It IS in the bible that God gave a birth announcement of his Son being born via Angels told the Shepherds. What is wrong with acknowledging that Jesus came to Tabernacle with Us? I don't condone the decorated Tree 0r Santa though!
I don't understand how Christ in Christmas is wrong, minus the trees & fake Santa Claus, if the focus is all about Emmanuel coming to tabernacle with us, how can it be wrong? I'm against it being commercialized to incite greed as a way for merchants - corporations to get people to buy material things. They do it to help the economy.
The miracle of Angels announcing the birth of Jesus was awe-striking. So God must have really wanted his Son's birth acknowledged!
CHRIST-mas tree isn't pagan :) The tree with candles may be wrong if it is the most important thing during Christmas. Wow, many of these things I never knew. But there is one idea that I agree with christmas and it is the phrase "It's better to give than to receive" and to me this was interesting and feels like something that Jesus would say. Jesus came to this world to serve and not to be served. Thats the only thing that i agree with.
I understand and accept all of this but my family celebrates christmas and it's all materialism with them. They don't care about Jesus and God. They only care about gifts, decorations, christmas cards. I hate it . I wish they would stop and look around for a second. But I live in my parents house so I must obey them. What can I do?
Thanks for your comment. I understand exactly what you mean. Many people are like your parents. The best advice I can give you is to respect and obey them as long as it does not interfere with God. At the same time try and explain things to them when the chance comes up. Pray for them to change also. It will really help. If they do not change then pray that the situation be as bearable as possible for you while you live with them and for the strength to keep doing what is right.

They wanted me to celebrate Christmas with them, I was hurt, and I immediately went in my room, got down on my knees, left up eyes up to heaven and asked God to deliver me, I asked him to help me move into my house before my family tempt me to celebrate Christmas with them. He answered my prayers 2 weeks later, a day before Christmas day I was finally in my new home
