I wonder how many times I have listened to this album in my life?! Since I am 46 now and began in 1979... I'm going to have to say a lot. I freaking love this entire album. And they are still my favorite band to see live. STILL.
Is this the earliest Cheap Trick video available? Would love to see some from before they got signed. They rock on that first album but before they were signed they were even edgier. Love that.
They may have been playing live when these videos were made but the original audio has been replaced by studio recordings. I've listened to the album too many times to not know.
green day doesnt have a single song with this beat, alots of tom triplets though, but i understand its hard for you to get specific pattern in your non musician ear.... fucktard

was an allnite rock club in waukegan il. bands would play til 6am then we would get breakfast till 7 then hit the dive bars that opened at 7 probably killed a bunch of us. down the street was next door same format.damn those were crazy times
The Night Gallery rocked, literally. I saw Cheap Trick there 3 times (in '76). Also the place where I first saw Roadmaster and Shoes, and a favorite local band, Hot mama Silver". I knew the owner, Mike D. But it's where I became introduced and hooked on the world's greatest rock band, Cheap Trick!
Thanks. My neighbor, Bill Kirchmeyer gave me a 45 of "The Outspoken Blues", Mister Your A Better Man Than I" Wish I still had it. That is what got me into the whole 60's garage band genre. Thanks for the info BigBishop1 Oh, the memories!
The "hall" is a joke:...no KISS????...no Rush...no Cheap Trick...no Alice Cooper...no Iron Maiden....it is a great big political joke....all of the bands I've mentioned have influenced much worse bands that are already in there....
further proof that Cheap Trick is the best American rock and roll band of the last 30 years. And Zander has the BEST teeth ever! Motley Crue can sell out stadiums, sure, but CT will always be the big dogs of US rock.

I know they were really popular in Japan - do you suppose this song is where Hello Kitty gets its name?

This was when Cheap Trick were at their best (1977). Their first 4 albums are masterpieces.
