sure if you cut out the hood ledges and go the ford suspension, like the 13B dudes do. i'm going to use a VG33 sb with 02P heads (from the early VG30T), billet cams (i bought a bunch at the npti auction years ago) and a good ol holley 2300 2-bbl carburetor over a high-rise adapter and V65 intake. keep it simple. the hard part is building the shorty 71C trans (i refuse to move the shifter farther back). gonna cost a fortune and if i wanna go faster later i can 'turblow' that holley. fun stuff!

I want a 510 front end on my '71 pl521 pickup. It's got a mild-cammed L16 in it, advanced 3 degrees, idles at 900 rpm, quiet when I want and nice and throaty when I get into the 5,000+ rpm range. 4-speed for now, but looking for the dogleg for under 250. I know I can find one.

@reverseperstalsis The money you would spend putting a FWD drivrtrain in a RWD car you could spend on a big fucking Nismo engine. As us Datsun guys say, keep it simple, keep it Nissan.

That is a RWD engine and the swap isn't all that difficult. Plus the weight difference is close to the stock L-series engine and at 200 WHP its a good swap choice.
