  • how long u had it for? and does it grind bigger bones well? and if so does that do damage to the machine?

  • @keysofluvher1

After a little over 2 years of using it 1-2 x per month to grind about 40 packages of chicken necks, the grinder started to have problems. The motor would seize and I would have to constantly reset it as well as take it all apart as meat was backing up behind the blade. The company offered me $200 off a new one. Luckily, through my husbands business and his great mechanics, it was determined that the brass wear bushing had worn out.

I had a machine shop make a new wear bushing for $60 and it is working again. I love the grinder but would not buy another one as the bushing will eventually wear out again. I would look for a used Hobart instead. I do have another video showing the problem I had with the grinder..showing the motor seizing.

  • @ahedovu thanks a lot...i appreciate it

  • lol@the dog licking the bowl

What model is that and does it do turkey thighs or wings?

  • It is the SB-840 and yes, it will do much larger bones than just chicken parts...it comes with different size plates as well.

  • Pretty awesome!!!! Is that Stella trying to peak up at what's going n?

  • Of course...Stella does her best to sneak licks from the bowl.
