I drove my sisters fit sport with nav a few days ago and am amazed at how livly and peppy it is. Fun car to drive, only thing wrong with it was that it was a automatic.
I've been looking at my first major car purchase for a bit. I live in an urban area so size is an issue. I'm a huge fan of sporty-feeling cars too (my only other car has been a Mitsubishi Eclipse), and I never even considered/looked at a Fit (I was set on a Civic coupe). I absolutely love the easy fold down seats. Thanks for the great review!
I really liked this car until I went to a Fit website where fans and owners wrote a thread about things they didn't like about it. It was enough for me to loose interest in getting one. Here are a few things they didn't like: The carpet is garbage, no oil gauge, motor too weak, paint chips way too easily, crummy stereo, front seats have little lumbar support and don't adjust, too much road noise, body dents too easily, less than stellar gas milage, petals in awkward position, costs too much, ..
I know this is a little off topic but for anyone who has ever been looking for a car to have sex in - this is it! My boyfriend has this car and every time we want to have a quickie we flatten the rear-seats down (as show at 00:40) and its pretty roomy. We are both average size and fit comfy either him on top of me, I on top of him or doggy style. Just put the sun visor, tint the windows and you'll save a lot of money on motel rooms. I hope my friends don't find this post and know who I am =)
@LTF85199 I got a M/T and I have 1000 miles on it for 35.5 mpg cumulative - and that's with plenty of stop and go city traffic mixed in with some highway. Way roomier and nicer than a Corolla too.
anyone notice how close he sits to the wheel? LOL., why do people do that....its soooo stupid. Its usually women........this guy does seem to swing that way though...so maybe my theory still holds water.
the fit is often referred to as an "urban" vehicle. If I commute 60 miles on the highway each day, will the Fit handle it? Can they cruise at 75 on a windy highway?
Wait for a windy day, then go to a Honda dealer and take one on a test drive on the freeway.
The aerodynamic center of pressure is far behind the center of gravity, and the side-to-roof edges are nicely rounded. It should handle fine in cross winds.
@movitmovit thanks, I finally went out and got one...2009 manual with nav. It is the best all-around vehicle I have ever owned. It does everything well.
@soupsdone i like mine too. the front seats and console are nothing special but the rear seats and back area are the best in class for sure! being able to fold the back seats up is a great feature. also, steering and handling are fun.
This guy commits a major no-no. If you are going to review a car, use common sense safety. Don't take both hands off the wheel every few seconds while talking into the camera. Not smart.

@Nestlewow the MT is really fun! You should get one - great sound from a 4 banger when you wind it out.

27mpg is pretty bad for a tiny car.. and they want 16k+ for it , I could get a 33mpg corolla for that money

@edyken77 where did you come up with the 0.5 in 35.5?
LTF85199 1 year ago
@LTF85199 The odometer has a live mpg average. And that's where it's at right now after 1000 miles.
