Its a shame Emirates dont use the A340 on their AKL trip any more.

@ek433 Personal preference i guess. I like the A340 because of the 2 - 4 - 2 seat arrangement. My wife and i like to have 2 seats to ourselves with a 3rd person in the mix lol

Unusually it was a fairly full flight to BNE, flight time was roughly 3 hours. I'm not sure if you heard, but the engine noise was playing for the take-off section, I'm sorry to say that in front of the engines in the 345 there is very little engine noise, so there was no major engine spool like on the 77W! Sorry.

Its alright :) RR Trents 500 cant be compared to the massive GE90-115b

The 3hr leg is only part of the flight, EK435 does AKL-BNE-DXB so the aircraft on AKL-BNE has to be able to do the 14hr leg to DXB. Nothing beats the GE90!

Ha Ha, yeah, it was the first time in a 345 since the MEL incident, the only thing that put peace in my mind was that I know that the 2 pilots flying that aircraft have since resigned!! But yeah, unfortunately I think it is going to get scrapped! :(
