Backbreaker would be a great game if it had some improvements.
1. A Different game industry besides 505 games, maybe 2k because 505 is pretty small and 2k is big.
2. The physics are good, but some ridiculous things happen, especially after the play. People get up doing flips b/c they get bumped into.
3. A more of a Madden like few, if your playing backbreaker and you press R1(ps3) or left bumper(360). It would be an awesome view to play the game, and it would be

6. Realistic padding, rather than Styrofoam looking pads with abs on them. Actual jerseys. More acessories to add on to the player, height and weight change, everyone position looks the same. Add faces into the game , not everyone should have a mic and a black visor.
7.Better play books, like fake field goals and fake punts.
8. No suction blocking , its rediculously impossible to make a sack with the new great house patch. O-line should be able to cut.
9. The run game, its so annoying. Sometimes you get lucky and youll get a hole to run through but most of the same youre hit in the backfield as soon as you touch the ball b/c the run game is so slow. Players need to be faster. Pre- greathouse running was great, all i would do was run over my opponents but now I rarely run.
Basically, if you just took Madden or NCAA without the gameplay, and added Backbreaker's physics and hits, no canned animations, and a 3rd person overhead view,then you'd have a godly american football game that would be the greatest ever made.

after the patch (not seen in demo) i think it turned into a much more realistic football game and a thoroughly enjoyable one, the physics adds another dimension, all that the madden fanboys are annoyed by is the camera, which doesn't take that much getting used to, i don't play it or any other game that much, but i find it a casual and fun experience

There was a patch that recently was released. it changes the passing game and its more fast pace. new instant replay camera angles so you can see that awesome play you did and theres new stadiums. :D

Ok so the game has cool tackeling but its nowhere near a deep as madden in the gameplay department this game would be a killer years ago when madden wasnt as famous
@ridikuless1 i told you guys this game wouldn't be the Madden killer that so many hoped. i played the demo as well and it just wasn't a good experience at all...couple the frustrating gameplay with the fact that there is no NFL license and you have a recipe for a very weak retail debut.

Does this game have customizability? If a game would just add customizability where you could edit all the players, attributes, teams, fields, uniforms, etc... you know that if the game were good, someone would just edit everything and release it to the masses, just like people do with the rosters for NCAA and The Show. I do think the June release date is brilliant.

well sorry but this is not football, this is a bunch of upgraded ragdoll physics thas all it is..... GTA IV used this system and honestly, using these physics are NOT realistic...none of these tackles look real, not even the jukes that were used to evade the tackles in this video looks real. i played college ball for 4 years, and never saw any of this junk. Madden is still better mechanics-wise. this game is a joke clearly..
well history shows that if you don't have an NFL license, you won't be met with much success. just ask 2K Sports and Midway. i actually want it to succeed because i was one of the first to have interest in it BUT reality of it is that it faces a huge uphill battle..especially with failed marketing.

If they made one where it was first person, you pick a player on both offense and defense, and that's the position you play all through the game. THAT WOULD BE SO SICK! you mean overly dramatized? I want to fill you in on something, dramatization is what makes things interesting in movies and in video games. without it you have boring moments i.e. someone going to a atm machine getting their money and feeling happy. dramatization would be like this, go to the atm, machine doesn't give you your money so you pull out a pistol and shoot it then money flies out, etc... humans thrive on drama.
The reason why the defenders are flying threw the air like that is because they are in aggresive mode going for the big hurt, theres a mode when you can just go for the *sure* tackle buy just wrapping em up, but these guys are all in aggresive mode.

Keeping in mind, don't expect to see anything to do with the NFL, EA bought everything to do with the NFL, so it would be impossible to make another football game, so this has [can't have] nothing to do with the NFL, still looks pretty sweet though. @visibility7 Actually Rockstar North bought the technology of the Euphoria engine to use for natural body motions in death. It wasn't made by them.
Still Euphoria does kick ass and I am excited of the possibilities it brings to a football game.
The game I'm most looking forward to also used this technology, Red Dead Redemption. Awesome game, Game of the Year if not for all the Halo fanboys.

It's been pushed back to April 2010. No exact day when it will be released but so far it will be sometime in April of 2010.

well to me the tackling is to blitzy like.some of those tackles u do in nfl automatic unnecessary roughness.i can give on some of the physics but i needs a real demo not something that looks cgi rather than real gameplay.

yo they should put cfl teams on this since cfl doesnt have a game and even though there is are only 8 teams in the cfl the should still put cfl teams on it and u should be able to make teams on it to then i would make more teams

i play football and for the most part if you want to hit someone hard you throw your body at them like they do in this game but this game has them being exagarrated because they wanted the game to be slightly arcadish so it would be funner to play even though i would perfer the diving to be toned down but they have preety much our whole lives to come out with this game damn ive been waiting so long for this game to come out ive benn following this game for two years now and it seems like 10 more

you mean overly dramatized? I want to fill you in on something, dramatization is what makes things interesting in movies and in video games. without it you have boring moments i.e. someone going to a atm machine getting their money and feeling happy. dramatization would be like this, go to the atm, machine doesn't give you your money so you pull out a pistol and shoot it then money flies out, etc... humans thrive on drama.

The reason why the defenders are flying threw the air like that is because they are in aggresive mode going for the big hurt, theres a mode when you can just go for the *sure* tackle buy just wrapping em up, but these guys are all in aggresive mode.

Keeping in mind, don't expect to see anything to do with the NFL, EA bought everything to do with the NFL, so it would be impossible to make another football game, so this has [can't have] nothing to do with the NFL, still looks pretty sweet though. IF EA would get of thier lazy ass amd TRY to make a good madden game instead of spend 100 mil on this licence to they wouldn't have to, well, we can only wish.
