  • @t3hsniper you can remove it :L trees a Chrono pack which replaces the ugly shit with a fuel, oil and oil pressure gauges (I think) and the speedo and rev meter are behind the wheel (:

  • Just as an update, you can use a bent "icepick" to remove the panels instead of a screwdriver covered with tape. It makes it very easy to pop the panels off! I've also been told that on 2010+ models there are an additional two screws you have to look out for!

  • @MrWonChong awesome thanks

  • Do you have to remove the rpm meter to remove the dash panel behind the steering wheel? please answer:)

  • @valon212 You do. There isn't enough room behind the tachometer to pull the back panel off.

  • thanks for the video but another video bout putting all in would be helpful it's been two years since this video though

  • Had to do some interior disassembly, these two videos were helpful. Sorry about the circumstances, but I really appreciate the video; saved me from several mistakes.

  • I would love to get a mini, but I don't think I'd ever get over that hideous speedometer.

  • @t3hsniper Totally agree. I wonder if there are any companies that make an aftermarket cd player/gps/whatever to replace that thing.

  • cheers for the insight got to do 1 so very handy too know daz

  • Hi there, need some diy help with regards to replacing the stock Mini R56 stock radio. Would you mind give me some advise? I heard that the stock unit cannot be removed in order as it is integrated with the speedo and some other controls? Did you remove urs? If yes please advice how you managed to do it. Would appreciate if you can email me some advice. dwellit@gmail.com , thanks!

  • sorry to hear about your ride

  • excellent thanks really helpful

  • Nope, I figured most of this out on my own. I figured that not very many people knew how to do this properly, so that's why I made the video.

Oh and also, these instructions apply to R56 MINIs, so any 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010+ model.

  • Ya i agree thanks! Do you work at a mini dealer?

  • Thanks for this video, very helpful!!
