Also, so it's clear to everyone: That is a dry chemical. Probably Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO3), which would be advantageous because it's almost entirely non-toxic and works quite well on burning liquids.

Second, the system uses co2 to push the chemical out but the co2 itself is not used to extinguish the fire.
