  • okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Fantastic ! Trio Madjesi change couple of things in Congolese Music. They used to sing and making their shows like several Disco bands in USA. It was so exceptional. I do believe that those guys were the ancestors of World Music in Congo and Africa, like Miryam Makeba, Bella Bellow, Abeti Masikin, etc.

  • the video is a 1973 artwork...there was excitement as Congo was due to make its maiden appearance at the world cup of 1974

  • why do u have 2 da crap?????man that's just fucking disrepectfull...u even made da shit worse .. asshole!!!!

  • A l'écoute de ce morceau j' entends la voie de mon defunt Papa Pierre M

  • this is great....

  • this is great!

  • awesome jam at 2:50

  • Priceless , how you do do d do do my brodder !

  • My my what a treasure. Best of the best. Anyone know how I can get hold of this music?

  • Yugoslavia had beat Zaire on World Cup 1974. with 9:0. Maybe this video explains why.

    No offense, just kidding.

  • Zaire was not only the sole flag bearer for Africa at the world cup but they also convincingly won the cup of nations in Cairo that year.

Zaire's national team coach was from Yugoslavia! Maybe that was the source of the problem in that game.since all the other three games in the group between Brazil, Scotland and Yugoslavia ended in 0-0 draws!

  • Nice comment, MamboBado2010.

  • mmmm... better now(pics/sound).photoshop cs?????.. nice job......:)..appriciate...and stay on da 1..

PS.the only band that coulda make da transition..

  • Anyone know a reliable place where I can find Trio Madjesi LP's for sale on the internet?

  • Go to porte de Namur in Brussel the is a place called Matonge, you will find MUSICANO i think ask them

  • You understand English? You like Madjesi? Alright, alright.....they have so much energy and they rocked. Am sorry comeon my darling...!! I understand Loko Masengo was stabbed and died, is it true? I heard this back in the late 1970's. Is there anyone who has information on that?

  • No,Loko Masengo is not dead,in fact he is with 'Kekele' now.

  • BUT IT USED TO BE LONGER!!?

    BULASIO

  • Just like Heminuru i was in standard 3 in Kikowani school in Mombasa, Kenya. There was Matadidi Mabele "bwana Kitoko", Saak Sakoul, Loko Masengo etc, it was a strong combination, their other hit "Photo Madjesi" was sweet. Is there anyone who knows how I can get it? Matadidi is now back in Angola and helping out young and upcoming musicians.

  • That was a wonderful performance. I wish they are all alive today.I was only ten in 1973, in primary school , standard five.

  • I was in standard three!! great memories, grew up in Tanzania, this song was common everyday in the morning..Radio Dar will play this song after Marijan song Kumekucha, i amso glad some one has taste like mine. Wbabu are all those guys died?but they didint look tha old in th e video

  • This song was done originally when they sang for Verckys and the "Veve". It was called Cherie Anna. When they broke off and formed their own group, they took the song with them-this version, which got Verckys furious.

  • You are dead right, just listen when this video reach 2'23'',djeskain made a mistake instead of LUTA he says ANNA and mario gave him a hard look. you cant notice it unless you look and listen carefuly to the video.

  • Is this group they used to say COCOLICO?? I have some old old audio cassete with there song. For the first time i've seen them, wonderful.

  • My goodness, that is truly amazing, footage of Trio Madjesi from 1973!!! I am still in shock that someone had the good instinct to record this somehow! Truly worth it's weight in gold, this one. Hazadanze is right, this is the Zaire from the 'rumble in the jungle' era,the country was at it's peak, and has sadly slid downhill since then. A true 'Belle Epoque',this was.

  • Awesome!!! Folks, that was wiiild. Which year was that? Absolutely priceless. Is there any known archive of these videos. i'll pay anything to gt my hands on a copy. Thanks for the post Bedward

  • Mario returned to angola(1976) and djeskain made his way to congo brazzaville were he founded les arummbayas in the early 80's , Mbole Tambwe(saxo) died in 1980 and Saak Saakul still alive in kinshasa.

  • Wow: Great video I had not seen - !! Who are the guitarists? Do we know the name of the solo guitarist?

  • This brought back good memory of my youth in Brazzaville, where we also danced to the rythms of Trio Madgesi, Sosoliso. Wow!!!

  • Orchestre Sosoliso was the name of the group. Trio Madjesi refered to the three lead vocalists who are bouncing the balls in the video. Somebody please help. Of the three who was Matadidi Mabele, Loko Massengo, and Saakul? This was an explosive group in the 70s. They were BIG in my country (Kenya).

  • Matadidi Mabele Bwana Kitoko (r) Loko Massengo (Djeskain) (c) Saakul (Sinatra) (l)

  • Thanks Aseyo.

  • Matadidi Mabele (Right), Loko Masengo (middle), Sak Sakul (Left)

  • MaDjeSi= Matadidi , Djeskin (Loko Masengo), Sinatra (Sak Sakul)

  • Congo na biso, mboka ya bakoko na biso, espoir ezali...

Hata banguna batiela biso mitambo partout, moyi ekoya lisusu...sûr et certain

  • I like the way lingala sounds. What is sosoliso?

  • Soso = Tchicken Liso= eye , thus: The chicken's Eye

  • Thank you very much, Homenor. I'm of the opinion that Lingala should become the ligua franca of Africa because of the popularity of music sung in that language.

  • An amazing piece, just gotten happier, someone out there pls post more of such videos

  • O my GooooD!

This was great music! Bedward thank you. Good memories...

  • Yes Sosoliso, oh my God! Zaire was pretty advanced in Africa back then, that's why they made great tv programs, but nothing moved forward since then, very sad.

  • really?? they dont have good tv stations no more?? But I think Zaire can do good w/out them anyway.

  • They are not up to date today, war has eaten so much!

  • wow thats sad

  • NANI KAMA SOSOLISO??

  • Amazing Bedward, I did not know they made videos then.
