I can tell you why it's called Loss of Me and Rose of May.

The song is called Rose of May and whoever original translated the song from Japanese katakana into English didn't know how to read it properly and mistranslated it to Loss of Me and as a result lots of people call it that.

But it is definitely Rose of May and Loss of me was a mistake. :)

"Loss of Me" is a mistranslation - the title of the song in Japanese is "ローズ・オブ・メイ", which is equivalent to "roozu obu mei", which is pronounced more similarly to "Rose of May" than "Loss of Me"

The key signiture indicates to always play B as flat, so yeah. What I meant was, I don't know / can't figure out the chords played with the left hand. In the middle part (while the left hand is going DEFG GAGFE etc.) It looks like CEG and something but when I play it that doesn't sound right.

It doesn't help that I'm a beginner and can't read music that well. FACE EGBDF / ACEG GBDFA is all I know of reading music, essentially.

Ah, well thanks, I wasn't sure if this was the actual version that played in the game or not. Either way, I think it's awesome.

And if this IS the actual song, it might've played during all of the encounters with Beatrix herself, but I'm not sure. Also, and I'm fairly certain about this one, I think it played when Alexandria was under attack from the mist monsters, and Beatrix and Steiner had to go fight 'em.

Actually, I don't think that this version of it was played during the game, but was just used in the soundtrack. The version that played in the game, with your encounters with Beatrix, was a remixed theme. I'm not completely sure though, it's been a while since I played FFIX (I really need to play it again sometime; it's always been my favorite of the series), but I think that's what happened.
