Looks like screenlets which can be diffrent things. This one happens to look like cpu usage and mem usage. It also prob has swap and temps on it to. Very easy install and then pick what you want and config.

I am running similar effects on one P4 2.2Ghz, 1 Gb ram and integrated video.. works great :). But that computer is at work...
