Nice video! Love the knife, I picked one up about two weeks ago or so. You wouldn't happen to know what the dimensions on the screws that are in the pivot, handle, and clip would you? I was a little rough on my screws and they got a little stripped.

i like boker plus 12c26 on my vox gnome easy to sharpen and holds it pretty well not like my sage3 but i carry it more then the sage3 haha

so, how's the fit and finish on that whale? is it as good as, say us or janan made spidies? or maybe s made kershaws? The reason I'm asking it is because lately I can't stand knives with fit and finish issues and always regret buying stuff like that, so even though that design really appeals to me, I'd rather stay clear if it lacks in fit and finish and quality control...

Oh and the Albatros is based on Jens Testlab Outbreak model V.773-15

and the Whale is based off the Cato.( which was a recent Testlab now full model)

Very cool that Boker and Jens chose very new knives.

I just loved that Albatross so much I paused the video and went onto blade HQ site but they had none left and don't do international shipping! I live in UK so went to my usual Knife site Hennie Haynes and got one for £107 a bit more than yours but with shipping and import tax etc it would be about the same if I got it from the US. Love your videos keep up the good work! Cheers....

yeah dude that Albatros does look like a sweet little custom knife. i'm waiting on an email from bladehq for when they have more in stock. seems like a lot of people on here got theirs. i'd definitely throw down $100 for it.

I got my grandmother a VG-10 Boker kitchen knife in the past year I only had to resharpen it bout 2x to 3x and she uses it everyday. Their heat treat is amazing...Zee Germans are anal with heat treat JAAAAA

There's nothing wrong with 440C, it's pretty much equivilent to S30V. 440 A and B are a different story people think that anything 440 is junk but it's not true.

From my personal experience and what I have heard around, there is a lot wrong with it lol anyways, I am staying away from their china line!

@thelockkk This ones VG10 anyways lol, and Bokers 440c is more then fine, its comparable to older ats34 and sharpens easier, in my experience!

also min came with some side to side play, but i tightened up the pivot screw and fixed it completely. I have a feeling the pivot screw will become loose quickly.

I believe that the manufacturer of the VG-10 steel doesn't export it raw outside of the Japan so the heat threat is most likely done in japanese factory. Probably even the same one that makes Spydercos

Had pretty good luck with my boker plus's lately, ive got a albatros on the way too, my todd begg field marshal is flawless, the sniper bladeworks s2 and pocket bowies havent had a problem with either.
