@DANTEDALLARM I know that Devon is super strong, but John seemed off, not at his best. It looked way too easy. I mean, even Tim Bresnan managed to win his first round against Devon, and Todd won 2 rounds in their match, are both these guys better than a strong Brzenk? I love Devon, but this looked like a joke. I don't think the 230lbs Vendetta John would win either, but surely it would be much closer?

They are both are the best in the world with their technique, but devon was just too strong this day, I would love to see john peak one last time and give devon another go I think it would be one of the best matches of all time.

John may have been injured but he was never going to win this match. Only other person to ever go through John like this was Voevoda.

Not to say it wouldn't have been different on another day, but Devon was a league above John on this one.

This match was back in 2008. If i remember, John had complained here that he wasn't in shape and he was suffering from tennis elbow.

i think every time john want to use toproll, devon know it and devon deal with it correctly, he knew john would attack from the inside of his wrist, devon 's defense is very powerful, as long as devon's wrist was in good position, john couldnt toproll him by either high-hand or low-hand toproll, devon and john , they are both strong and are my favorite athletes, it is just that in this match devon used the right technique against John and Devon won.

I can't know what he was feeling but he looked disappointed and maybe embarrassed. I don't know him well enough to judge his expressions though these are only my observations.

Devon really did destroy John here. I would like to see John get a second shot at Devon at 230 lbs and injury free before he gets too old.. The good news is it seems like he's finally been healing up and getting ready to pull again (looking at vs zoloev video) so we'll see..
