  • cheap trick/cheap trick is one of the best albums ever made.

  • @MrKirkenstein That's so correct!!!

  • I wonder how many times I have listened to this album in my life?! Since I am 46 now and began in 1979... I'm going to have to say a lot. I freaking love this entire album. And they are still my favorite band to see live. STILL.

  • Is this the earliest Cheap Trick video available? Would love to see some from before they got signed. They rock on that first album but before they were signed they were even edgier. Love that.

  • I know they were really popular in Japan - do you suppose this song is where Hello Kitty gets its name?

  • They may have been playing live when these videos were made but the original audio has been replaced by studio recordings. I've listened to the album too many times to not know.

  • tard, its called rock n roll part 2 and u can go count the 5 bill bands that stole tricks shiy start with green day

  • really? cant you tell me more about it?

  • green day doesnt have a single song with this beat, alots of tom triplets though, but i understand its hard for you to get specific pattern in your non musician ear.... fucktard

  • @ollecarlsson hitchin a ride is a variation of this beat

  • Awesome...just awesome! I'm glad this archive video stuff is finally seeing the light of day!!!

  • This was when Cheap Trick were at their best (1977). Their first 4 albums are masterpieces.

  • Truer words were never spoken!

  • I saw them in 1977 when they opened up for KISS.

You hit the nail right on the head =D

  • You sure got that right. I own three of those four albums. We own a Dream Police record!

  • Night Gallery, Monopoly, Haymakers, Beginnings, Thirsty Whale.... Ah my mis-spent youth!

  • Brat Stop!

  • Hell Yeah, I remember the Brat Stop...

  • Hey Lister! You still in the area?

  • Nope... Seattle. I go back every now and then though.

  • this song is like one of our 6th grade theme songs.

  • This song rocks! What was Night Gallery? Was it a show or a club?

  • was an allnite rock club in waukegan il. bands would play til 6am then we would get breakfast till 7 then hit the dive bars that opened at 7 probably killed a bunch of us. down the street was next door same format.damn those were crazy times

  • Hey thanks for the info. It is interesting to hear from someone who was there.

  • The Night Gallery rocked, literally. I saw Cheap Trick there 3 times (in '76). Also the place where I first saw Roadmaster and Shoes, and a favorite local band, Hot mama Silver". I knew the owner, Mike D. But it's where I became introduced and hooked on the world's greatest rock band, Cheap Trick!

  • google outspoken blues lots of waukegan bands info including hot mama silver

  • Thanks. My neighbor, Bill Kirchmeyer gave me a 45 of "The Outspoken Blues", Mister Your A Better Man Than I" Wish I still had it. That is what got me into the whole 60's garage band genre. Thanks for the info BigBishop1 Oh, the memories!

  • Cheap Trick 1977-

Raw & Crazy...just like the Trick!!

  • Cheap Trick = untouchable!

  • why the hell is'nt this band in the rock n roll hall of fame?

  • That is a very good question. We should start a petition.

  • i'VE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW. CHEAP TRICK AND ALICE COOPER ARE THE TWO BIGGEST OMISSIONS FROM THE HALL.

  • The "hall" is a joke:...no KISS????...no Rush...no Cheap Trick...no Alice Cooper...no Iron Maiden....it is a great big political joke....all of the bands I've mentioned have influenced much worse bands that are already in there....

  • The golden years of Cheap Trick . Rick Nielson is a friggin genius when it comes to writing the perfect power pop rock n roll song.

  • further proof that Cheap Trick is the best American rock and roll band of the last 30 years. And Zander has the BEST teeth ever! Motley Crue can sell out stadiums, sure, but CT will always be the big dogs of US rock.

  • This so rock !
