This is a really good MP3 player. The controls and uploading are very easy to learn. Works well with media player. Have several brands of players this one and my Phillips 8G were the easiest to learn to operate. Price wise the Sony is pricier however battery life is longer and volume is louder. Steer clear of COBY and GPX control on those brands is at best difficult and they don't always do what you want them to do.

well it probably is 4gb, but if you plug it in youll see that it probably already has some shit preloaded, like some backup driver file, which your really only need if it crashes so i just take it and save it on my pc then get rid of it. that way you get the full 4 gb.

The reason why the extender for the headphones is included is for those who want to keep the Walkman around their chests by hanging it with a neckstrap or putting it in a pocket of their shirts/jackets.

I actually perfer keeping my Walkman in that way instead of putting it in my pants pocket or in a bag.

And when you do that, it's actually better to have a shorter cord for the headphones.

My BIG concern with all these new Sony players is the fact the battery is integral, and batteries have a limited life, even the best quality ones. So when the battery dies your expensive players becomes waste bin fodder.

they dont "average" the memory, the firmware on the mp3 takes up about half a gb, so it has a 4gb flash card in there.

I have a questions. Everything looks great and i dont care so much about the video but was wondering. When you rewind or fast forward a song can you hear it playing so that you know where ur rewinding/fast forwarding to? This is a huge deal for me cause I bought an mp3 player that couldnt and I threw it in the trash. It has to have that on there if im gonna buy it.

you have to have an ipod converter. or a converter of some kind. the player dosent support any video file except mp4. same with all mp3 players and ipods you have to convert it. and you can get videos from youtube but im pretty sure it ilegal. but if you want to just look up downloading youtube videos on youtube for a video on how to do it.

okay. some people have asked how to put video on here. you have to find a vidoe to ipod converter and then convert the video you want to mp4 then you go just drag and drop the mp4 file into the videos section.

well... its really complicated. you got to get a video. you can download videos from youtube but im not sure if its legal. then you convert it to an mp4 format and put it on like a song.

yea you need a video converter to convert to mp4. you can get youtube videos by copying the link and going to keepvid and then pasting and download. then convert. then drag and drop into the video section.

yea when you plug it in a screen says what do you want to do. you just click the windows button on the page, the button says sync or jsut open windows media player and hit the last button on the right that says sync. then drag and drop on to the side bar and then click sync at the botton and it takes a couple seconds a song. usualy like 1 minute for like 10 songs. not long

well i dont have a nano but my friend does. this dosent scratch all over the back like ipods. the only thing i think is better with ipods is its easyer to get videos and more accesories to buy. its hard to find a case for this but i thinks its better than the nano i used that my friend has.
