@Mrsjhasmincruz wire gauge - not sure, I bought it a long time ago (ask at an art's supply store what gauge size is good for earrings & wrapping)
Feathers & feather charm from the Dollar Store
Everything else (pliers, wire, earringwire) at either a local sewing shop or the Omer Deserres art store (in Canada). - all listed in the description box. thanks
@scmasone2 if you know how to make one to start off with - you can always disinfect before using. Also, it depends what it's mad out of because some people have allergic reactions to certain metals.
@babycakers56 Just a regular dollar store in Canada, which had a whole bunch in a bag. They weren't amazing quality, but it's good to practice with cheaper supplies. I really want to try this with better quality feathers, though.
@cherrygarciaful I'm really not sure, it definitely has to be thinner. I bought it a long time ago, and at that time I asked someone at the crafts store which size I should use. :S
@ForAdam really? thanks. i might refilme a different one in the future because back when i filmed this one i didn't know how to make the camera focus properly.
@tbloodawesome I would have, but these feathers weren't great quality. I doubt I could make a hole without the quills falling apart. I've seen other tutorials that do that with peacock feathers and things. i have yet to find really nice ones :(
Your vid was awesome!!! So pleasant... The song wasnt overpowering the instructions. You made it simple, and clear. Step by step... I loved it... Keep up the good work hun!
Oh I love the one with the pokadots :D so adorable! Where did you get thoses little feather charms ? I'm thinking of making some of my own and these are so cute !! thanks for the tutorial :)
THANK YOU for this tutorial. I just went to Michaels a few days ago. They had feathers but I was clueless as to how to turn them into earrings...NOT anymore!! I will fa sho be rocKin mines tomorrow!
@TrippSwitch I answer this in the comments to the user keychay and wrote in the description box.
"i think it's anywhere between 22 ga and 28 ga, i googled what would be the standard gauge for wire wrapping. I'm not sure what size mine is because I threw out the packaging months ago. Maybe try asking someone in an arts/crafts supply store where they sell wires." ;)
I am making feather earrings to sale and I can't find pretty feathers anywhere!!!! The only ones I can find are shitty crafting ones... :( Can anyone help me? There is a Micheal's near here so I might try there BUT I would love suggestions. THANKS :D
@threadlessfan I want more natural looking ones that aren't dyed but I'm really not sure where to get better ones myself. Plus, I live in Canada, I don't really know where you can get them in the States. :p
That's really creative, I wish I had my ears pierced now haha. The purple one you showed at the end, with a silver charm, looked really pretty! I'd love to see more DIY videos like this :)
@Stouchy the dollar store, it was a dollar for a bar full of the colored ones. not all of them are usable. I need to find peacock feathers or fancier feathers, it would be even nicer.
@keychay i think it's anywhere between 22 ga and 28 ga, i googled what would be the standard gauge for wire wrapping. I'm not sure what size mine is because I threw out the packaging months ago. Maybe try asking someone in an arts/crafts supply store where they sell wires. sorry about that ;)

Cool earrings! I think it'll be better if you just attach the feathers to the earring hooks with jumprings.
