@JoshhhyyxD That's ironic, because the hook on this version of High Voltage uses vocal FX similar to auto-tune to achieve that robot-style voice. It's not AutoTune that sucks, it's the retarded rap mainstream that beats it to death and uses it to disguise shitty vocal performances.

And there are thousands of records that use AutoTune in such small degrees that it's not noticeable, or use AutoTune as an FX processor on things other than vocals to get strange effects.

They weren't generic at all, they actually tried a completely different approach to their sound involving a mix of shoegaze, electronica and alternative - and they pulled it off brilliantly. Mike did rap in ATS, and Han was involved in every single song, using synth and mixes.

So I don't know what the fuck you're going on about.

they dropped the whole LP atmosphere for a generic atmosphere, they used to be graffiti baggy clothed rockers with a very fresh look on things. they were a building block for a generation.

their whole grimy graffiti look was then replaced by 'fashionable clothing'

and believe me, a thousand suns is completely obliterated in comparison to any older album.
