  • falcon punch !

  • And at that moment...Foreman realized he can make a fortune selling grills!

  • I just love how everyone has to take a great fight and turn it into something its not ppl if you werent there and obviously you arent Ali or Foreman then quit talking all that bull about it was a fake, it was for money, it was a set up.....look foreman thought he had the upper hand by being younger and bigger but ali hurt his ego by dancing around foreman all night and making george look like a fool and ali had em plan and simple

  • DRUNK TANK!!!!!!

  • Drunk tank

  • drunk tank

  • Drunk Tank!!

  • the match was faked

Foreman accepted in turn of big money and the promise to be world champ back. Don King acted with the Usa government to give Alì back the title. Check the punches of Foreman, he accepted not to hurt, and Foremann refused to speak publicly about the match and still does today.

  • @videosukiasyan your a fuckin idiot and possibly a bastard child of Forman

  • what speaks by itself is the match, Foreman never hit Clay in 8 rounds, just played the part beating the stomach, but if had only punched the stomach with one of the shot gave to the sack........

Facked match, sorry for you, but I felt bad too, but professional sports are a shit, it is only about money

  • @videosukiasyan Foremen has talked about it all the time, what the hell are you talking about?

  • does anyone know the rhyme ali made. like he starts off with round 1 etc..n goes up..if im mistaken i think maybe someone else made it

  • It's hard, looking back, to remember what an absolute friggin' NIGHTMARE that Joe Frasier was as he and Ali prepared for that fight. He was perfectly conditioned and throwing some of the hardest punches in the history of boxing, one after the other. The only man on earth who could have beaten Frasier in his prime was Ali in his prime. Frasier was a one-man weapon of mass destruction. Unfortunately for him, however, Ali was The Greatest.

  • i wonder how muhammed would fair against the giant russian, if they were prime at the same time...... could you imagine if the russian was as ripped as Rapage jackson, instead those half muscle half fat power fibrous hes got going on, i reckon hed destroy...

  • Ali would absolutely destroy Valuev

  • of course he would destroy valuev! if david haye can beat valuev then ali can definately beat him :D

  • @djdan151 any bantam weight champion boxer would destroy any of those guys.

  • ali was smarter, faster and a psychologicalwar-fighter. Ali far better.

  • Your right. Ali could always read his opponent, figure his opponent out, and then strategize better than anyone. He also ducked and dodged power punches to the head better than anyone.

  • THE GREATES!!!!!!!

  • ALI UMBA AY

  • no BUMA YE

  • ali just walloped foreman. who's the man ? ali is the man.

  • why was ali doing this thing with his feet? the ''dancing'?

  • because that was his style of fighting thats the way he fought.

  • yeah ok but how does this help him?

  • cause thats his foot speed which as you can see is clearly amazing. foot speed is very important

  • it shows his footwork..because footwork is important in boxing..it makes you move faster and better positioning for your punches..

  • he best boxer but i don't thnik there such thing as best sportsman ever cos too many types of sports and there completele diffrent but he is a legend!

  • muhammed ali was the greatest boxer and sportsman of all time!!

  • definately, this is one of the most epic moments in sports entertainment lol

  • You know, Foreman was probably thinking, All I gotta do is stay on my feet and keep throwing punches even if most of them miss or don't get through, and if I do that til the final bell, I've got half-a-chance of taking the decision. That's probably what he was thinking. And then, suddenly ......

  • What's that he's saying about a phantom punch? Could he please say it 9 or 10 more times?

  • The greatest 'African-American' of all time.

    Without a doubt.

It was maybe a bit harsh of him to call all White people devils, though.

  • he has said that he longer beleives that all white poeple are bad people

  • it was because of his cockyness to white people that he got noticed so much i think... cud be wrong

  • Ali was a follower of the nation of Islam when he made that comment about white people but then he followed orthodox islam and then no longer believed that white people were devils.

  • ali was not racist people, he was a great sportsman who will be remembered for all times. He hated those who made racism, otherwise he was just a wodnerful boxer who entertained the world..

  • Same thing basically that happened with Malcolm X. Once both men realized that true Islam embraced people of all colors, they could no longer hold the separation of races in their hearts. Ali, after initially converting to Sunni, became a Sufi, and for Sufis, hatred is impossible.

  • what i thought was amazing, Joe Frazier KO'ed Ali, and Foreman Ko'ed Frazier...

  • rorrt,

Don't forget Norton! Foreman DESTROYED BOTH Ken Norton and Joe Frazier in two rounds, before this fight. Both these men had beaten Ali. And Frazier was dropped six times before Arthur Mercante finally came to his senses. So naturally Foreman was supposed to EASILY destroy Ali.

I'm a conspiracist here, and believe the ropes were puposely loosened and Ali (as with most of his fights) got away with WAY too much holding.

    Foreman would've won a rematch.

  • There was no rematch because foreman realized he had met his match in Ali. He retired until Ali was so far out of the picture a rematch wasn't possible. Ali won this fight because he was a better fighter with more spirit than any boxer ever. simply put he was "the greatest" and when I met Ali I told him so and put a smile on his face. He saw the respect in my eyes and I guarantee it gave him a good feeling.

  • 3dog9ty - I respectfully disagree with you saying that Foreman left the scene until a rematch with Ali wasn't possible. He fought again less than 15 months after the Rumble (Jan 76) and managed to fight 3 more times in '76 - destroying Frazier again in the process.

Foreman was highly distraught after the Rumble, no doubt. But unlike he did with Frazier, Ali never seriously mentioned fighting Foreman again - and his actions prove it.

  • How do you figure Foreman to beat Ali during that period when Foreman got knocked down and decisioned by the light-hitting Jimmy Young in early 1977? And why did you omit that fact?

  • What difference does it make how many more times Foreman destroyed Frazier? Frazier was no longer the champion. Foreman retired after his March 1977 decision loss to Jimmy Young, a guy not known as a knockout puncher but who still put George on the canvas. Was Foreman ready for another crack at Ali at that point? Is that how you get a title shot? By losing to an underdog?

  • just because foreman beat frazier and norton doesnt mean shit ali wanted it more.. everyone told him he couldnt beat foreman and he had it in his mind that he wasnt goin to lose. and the whole rope thing you just commented on makes you look ignorant

  • I don't think it's more about wanting it more than the fact that fighting styles tend to determine the winner of a fight.

As always Ali got inside Foreman's head with the psychology, and beat him mentally - then physically.

Call me ignorant if you want - that's fine. But I say, in MY opinion, Ali would have NEVER won a rematch. Foreman wouldn't have fallen for his "tricks" again.

  • Well, history continues to tell us that Ali and Foreman fought just one time, the result being that Foreman went down hard, seemingly beat the count, but then walked back to his corner without a single word of protest over the referee's stopping the fight. And the way Foreman went down so slowly, Ali could have hit him 4-5 more times but held back, showing Foreman more mercy than Foreman showed other opponents whom he didn't hesitate to hit again as they fell or were out on their feet.

  • imo the reason he didnt hit him is ecause he knew what a huge moment in history that was and pulled bak at last minute

  • @cainey66 no..he stopped because he knew that george was already finished after his last hit..

In fact, many years later, george foreman himself said that this punch that ali never delivered shows why he is really the greatest champion of all the time:ali was too noble to hit an adversary without necessity.

  • @Saturnwalker thats what i said he knew he was finished so why ruin the moment

  • @tylersfs Rs..Foreman himself said that he was changed forever after that loss...he got a bit shaken and the idea of facing ali again certainly wasn't easy for him...this fact certainly shows the power that ali was capable to exert on his opponents, destroying their self-confidence and making them feel inferior to him.

  • Foreman may have won a rematch, but he didn't try very hard to get one. And as far as the conspiracy, you forgot to mention the fast count that Foreman claimed he got.

  • If he hadnt becomed a preacher that is. The man was broken. Two great boxers. Foremans left is extreme, Alis fighterspirit aswell

  • He would in his arse.

  • u talk shit
