  • AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE!

  • @Jordon590 Oi Oi Oi

  • whenever you leave and come back the feeling of walking back through Brisbane airport into Queensland is unreal

  • I live in Australia for 30 years. I was born in Odessa, Ukraine, where I lived for 30 years, but I find happiness only in this wonderful country. I love Sydney, love Australia more then life. Thank you, Peter Allen, God bless you, and all Australians!

  • Do aborigines travel by air?

  • @volunteerz Yes. And boy are there some good stories that could be told about that.

  • @volunteerz

    they grow wings and fly

  • Damn Dingos ate ma babies!!!!

  • the footage of the QF 747 was awesome, what airport was this at?.....nothing beats this fantastic song though!!!

  • @scouseflyer the plain 747 taking off first is the avalon Airshow which will be on in march.....always great day

  • no matter where i've been, no matter where i go, no matter where i am, i still call this great land home

  • I fucking love this great country, god bless.

  • great video IM AUSSIE BTW AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing, people being so patriotic on YouTube but Aussies still rubbish the place and we let upstarts who come here to visit or stay do it too.

While it is a wonderful thing to feel proud to be an Aussie, how about going the next klm, STAND up for the place and OUR way of life.

  • @Dragon60years

For one thing, most of it wasn't 'australia' as such. England was SENDING them over.

England sent over the children from the 'overrflowing' childrens homes etc. They were told on the ships that they were all orphans, which was false in most cases.

Besides, Australia was pretty much made by England!

I've lived in Australia all my life and never seen anything.

I know it does happen, but not much in Adelaide, we are a small city!

    LOVE ADELAIDE! LOVE AUSTRALIA!

    Demi

  • @Missydizzychick1 Yeah, Australia was a population of England's thieves, rapists and other criminals :D

  • @ARandomCanadian Well not fully true, remember that any little crime got u prison including stealing a loaf of bread to feed your family and the convicts didnt sail themselves here, they had Governors, soldiers, marines, scientists, laborers and sailors with them as well so we arnt all descended from crime at all:P

  • @ARandomCanadian Your got to be kidding me mate, rapists and hardened criminals where all hanged in those days we had people who would steal bread to feed there families. Australians are hard working and strong hearten, they would help you out even if they did not know you. It is the Aussie way... With that view maybe best not to come and visit. NO VACANCIES Most successful multi cultural society in the world. My family was part of the first settlers. even so not bad for a bunch of criminals

  • The only version on You Tube featuring Peter Allen singing this song that he composed

  • The only version of this song by Peter Allen performed by Peter Allen on You Tube

  • Yes we did go to rio .Look it up .. RITHSV have a look..

  • At last I find the Peter Allen version of this song!! Seems to be so many inferior versions....

  • rome!!! not Rio

  • Both, actually. The original Peter Allen lyrics had "Rio" while the Qantas rendition had "Rome" since they didn't fly to Rio.

  • Nut they don't fly to New York either.....the only 2 cities they fly to in the US are Los Angeles and San Fransisco

  • @StevenAtLiberty they do fly to NYC but its via LAX. They run out of terminal 8 at JFK.

  • NOOOO. This is original. Rio not Rome!!!!

  • its rome ROME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aww this almost makes me cry :)

I'm so happy and proud to be Aussie

We are definitely one of the luckiest countries of the world

  • I love this song!

  • I've been to cities that never close down,

From New York to Rio and old London town,

But no matter how far or how wide I roam,

    I still call Australia home.

    I'm always trav'lin',

    I love being free,

And so I keep leaving the sun and the sea,

But my heart lies waiting — over the foam.

    I still call Australia home.

  • All the sons and daughters spinning around the world away from their families and friends but as the world gets older and colder its good to know where your journey end someday we'll all be together once more when all of the ships come back to the shore I realise something I've always known I still call Adelaide home But no matter how far or wide I go I still call Australia (3 times) Home... But no matter how far or wide I go I still call Australia (3 times) Home...
  • the spirit of Australia
