but also of present western Poland. The same thing with Poland and its former Eastern borderlands.
yeah, the prussia - cancer state stole it form austria monarchy in 1740, when austria had some dynasty problems. Prussians were always brave only when dealing with weaker partner. Like all germans - they are only brave when know that they are in majority and are stronger then the one they want to attack.
I know about the socio-economic problems. Please remember that Breslau was part of the Prussian-led German Empire 1870- July 1945. Please remember, that from 1335 Breslau belonged to the Holy Roman Empire. Until 1803. Whether under Prussia or under Austria. Breslau was part of Prussia since the Silesian Wars of the 18th century of course. But always German-speaking.
Breslau was ceded to Prussia by the Austrian Empire. Nothing more. And it was never named "Wroclaw" at that time. Slavic Upper Silesians called Breslau "Breslaw", and German Silesian dialect "Brassel". Never "Wroclaw".
Silesia was not gift for Prussia from Austria. Prussia took Silesia using a aggression war. Silesia is not never legally belonged to Prussia. You slandering Poland for activities, that praise when same have done Prussia.
thanks for the answer :) as for the last line , i think u want to said that Eupen and Elsass would have to be german , i think that Elsass have to be and independent country like german and poland , about eupen i think it has to be german :) please answer
@JonnyLightning i support the pre-1936 eastern border,and east part of byelorussia,and ukraine should be annexed by Russia,and Moldova should be a part of Romania,and northwestern Romania should give back to Hungary as well as novi sad,and Wilno,Tarnopol,Lvov,Kowel,Brest-Litovsk etc Should return to Poland,and Lithuania and Poland should be a commonwealth,and Konigsberg,Silesia,Pomerania back to germany,and Estonia and Finland becomes a nation....and Danzig Stolp should be a part of Poland...
@kekedog Whole Danzig,originally Gdańsk was,is and will be Poland.Polish Royal city of Gdańsk.This city belonged to Poland for more than 740 years!!! To Prussia/Germany for 200 years.U r retarded.
@MrThorn88 Gdansk as well as Sudetenland ,is always a part of Poland and Czech Rep,but the mayor and governors should be a German,but obey the polish constitution and be loyalty to polish gov,just like in china many many ethnic become a local officer in xinjiang,tibet and many other places just like Gdansk and Poznan.
@kekedog Why governors should be German? You think you are better?? This the stupidest idea I've ever heard.There's no germans in Sudetland and Gdańsk today.Poland is free democratic country and people choose their representants:governors and mayors.germans heve no rights to this lands or politics there.In china is different situation.I see u don't understand the simple logic things.And what Poznan has to do with that??It was only occupied by Prussians for 123 years.Before and after
@kekedog it was Polish and governed by Poles.Majority of population was always Polish even durion Prussian occupation.It's one of the first Polish cities,Former capital.Example of Polish renaissance architectural style.Germans only occupied it for 123 years and they have no ,even the smallest rights to the Poznań.Better laern the history and how to think logiacally.
Yes, naturally - only in "Weimarer Republik" you could find the name "Reichswehr". Later, in Hitler's Reich, the army was named "Wehrmacht", and in today's Germany it is called "Bundeswehr".
But the "Reichswehr" was only a professional army, it was no duty to serve there.
if im not wrong , "weimarer republik" is a name that only have been used by historicians right? , because the name , the official name was still deutsches reich right? , and some german maps had the following legend Deustches Reich-Weimarer Republik- Drittes Reich" , and so if the name was "Deutsches Reich" Hitler's Reich would be "IV Reich" right?
I read your so-called discussion and pronounce it to be just throwing information from unnown sources to discredit or laugh at the opposition. If all of you find it interesting to present your point of view it would be nice if you could also give some reference so that the others may verify those facts and maybe change their mind on some arguable issues...
Mr "IustitiaPax" Wrocław is now Polish city and was many years before. And please mind that we did not start WWII, if You don`t remember - I`m so sorry. Ok[?]
Breslau will never be a Polish city. It will remain a German city, with German soul and history since its settlement and foundation (even if under Silesian and Bohemian dukes the population was German-speaking). It will be under Polish administration like Lower Silesia and Stettin. But every stone speaks German in the city. From the Hala Stulecia (Jahrhunderthalle in reality) until the central train station. Poles remain foreigners there.
Breslau will never be a polish city only for some stubbon loosers who are unable to look forward and who are willing to always live in history. You always say "each stone in Breslau speaks German". But in fact it has practically no sense at all becouse Breslau/Wrocław was builded up almost brand new since it wasa almost completely destroyed during "fortress Breslau" times. You know it fine that 70%of city substance vanished than.
The Festung Breslau was not totally destroyed. Breslau (40 % of the remaining 60 %) was destroyed by Polish destruction policies; they took away entire houses and churches from Breslau to rebuild Warsaw - into an ugly Stalinist Polish city that is. "Revenge for October 1944". Until 1950 Breslau was ravaged. The modern stones are EU-sponsored restoration works. German stones. And paid for with German tax payers EU money. Stop kidding me. I know all historical details.

Lwów is in eastern Galicia, in mostly 70 % to 100 % ethnic Ukrainian western border lands. a question , polish was speaked in Breslau when it was still german? , or only was speaked after the objective of supressing all german in the city by the polish government?
uudrakgvens94 1 year ago
The Polish language was never spoken in Breslau before May 1945.
Before 1150 AD, the surroundings of Breslau had a Slavic-speaking small population. Royal Polish villages were founded, but not Polish-speaking.
About 600 Polish-speaking students lived in Breslau in 1918. From Upper Silesia and Posen.
Polish was imposed in 1945. All German citizens killed or deported in cattle trains to the West. Or transported to Siberia for forced labour by Stalinists.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax thank you for the answer, what was that slavic-speaking language? lower sorbian? polabian?, a question , how treated poland the second german empire when annexed their part from 1795-1918.

IustitiaPax 1 year ago
Breslau (Wratislavia) was founded by the Duke of Poland in a Silesian duchy of the Piasts, and named after the King of Poland. The Duke of Poland at that time, was supported by the Holy Roman German emperor more or less. Breslau was always bound for Germany.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax

IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
AZsaturn 1 year ago
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
AZsaturn 1 year ago
Akcja Wisla was against ethnic Ukrainians. Expulsion, deportation, forced migration to Ukrainian SSR or to East Prussia (occupied) or Pomerania or County of Glatz ("Klodzko"), then forced assimilation-Polonization by Polish (nationalist) Communists of Gomulka. UPA members were men. Ukrainian women and children. Lemko grandmothers are not UPA members! You defend Armia Ludowa and PRL?
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
PiS is contemporary Marshall Philippe Pétain? Yes maybe. In that they ally with USA and NATO against Russian Federation? Pétain never provoked war, never stationed missiles against Russian Army. I am not pro-Russian. I am just an analyst. I know that 2010 Katyn-Smolensk crash was probably an FSB (or joint CIA-FSB) action against Polish anti-globalist right-wing PiS politicians and army.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
AZsaturn 1 year ago
I do not hate modern Poland, but I hate anti-Germanism, anti-Russianism, anti-Ukrainianism of Polish nationalists. Polish nationalists from 1919-2010 are puppets of Entente Anglo-Saxon powers in provocation. And Poles think they will help their Polish Motherland. But instead, they are instruments of England, USA, France. In WW2 Rydz-Smigly could have been Mannerheim (Finland), but he became a looser in 1939.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
UPA was anti-Communist, anti-Soviet, anti-Polish, anti-AK, pro-nationalist and (1939-42, 1945) anti-Nazi. It is more complex. But you are a conservative Armia Krajowa, Narodowe Siły Zbrojne, Endecja (Dmowski) nationalist sympathizer yourself. You simplify things. I am from the Netherlands. I know all aspects. I know former collaborators, and former Resistance men (90 yrs old), communists and Christian-Democrats.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
My Catholic grandfather hid all war to escape working for "the German enemy". My Communist grandfather worked in an arms factory in Holland, but sabotages, illegally hid American pilots. He never hated the German people itself though. After the war, he and my grandmother loved to visit West Germany and loved German folk music. Like many Kashubians and Silesians did in secret.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
Your ancestors had no reason to feel no sympathy for the Reich. Everyday life in Holland during the occupation was not different than everyday life like before the war. Meanwhile, in the General Government, people felt pain or fear of terrible pain.
AZsaturn 1 year ago
In General Government, over 350,000 persons were in Armia Krajowa, killing German soldiers during expeditions, and attacking German military infrastructure. Blame the Polish govt. in exile. They created a "state of war" in Generalgouvernement für die besetzten polnischen Gebiete (GG for Occupied Polish territories). Most Poles in Wartheland had no churches. In Danzig-West Prussia, all Kashubians and Poles had churches (Latin, but only German confession), and all worked for Germany.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@AZsaturn Many Poles suffered. But German people are not responsible for 1943-45 Ukrainian-Polish ethnic conflicts in Volhynia and eastern Galicia (UPA, Armia Krajowa) or for Armia Krajowa vs. Soviet partisans conflicts, or NKVD operations in eastern Polish Kresy. Warsaw in 1944 was harsh, but military operation. Poles in Löbau (Lubawa) and Rahmel (Rumia, Kashubians mostly) suffered almost nothing.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
All men from the Netherlands were consigned to Forced Labour in Germany. Like most Polish men. In 1944-45, about 7,000 persons died, because of Dutch railway strike and Nazi refusal to use German war infrastructure for food. Allies did not launch food either until April 1945. About 7,000 Dutch elderly and children died from starvation in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht etc. etc.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@AZsaturn You should stop defending Communist Polish crimes. It proves, that Polish nationalists still identify with many "nationalist-Communist" Gomulka policies of the Polska Rzeczpospolita Ludowa (PRL). LPR party is Catholic, but too anti-German. It is patriotic, but too anti-German, anti-Lithuanian. Polish republican nationalism is not a Catholic ideal for me. It is a 19th century extreme relict of Polish defence during Kulturkampf.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
No fawning.
AZsaturn 1 year ago
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
I like Polish monarchists and Polish-Lithuanian iniatives. I do not hate Polish culture or Polish people. Not at all. I hate Nazi exclusivism too. I know that Nazi authorities destroyed Our Lady chapels in Poland, and were anti-Catholic (ex-Freemason Arthur Greiser in Warthegau!). But in Glatz (Klodzko), German monks were killed by Polish Communist and Polish nationalist colonists, even Polish extremist national priests.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
I hate clerical Polish extremist nationalism of LPR. Monarchism is Catholic. Extreme nationalism is a secular ideology of 19th century! Not Catholic. Why should Poles kill Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Landkreis Lwów/Lemberg? Why could Polish settlers murder German Catholic babies in Glatz/Klodzko or Patschkau/Paczków or Breslau? Why? I condemn all crimes, not only "Fascist" crimes.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
LPR is very young, a political party. So LPR could not do anything terrible. The program does not provide crimes.
AZsaturn 1 year ago
@AZsaturn I apologize. I like LPR politicians mostly. I like prof. dr. Maciej Giertych. But they, like you and other Polish nationalists, deny all evil crimes in Polish recent history. They blame only Germans and Soviets. But that is too simplistic. National Communism of Wladyslaw Gomulka was Stalin-approved version of Roman Dmowski and Endecja goals of "one nation in Poland". Ethnic cleansing is never good. I like LPR due to their stance on abortion and euthanasia. They are Catholics at least.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
I know LPR does not want to do terrible things. I also know many LPR politicians are secretly not anti-German at all.
It is the irony, that anti-Communist Poles were persecuted by anti-Communist Nazis. By October 1944, Nazis came to see this, and allowed Endecja Armia Krajowa units into Protectorate. Nazi leadership came to regret the fate of Warsaw Uprising fighters and civilians, betrayed by England and Stalin.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
Please remember, that today in Holland, we commemorate also the Liberators of the Netherlands, the Polish Forces of the West. We like the Poles. I like the Poles who liberated our towns like Breda from the Nazi occupation. The Germans were occupiers of the neutral Netherlands in 1940 of course. We had our Bakker Schut Plan, but it was rejected. Instead, Polish people were abused and betrayed again by Entente and Anglo-Americans in 1944-49.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@AZsaturn But I also know German soldiers. I know a man from Patschkau (Paczków) near Neisse (Nysa), then in Lower Silesia, who said that Polish soldiers were killing German SS officers, but were nice to him (Wehrmacht, 17 yr old). Meanwhile, the Benes-radicalized Czechs in Prague and Nachód were raping and killing German babies in front of his eyes. May 1945.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
Who is criminal, who is saint? None, but the German soldiers were more honourable mostly compared to Czech extremism (Czechs suffered nothing), Soviet mass raping, and Polish expulsion and murder of ethnic Germans 1939 and 1945-49. I do not say it was only Poles. It was also pro-Soviet collaborators like Salomon Morel, who is KZ Zgoda murdered German children cruelly. But Polish colonists until 2010 justify these crimes and genocide of 3 million. Ethnic cleansing.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
Go to Amsterdam's Government to claim all of the monument, which you so sympathize. But please do not force me to grieve the loss of their executioners. Otherwise, you said if the UPA was in the Netherlands. Life in the General Government was terrible. In the Netherlands, no.
AZsaturn 1 year ago
In the Generalgouvernement für die besetzten polnischen Gebiete life was at times horrible in regions. Polish victimization and PL victim statistics were largely falsified. Of course, with Armia Krajowa of 350,000 active underground soldiers, and one million Poles in Resistance and sabotage, you will get much repression. There was little repression in Ukrainian villages in Galicia, nor in Lithuanian villages. Nor in Belgium and France. Many collaborators. In Poland only Goralenvolk.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
AZsaturn 1 year ago
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
You need to add "Dr" when talking about Hans Frank? Esteem to such rotter is a faux pas. Even if the true statistics are much smaller, is sufficient for me. I'll be careful with the belief of new sensations. You glorification Reich for operations for which Poland slander. For the same operations.
AZsaturn 1 year ago
I hate the Nazi dictatorship. But I also hate the propaganda and falsification of history by new dicatorships, be they Allied Control Council or Soviet Union or Communist Poland or Wladyslaw Gomulka. My grandfather had friends who died in concentration camp Amersfoort in Holland. I have nothing to defend. But I like historical truth. I believe in Our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the King of truth. The King of the Holy Roman Empire in social reign, and also King of Poland.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
AZsaturn 1 year ago
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
Some Poles were nicer to German victims in 1946 of course. Some became friends. Like Polish workers and German colonist girls in Ciechanów 1942-44 Germanic settlement programme. We are all humans. But historical truth is historical truth. This means, that Polish people must recognize German cultural and state history of Silesia. The very name "Lubusz Voivodeship" is offending; Poland wants to annex Lebus (city) too?
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
"Lubusz Voivodeship" is name from Lubusz Land. Name during Middleages. And nothing. Most Voivodeship have names from Middleages.
AZsaturn 1 year ago
The Land Lebus was under German diocese of Lebus, but under Polish royal protection. Inhabitants were West-Slavic tribes like Obodrites. Not Poles. Polish duke Boleslaw Chobry had little influence, from 991 (Otto III, HRR, assigment to Poland) until 1121. Then it became Brandenburg fief. This Polish name sadly indicates a territorial claim on the town of Lebus in Brandenburg/Germany in 2010.

@IustitiaPax
AZsaturn 1 year ago
Lebus (city) is a small town in Germany. With German inhabitants. Once, in 1050 AD, a royal Polish fortification. Poland had fortifications in Kiev and even Minsk in 17th century. Does that mean, that Belarussians and Ukrainians have no right to that city?
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax

Citizens of Gorzow and Zielona Gora protested, so they got their Voivodeship. It has not been named or Gorzów Voivodeship or Zielona Góra Voivodeship, because both cities have the same meaning in the region. Used only common name during the Middleages. And nothing.
AZsaturn 1 year ago
"Gorzów Wielkopolski" (Landsberg an der Warthe) was never part of the Land of Lebus in medieval times. And Grünberg in Silesia (Zielona Góra) was never in it either. It was always part of Askanian margraves or of Lower Silesian duchies. The historical notion of Poles is based entirely upon 1919-1945 or 19th century Pan-Slavic propaganda of Polish nationalists.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax

IustitiaPax 1 year ago
The ethnogenesis of the West Slavic tribes is very complex. Most West Slavs had a Germanic substrate (very clear in Kashubians and Lusatians), and in 990 AD, the Slavicization of the Germanic Silingii remnant settlements in Nimptsch (Niemcza), Silesia, near the Zobten ("Slezka") had been completed. This was an organic process. Like Polonization of Józef Beck ancestors in early 19th century Congress Poland!
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
AZsaturn 1 year ago
Günther Grass is a Kashubian. Most Kashubians now live in Germany after 1945-46. Of course Kashubians are related to the Polish people and Slavs. But do not forget, that Pomerania (duchies of Stettin, Kolberg, Cammin, Demmin, Wolgast) was never ethnic Polish in 1100 AD. They were a separate people like Czechs or Obodrites. Masurians were archaic Polish-speaking Lutheran conservative farmers and fishermen. Voted for NSDAP 76 % (Lyck, Elk).
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
Whenever Günther Grass goes to Gdansk, the authorities literally worship him like for Jesus. Literally. Many celebrations. The sites from which it is bound, are commemorated by plaques. I guess in Germany is much less revered.
AZsaturn 1 year ago

AZsaturn 1 year ago
Dura veritas, sed veritas. It is true. Masurians considered their archaic Polish dialect as a dialect, but considered themselves Germans. In rural districts, they voted up to 79 % for NSDAP in 1932. Long before takeover of Adolf Schicklgruber. History is very complex.... Margrabowo became Treuburg (Olecko). Catholic Warmian Polish immigrants of 18th century in Dietrichswalde and Braunswalde were pro-Polish. 7 % in Warmia voted for Poland. 0.2 % in Masuria.
IustitiaPax 1 year ago
@IustitiaPax
I admit that I had had a guilty conscience because Mazurians. But now sure I was wrong. What is complex? Masuria was part of Royal Prussia. But the whole area of East Prussia was our Achilles heel. From the Middle Ages. Shame for the Polish, not tackled to this earlier.

@AZsaturn Masuria was in the Duchy of Prussia (1525), not in Royal Partition of Prussia. In East Prussia. Masuria is not Warmia/Ermland.

And you'd better see the polish cities that are rebuilt, and than write notes. Furthermore, it had to be rebuilt because of stupid german aggresion in 1939.

Breslau was a part of German Empire since 1740s.
Leibht 2 years ago
yeah, the prussia - cancer state stole it form austria monarchy in 1740, when austria had some dynasty problems. Prussians were always brave only when dealing with weaker partner. Like all germans - they are only brave when know that they are in majority and are stronger then the one they want to attack.
vlaad4444 1 year ago

@kekedog Why governors should be German? You think you are better?? This the stupidest idea I've ever heard.There's no germans in Sudetland and Gdańsk today.Poland is free democratic country and people choose their representants:governors and mayors.germans heve no rights to this lands or politics there.In china is different situation.I see u don't understand the simple logic things.And what Poznan has to do with that??It was only occupied by Prussians for 123 years.Before and after
MrThorn88 1 month ago
@kekedog it was Polish and governed by Poles.Majority of population was always Polish even durion Prussian occupation.It's one of the first Polish cities,Former capital.Example of Polish renaissance architectural style.Germans only occupied it for 123 years and they have no ,even the smallest rights to the Poznań.Better laern the history and how to think logiacally.

Yes, naturally - only in "Weimarer Republik" you could find the name "Reichswehr". Later, in Hitler's Reich, the army was named "Wehrmacht", and in today's Germany it is called "Bundeswehr".
But the "Reichswehr" was only a professional army, it was no duty to serve there.
refohtiew 2 years ago
if im not wrong , "weimarer republik" is a name that only have been used by historicians right? , because the name , the official name was still deutsches reich right? , and some german maps had the following legend Deustches Reich-Weimarer Republik- Drittes Reich" , and so if the name was "Deutsches Reich" Hitler's Reich would be "IV Reich" right?
sorry if that was bother :)

IustitiaPax 2 years ago
Breslau will never be a polish city only for some stubbon loosers who are unable to look forward and who are willing to always live in history. You always say "each stone in Breslau speaks German". But in fact it has practically no sense at all becouse Breslau/Wrocław was builded up almost brand new since it wasa almost completely destroyed during "fortress Breslau" times. You know it fine that 70%of city substance vanished than.
Hetmannnn 2 years ago
The Festung Breslau was not totally destroyed. Breslau (40 % of the remaining 60 %) was destroyed by Polish destruction policies; they took away entire houses and churches from Breslau to rebuild Warsaw - into an ugly Stalinist Polish city that is. "Revenge for October 1944". Until 1950 Breslau was ravaged. The modern stones are EU-sponsored restoration works. German stones. And paid for with German tax payers EU money. Stop kidding me. I know all historical details.
