  • When I think about it there are many aspects of this band that amaze me, even now. They had such an extensive catalog of memorable songs, yet it seems comparatively few ever got full refinement or 'publication' (serious promotion). More amazing to me though, is remembering how after performing live, the band members conversed with you like friends, seemed honored to be there and you mattered to them. Years or decades later Mark would still remember you on a reunion tour, as if long lost family.

  • Only "The Chameleons"!!!

  • Excellent Tony! It was great to see you (at a distance unfortunately) at Band On The Wall on the 14th. What a cracking night all round!

I thought at first the onstage photos in this video were from the York Rock festival back in 84, don't suppose you've got any pics from then as well?

  • Great stuff. Shame this is the only version of it. Loved the ChameleonsVox last Monday =).

  • Shame that this was only played at the Sub61 gig last December, Chameleons VOX setlist is getting cack.......seriosity and tears need dropping imo. Bring in more classics like this I say....whoops a daisy.

  • @figurehead1971 i agree, thats whats stopping me getting tickets tbh

  • Where on earth could I find this song? Is it available online? - Anywhere other than Youtube?

  • marvelous song...I miss The Chameleons... :(

  • Have seen them at alsdorf-festival near aachen, germany, in 1984 together with bands like the cure, the cult and talk talk... They were the best of all. Still they are the best for me today and ever.

  • Yes. Mark wrote about this gig in his book.

There he was introduced to Robert Smith. He wasnt very amused about this guy at all.

  • last time i met all the band was at the ritz in manchaster and last time i spoke to mark face to face was was at dingwalls in camden and before that was at the flowerpot in derby.

  • fair play mate, maybe are path's will cross at a bushart gig.

  • so raw but such a great band, such a shame that so many people will never be lucky enough to hear there music, i feel so honoured to have both met and seen them live many times,no bannd comes close.
