@elisaideth Thanks for the comment. She is very creative and patient-each chair took over 6 hours to make.I think she has more time than sense-ha ha!!We are both so pleased and surprised at the reaction from everyone.Thanks.
@magicdreamcatcher Thanks so much for the comment. We are so glad you like it.Labour of love it is.For example, each chair took over 6 hours to make!I think my mum has more time than sense-ha ha!.She has loved doing this and is thrilled that everyone has enjoyed it so much.
my goodness! i'm 13 now and i would have adored that doll house as a child! i'm amazed by the quality and detail put into it, even the plates and cups have pasterns on and i'm stunned by the beauty of it all, well done to you and your mum.
@Parkkyyy Sorry for the delay, but THANK YOU so much for the comment. She is a very talented and patient person. She is still making things for it!Mum didn't want me to make the video, but I made her as I thought it would go down well with a "few" people, but not over 3000 people! We are stunned. Thanks again.
How much? To make or to buy? I will answer both questions. So far it has cost me$AUD2,200 for everything as you see it (except those items which were gifts) but not including my time spent which I cannot calculate - each chair alone took 6 hours to make. To buy? Priceless. I don't think my family would ever forgive me although I have had offers & some of my friends think I am completely mad & wasting my time as my family did when I first started.Happy so many people enjoy it!
This is an extraordinary piece of work -- thank you so much for sharing the fruit of your Mum's skill! Everything is finished with great attention to detail, and I love the teak furniture!
This doll house is 100000000x better than the ones in stored,I might e asking to much but can you make a tortorial on how to make somethings in the doll houe
@12Dancingstar -bit too hard to give u a tutorial, however there are some great dolls house furniture making books. One i recommend is "Making Miniatures in 1/12th scale" by Venus and Martin Dodge. To make miniature food, try "Food Displays" by Sue Heaser in the Dolls House Do-It Yourself series(there are others in the series-toys and games, carpets and rugs etc.).My son bought the last book off the internet from Hong Kong.Hope this helps you and thank u so much for your comments.
@12Dancingstar Dont know if u got my message, but a few books to help u out are:Making Miniatures in 1/12th scale by Venus and martin Dodge,Food Displays by Sue Heaser which is part if a series called Dolls House Do It Yourself. My son bought this last book over the internet.Another good source of books is your local libraryTo actually make a dolls house, any book by Derek Rowbottom is worth getting.Thank you so much for your lovely comments.
Thanks u all 4 the great comments.I was hoping to do a video for Xmas,as mum has made a xmas tree, lights and presents to go in the lounge room, however she lives 3 hrs away and don't think I'll get it done in time.Maybe after Xmas??
Amazing! The detail and the proportion are accurate...you have such versatility in making the furniture, the house structure, the small things, and everything inbetween...
i think it's fantastic and your mum has serious talent
