There are at least 2 (may be 3) recordings of this polonaise mentioned in Sofronitsky's discography. This was marked as 1959 but I don't know where it's from.
To me it sounds like the one from Igor Nikonovich's private collection (dated 1960 there, although that may be publication instead of recording date) - perhaps my favourite of the piece. Or are you going to shock us all and come up with an even better version than this?! :-)

he really was. i heard this also from a teacher of mine from moscow that was colleagues with richter , etc. he said that sofronitsky was like a legend among the "russian school" of players.
what a power of this great pianist!
