  • Where are all your Tele's and strat's made?? USA? Japan? Mexico?

  • LONGER VIDEO FOR THIS!

  • Whats a maple cap?

  • @PBANDSNOW the neck is not made from one piece, it has a glued on fingerboard, like a rosewood neck, but with maple wood. Sounds in between a rosewood and a 1pc maple neck

  • '66 snore**** :P

  • This just made me tingle.

  • What is a maple cap?

  • What shall i save up for?

A Gibson SG Standard (Heritage Red) or a Fender Standard Telecaster (Sunburst)?

  • I got the mexican version. Sounds great too.

  • What kind of pickups on that Tele?

  • Just bought a candy apple red tele. wooohooo tele's!!!!!!1

  • Oh man.

    This guitar is pure RAWK.

    This does everything beastly.

  • which song does Phil play, right after saying "Let's rock it out"? That song has been stuck in my head for ages. PLEASE answer this post :P thanks!!! Keep up the amazing job and keep making me wanna rob your store :)

  • @Gilad11235 Joe Walsh - Life's Been Good

    (i think)

  • What's your favorite: Telecaster or Stratocaster ?

  • This guy is what's wrong with southern california

  • What is the song at 00:42?

  • it would be funny to see phil play on a cheap set, just to see how much it affects the sound, bet he can make a $50 guitar sound $1500 lol

  • Noob Question: Can someone please tell me what a Maple Cap neck is? Does that just mean it's a maple neck, and maple fret-board?

  • @Dugger1997 Yes it does . A Rosewood Cap would look "black" on the frontside and "white" on the backside.

  • @Dugger1997 its a maple neck, with a laminated maple fretboard :P

  • @ponlm

I hate that combo. All of my Fenders - including 57 P-bass - have one piece maple necks. My PRS swamp ash special has a glued on fretboard and it plain sucks. I put together a Warmoth P-bass and I could only get a laminated fretboard with that neck. They are supposed to be a licensed Fender replacement outfit and can't do the necks.

I guess no one knows the difference.

  • Excellent ! Is it an american model ?

  • @CaptainJbp I think back in the 60's all fenders were american but i'm not entirely sure.

  • oh. my. god... so beautiful

  • You guys do amazing demos! I would love to see more esquires and p-90 loaded guitars if you can. GREAT WORK!!!

  • song in the intro, what song is that? sounds like aerosmith

  • dude id be happy to listen to you play all day, do you have a site with recordings on or something man cus your awsome, those guitars are amazing!!

  • He could make a $100 Squier from Wal Mart sound good.

  • That candy apple red looks hot on a Tele!

  • that axe is in the R&R hall of fame, perhaps you should have mentioned that.

  • sic tone. how did jimmy page get that kinda tone with no 60 cycle hum in the early dayz of zepplin?

  • @madamkirk middle position and he modified the neck pickup with a revserse winding epic i know

  • nice pink taco shirt

  • where is your shop located?

  • I don't particularly like Telecasters. I don't really even like any kind of eletric Fender. I'm a Gibson man

  • which would somebody prefer

    maple or alder guitar body?

  • I´d stick to the maple just because it is harder, but that alder guitar sounds like a screeching devil

  • well, I believe alder has a brighter sound, and it's generally lighter than maple. I may be wrong, but that's from my experience.

  • I'd stick to maple. I just like the weight and sound

  • what does maple cap mean?

  • Maple cap means a maple fretboard, since most early Strats and Tele's had one piece maple neck with the truss rod inserted from the back. So it's a separate maple board for the neck now, truss rod route under the fretboard, and the maple board glued on top, rather than just carving from one solid piece.

  • @fordomatic178

Are you sure about that? I think maple cap means maple on the top of the body--like a Les Paul has.

  • Phil, I have a Tele myself and want to know, what are the amp settings for bass, treble and mid that you are using? Awsome Tone!!!

  • whats the best way to practice for a begginer on guitar

  • @frankixbox learn your chords

  • practice your chords. once you are able to change chords easily. learn your scales. and learn your fretbord.

  • Constantly.

  • Best guitar in the world is whatever one I currently own.

  • wat amp?

  • Sweet guitar! What's the song starting from 1:05?

  • lifes been good by Joe Walsh

  • This is why I love my Tele.

  • There are no best guitar or best guitar brand guys, but there are one best guitar for ever individual guitarrist I think.

  • That absolutly right. You can play everything on every guitar, it just depends on how it suits to you.

  • you know what you're talking about;)

  • lol'd

  • 2 riffs in this are stand out amazing

what are u playing from 30 seconds in to 50 seconds in?

They sound incredible, as does the guitar, as do you, as always

  • you can use a good tele for almost every style of music. they are very versatile.

  • its so annoying when people say they like one guitar 'definitly' better than the other or others, like there is no question in it, its all opinion so shut up

  • Sweet guitar. And the Candy Apple Red finish is the icing on the TeleCake.

  • well, james root uses a telecaster, but he switched it for EMG pickups to play his type of music, so really the tele body has nothing to do with it, it's just preference

  • In fact,Jim has not just the tele+EMG's,but It's a mahagony body tele.

  • telecaster beats les paul when it comes to playing classic rock. but when its metal. the gibson wins

  • dude, do you even know how many classic rock songs were recorded on a les paul? well... maybe you're right and jimmy page, joe perry, billy gibbons, joe walsh, pete townsend, jeff beck, peter frampton and the guy from free are wrong.

  • haha the guy from free you mean Paul Kossoff

  • actually, the solo from stairway to heaven was played on a tele in mid position, and jimmy page still uses teles, just not much.jeff beck played teles in the yardbirds, so thats another user. also, all the others have probably used telecasters at one point.

  • sure, everybody's used tele's. they sound great for any kind of music. but buddy..., there's no way i'll ever believe jimmy page used a tele in mid position for the solo to stairway to heaven. unless, of course, he called me and told me himself.

  • Joe Walsh plays a Tele in the 1976 performance of "Hotel California"... Clapton played a red tele in the yardbirds,

Frampton played a Strat on his Midnight Special performance of "Show me the way". Pete Townshend's and Jeff Beck's signature models are Strats. (Seymour Duncan owns Beck's Esquire). And yes, Jimmy page played a tele on Stairway to Heaven. I have it in an interview with Page in Guitar World Jan 2002, (pg 94). The acoustic part was on a Harmony, and 12 string, a Fender electric 12.

  • LOL

  • Not technactly. I know James Root from slipknot used a Tele. And well we all now how they play. Theres and Ibanez that mick uses though

  • yeah but the tele he uses has EMG humbucker on it, idk if this will still allow the twangy telecaster sound, but they changes their guitars very often, at least Mick: he has B.C. rich ones, too and used to play jacksons with a V shape.

  • nah... telecasters and les pauls are a bit different. but gibson does rule the hard rock/metal world as well as the blues world

  • Gibson does NOT rule the blues world

strats and teles for the win

  • albert king, bb king, freddie king, howlin wolf, derek trucks, joe bonamassa, clapton (for a time) elmore james, duane allman, mike bloomfield, billy gibbons, etc etc

strats and teles dont win, i'd say fender and gibson are in a close race.

  • @TurtleRocker12

but Les Paul own the Solo world ;)

Jimmy And Slash = Les Paul FTW!!!!!

  • @TurtleRocker12 Gibson has better sustain

  • @TurtleRocker12 They are both very different sounds :) it is literally the difference between Alder and a single coil and Mahogany and a humbucker.

  • @TurtleRocker12 about bb king...

  • even though strats are the best allroung guitars

  • One of the best looking Telecasters I've seen.

  • very badass collection

    very cool Tele!!

what kind of amp are you playing thru?

  • I think this was the Marshall Studio 15

  • @jorghad6 Of course the Tele is awesome, it's a Fender!!!

  • what is that song that Phil is playing after he turns on the distortion? isn't it somthing by joe walsh?

  • its james gang so yeah basicly joe walsh

  • =O I see Les pauls!

  • I was wondering. What amp is being used in this video?

  • Are these demos the real guitars from the day or are they re-issues?

  • All of our Guitars are ORIGINAL friend :)

  • Awesome! I had hoped that this was the case.

  • @frettedamericana And when you say "friend", you really mean "dummy".

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • U rule!

  • kickass
