  • Diagnosed at age 27... thank you for trying to enlighten people... though I see that some remain ignorant.

@Wilsodano1 I am slowly falling apart at the age of 29. My symptoms are extremely pronounced for a person at my stage of teh disease. If you can honestly believe that I would be going through this by choice or as some kind of an act you are a fool.

  • This is an ignorant question, how do people with Parkinsons sleep? It takes hours for me to get to sleep because when I doze off a leg or an arm or my neck will spasm and wake me up, but I've been told that what I have is pretty common. How do these amazing people sleep with constant muscle spasms? How do they sleep when their body refuses to relax? I hope they get a cure soon, this seems like an amazingly cruel disease.

  • @Wilsodano1 then how come I know somebody who has it

  • not a real disease

  • NEOTAME - ultra toxic residues in PPM, part per million in all your non-organic food that gives cancer, heart attack, and all types of health problems, deseases and neurological disorders of all kinds, including death. every1 in the world eats neotame, Its not even written on the ingredient list, its top secret, simply.

  • That's so sad...he said if they cure it, that in his "50s, I'll be dancing at my children's weddings". He's 50 now, and his symptoms have died down, but they still haven't found a cure. Don't give up Michael, we're all so proud of you and believe in you! <3

  • this was really good. love him

  • 7 people are Biff Tannen

  • Disney should jump in and help him! They got all the money!

  • @emnal2000 dont u mean the government they got all the money there just too selfish to help out ppl with learnin' difficulties and diseases cuz there too busy spendin' there money on wars and the "upper class" ppl

  • I think using this song "Dream on" in this context is terribly cruel.

  • Was Michael hugging Alison Moyet at 1.17?

  • don't worry Michael someone will find a cure dream on

  • A year ago my G.P told me i had what was called an essential tremor. 2 weeks ago my consultant confirmed it as parkinson's disease. I'm not angry or resentful but i would love to see a cure before my son get's older.

  • Someone find a cure now

  • IllllL To Hayve PorkaSins Dee Zzzz

  • i have parkinsons, it sucks ass. it sucks living with parkinsons and only being 5 years old. shit's fucked up.

  • Ali has made me change my mind about helping.... He was/ is the greatest a true legend, seeing what he used to be and being struck with parkinsons make me think.... It is not fair to strike him down or anyone for that matter, people need to know about this disease.

  • Love ya Michael J...

  • Maybe oneday we will see that cure. DREAM ON!!!!

  • Great great edit!

  • Michael J. Fox is my hero - seriously, he handled everything so well and he was so brave to keep figthing. I respect everything he does.

  • I love this actor and now wtf he have this disease ! Cure must be find !

  • I feel bad for him.

  • Well... they probably find a cure in his lifetime

  • Chris you did a fabulous job on this video. Mohammed was my neighbor for several years and watching the disease creep along was tough. His philanthropy work in Haiti is to create better living conditions for children, along with his friend Yank Berry, is phenomenal. Michael is also amazing in his philanthropy and his deepest compassion is expressed here. Let their call be what drives us to feel inspired and moved to the core of our beings. Its our hearts, not our heads, that breed compassion.

  • This video is so sad, but it shows his fight for the cure. He's my hero. How do I download this video? I want to use it in my psychology paper.

Don't be affraid or worried because GOD is with you every step of the way....Keep the fight alive MJF,ALI and to everyone else who is affected by this directly and indirectly(such as myself)..much love

  • Im 38 and I have Young Onset PD and find this very moving. Thanks for the video!

  • michael j fox is my ido but i feel bad that he has parkinson's

  • what is the song name this video?

  • @shecrow78 The song? You must not be in tune with music! This song is 'Dream On' by Aerosmith, one of the most legendary songs and bands ever. I would suggest watching or listening to a live version though; it is much better and the voice of Steven Tyler has evolved since this was recorded.

  • @IDSTARTAREVOLUTION2 i normaly liessen metal thats why i did know

  • @IDSTARTAREVOLUTION2 the person who commented is a 32 yr old who is not American so it's understandable that she might not know this song. (personally I find it horrid and depressing, sorry)

  • @IDSTARTAREVOLUTION2 i'm in tune with everything but aerosmith.

  • @sk8forlife90 Well, if you're being serious, you should check them out. One of the oldest bands around, they are one of the few that has managed to stay pretty relevant throughout their career. There's the 70s hits like Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion, Dream On, and Back in the Saddle. 80s hits include Dude Looks Like a Lady, Rag Doll, Love in an Elevator, and What It Takes. The 90s were big with Cryin', Crazy, Livin on the Edge, Eat the Rich, Pink, Falling In Love is Hard on the Knees.

  • @IDSTARTAREVOLUTION2 I'm an Ali fan, but I've never heard of this band or these songs. I kind of like it though. Are they still around?

  • @bangitslo WHAT???????????? where you from?

  • just wanted to point out that "Walk this way" was in the mid 80s not the 70s.

  • @sk8forlife90 2000s had Jaded, Sunshine, Fly Away From Here, Baby Please Don't Go, and Devil's Got a New Disguise. And all of these that I've mentioned are only a few of the hits. :)

  • @shecrow78 dream on, by aerosmith

  • @shecrow78 Aerosmith-Dream On

  • dream on aerosmith

  • michael we all love you!!!!!!

  • michael we alll love you!!!!!!

  • To all the people who makes fun of michael because he cant move still! People should start to wise up because this disease is very horrible, Michael is actually strong and brave for him to be able to controll himself and if you were in this situation how would you feel!

  • gosh he's driving himself crazy trying to cure this disease

  • SALAM and Hello I wish to Michael J.Fox to do a good job I believe every disease to be occur that's in my holly book sayed I wish all good luck to everyone who is suffering don't give up be strong and help scientific people to understand better how to treat the disease.

all my best be strong friends and brother every disease must occur.

  • to anyone that saying rude comments about him not being able to "stand still" get over yourselfs and have some respect! parkinson is an incurable brain disease. he is not standng still because he cant. its a site effect from the treatment he s taking. levodopa is used in parkinson disease ,the long term use leads to the development of motor complications ( involuntary movements ) thats why he cannot "stand still".

so please have some respect ..

  • what happens if he tries to stay still ?

  • I know what he is going through kind of, because i was diagnosed with parkinsons disease at the hospital just after having a stroke. I would like to know more about this because all i've heard is that it only gets worse and i am scared, not for myself so much but because of what i may put my family through. And i just found out the dr.'s want to test me for als now. is that better or worse and why all of a sudden would they want to start checking me for this now?

  • @james32347 I am no expert, but they probably checked you for Alzheimers because of your stroke. Strokes can cause just about anything to quit functioning - sometimes a finger and sometimes the brain. I had a relative who had a stroke and although physically fine after it, she could no longer weird. It is an odd medical mystery, the stroke. They just want to see how your mind is through the stroke. Again, not positive, but there is no definite test for Alz, its just kind of a symptoms thing

  • @james32347 Whatever happens, I wish you luck.

  • @james32347 Ah, you meant ALS, not Alzheimer's. Well that makes it much more simple. Both ALS and Parkinson's are degenerative diseases that affect nerve cells in the brain. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @Smilyfacepancakes Sure! Just give me credit and send me a link!

  • If anyone knows how to contact MJ, he needs to check out Dr. Perlmutter's web site. He's a board certified neurologist who probably can restore Michael's functions with IV Glutathione treatments. Check out NEW Glutathione Parkinson's - Dr. David Perlmutter, MD on youtube.

  • @Texon100 Knowing how big Fox's foundation is, he's probably already looked into it. If there was a for sure cure for Parkinson's, we would know it and I'm sure Fox would be the first to be cured.

  • @IDSTARTAREVOLUTION2

Not sure how to respond. With respect, I don't assume anything. I believe you could not help but be amazed if you had seen the Dr. Perlmutter video mentioned in my post. I don't know if its a cure, but the treatment results are impressive, if only short-term. I tried to include the link, but kept getting an error message. PubMed has over 60,000 articles on Glutathione, but its as if the subject is hidden in plain sight. Please see the video and check out Perlmutter.

  • too sad

  • We will find cure for Parkinsons.. Before this Heroic man passes away, I pray. He and thousands of others deserve to be cured. Sure there are many other diseases and life threatening problems such as AIDS, Cancer, Leukimia, And so forth. But Parkinsons strikes just as sudden, and it drives you mad till the day you die, unable to control your motor functions.. Unable to stop yourself from moving, Unable to be cured. I PRAY for a cure. You should too.

  • @TheBoochan82 I pray to, encouragment is what we all need. your nice keep up the faith like me and others.

  • @TheBoochan82 I pray to, keep up the faith just like me and many others

  • I am 18 and Michael is my hero, he truly is a fighter and i believe in the hope for the cure and know it is coming soon.dont give up Michael your a true warrior whos going to win the battle

  • aww hes speach really touched my heart, KEEP FIGHTING MICHAEL!

  • howed he stay still during back to the future

  • @mnmoneyeagle90 He hadn't been diagnosed with it yet, and it didn't get really bad or painful until about 2000, which was 10 years after the last Back to the Future was made..

  • @mnmoneyeagle90 He didnt have the disease back then.

  • Aerosmith - Dream On

  • yeah this must of bee the original due to it.....anyway back to the video i hope a cure is found

  • @charlienethercoat094 Are you kidding me? It's Dream On by Aerosmith..

  • Music = TOO LOUD!!!!!!

  • critic= your too fucked up!!!!

  • Excuse me?? I'd rather hear what they have to say instead of Aerosmith concert. Congratulations, you're the first negative person I've come across on Youtube in 4 years.

  • he is so beautiful as a person, and he is a great actor, i remember a lot of his movies, they are a nice part of my childhood

  • Poor guy. He's shaking around so much. I hope they find a cure before he dies so that he can be in another Back To The Future Movie.

  • I just hope they find a cure so he can have a normal life. o.0

  • Hello! My name is Renato. I live in Niteroi in Brazil. My mother has Parkinson's disease since December 2000 and has since learned to live with the disease. Congratulations Michael J. Fox for his work, his perseverance and his hope for a future without Parkinson. Thank you, because with work, politics, faith and family will win. Hugs to all the American brothers and sisters. Sorry for grammatical errors. 21/01/2010, 23:37h

  • Fox seems in a much better shape then the Champ. Is Muhammad Ali's worse condition due to his profession??

I wish Ali could talk as clearly as Fox, would have helped the solution and USA itself a lot, becuase when he speaks people listens. Afterall, he was arguably the most famous man on the planet.

  • im female 31 and just got diagnosed

  • @SIX000SUX - im sorry

  • what about the fight against Cerebral Palsy?

  • I hope I never get Parkinson's disease.

  • that is absolutely sick! u have no clue what sort of pain he's in! people have to live with this horrible life ruining disease and u have no clue about anything !

  • Legends

  • Poor Guy

  • MJF is a great actor. Watch "Casualties of War", he and sean penn are great in it.

  • poor guy

  • He's one my faves

  • Muhammad Ali and Michael J. Fox: Two Legends! Muhammad Ali (Heavy World Champion in Boxing, the best Boxer of all Time) Michael J. Fox (The best Teenie-Actor in the 80´s). I will never forget "The Rumble in the Jungle" and "Back to the Future". Respect for this two Mans!

  • Micheal your my hero keep up the good work

  • Google HEMP OIL

    or Parkinson CURE

    or RICK SIMPSON

    Your cure lies there.

If not CURE, then significant help and treatment.

In your hands. free. not thousands of dollars.

  • i want to interview Micheal I have so many questions

  • who was the other person? was he a boxer?

  • Yes, Muhammed Ali.

  • oh, i didn't know he has parkinson's too

  • sniffle* sniffle*

  • Me to i am very proud of him

  • wow, awesome video 1:47 2:04. MJF was my hero in Family Ties. long time no hear - i'm not american- i tracked him in gooogle then i found out he suffered from the disease. he is one of the chosen. i proud of him

  • Micheal is truly inpsiring to me. I want to let him know that. When I visit new york I wonder If i will run into him or not. its such a big city i heard.

  • Poor peapole ;(

  • Respect for Michael J Fox!

  • The ending was beautiful man. Very creative.

  • michael fox you are number 1!!!

  • Great video, the editing ensures maximum emotional payout. I recently sat next to someone with Parkinson's on a flight from New York to Oslo, and it wasn't until I actually started talking to him that I realized he was just as bright an individual as I, if not brighter. To me, Parkinson's is one of the more unfair illnesses known to man, and it is nearly unmatched in its cruelty considering the way it causes degeneration of the brain's conscious control over the body.

  • That was BEAUTIFUL. Great job.

  • Me and my Grandma liked the ending of the film because it wouldnt stop shaking at the end then it stopped its like the disease he is trying to find a cure then it will stop good way of doing the video

  • I know some day there will be cure we must have hope. Hope is my name and I always have hope in every day life each day there is something that makes me glad i am alive. I really enjoy his new book and how it has inspired me.

  • I love him, a great actor man!!

  • that was very VERY well made

  • Awh man... look at Ali 1:04 - 1:14

  • thank you!

  • He is great!!

  • He is my hero

  • bobbie is that supposed to me a threat i wasnt sure to take it as a offense or something good

  • I am glad I saw this because it is very encouraging and inspiring

  • a cure for all diseases one day

  • Spark i think you need to watch it dude. He is a Hero in many ways like trying to find a cure and not giving up he even wrote two books like Lucky Man and Always looking Up. So you know what heroes rather if there famous or not are people who want to make a difference in life. Like me I want to help find a cure to. So dont be putting him down or his fans

  • i crayd like a baby :-(.... sad very sad

  • sad story :(

rlly gd actor, loved back to the future :)

  • who uses the n64 anymore? jokes on you

  • I root for him to find a cure as fast as it possible!!! He is a real hero!!!!! (L)

  • A hero????? Lol i think you wanna open your eyes mate! He's an actor and if he didnt have parkinsons wtf do you think he would be doing now?

  • I said that because I think his attitude is very rare in this situation! He could be depressed or feel sorry for himself and complaining all day...! But no, he appreciates each day, enjoys his life as much as he can, indeed he does something to find a cure, he fights for it and not just sitting in his armchair awaiting for a miracle!!!!

that's why i think he is a hero!!!! he's a positive influence!!!! an optimistic! If people would face their problems this way it would be a better world!

  • Well i dont think hes a hero. Good bloke but not a hero!!!!! If people had the money he has i think they would be able to face they're problems. Stem cell reasearch is no way to find a cure.

  • I agree with the money part... But I'm reading his new book, Always looking up, and there are so many interesting and positive things about Stem cell research!!! i thinks there's a big chance that someday many disease will be able to cured with Stem cells! read his books and articles about it! I did that ! science is ahead of money...

  • I agree, the book is a great read. MJF is very inspirational.

  • What would you do if you learn you have a debilitating disease like PD? Sit in your couch and wait for a cure...or get out there and race for the cure? He's racing for the cure while his brain slowly runs out of fuses. That, mate, is why he's a hero.

  • We just talked about neurological diseases in class today, and MJF was featured in our Parkinson's disease discussion..

    :(

  • When was this commercial filmed?

  • No you're not. TheCollective00's point was that you SHOULD have been.

  • you have done a serious and certainly a great job making this video.

    Keep up the Good Work

    IDSTARTAREVOLUTION2

    youtube is proud of ya

  • Someday - I hope not that far in future - we will get the answer to diseases like alzheimer's and parkinson's. I'm working on stem cells and it's really impressive how much we already know. And what you can do.

A cure will be a just a question of time. Though it will be too late for M. J. Fox, I guess.

And: There's no cure for AIDS - crewdog. If you tell people things like that, they will get careless. Idiot!

  • Nicely done!!!

  • Really jimbob150555 thats a messed up comment.. he has parkinson's he cant control that... Thats the most messed up thing ever

  • sorry to say this

jimbob150555 but if ur comment was serious ur a jerk....

  • i like how he doesnt let this disease overcome him.

i did a research project on parkinson's and damn.. it was really entersting.

  • It's called life.

  • really ? its called life is it ? why is it called life ? is this what life should be like, you moron. your obviously a dickhead.

  • Right, that's why your comment has 6 buries. Also, it's YOU'RE, you stupid fucking asshole. YOU'RE, NOT YOUR! CAN'T YOU GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK FUCKING SKULL? Jesus fucking Christ, learn English, you stupid ignorant fucking retard.

  • no you moron, where i come from we talk slang. we spell you''re as your. get it ? dumb cunt. so go and learn your history properly and then comment. you uneducated filth of society.
