1) Go to any Jarl Longhouse or Dragons reach in white run.. Have to be inside the house.

2) Enter sneak mode facing a corner.

3) Take some tape and tape your controller so you are sneak walking into the corner.

4) Set this up and go to sleep, wake up and you should be maxxed out.

Very good way. close to white run there is a cave with a blind dude. just sneak against the wall, keep moving by taping ur move button forward :) sneak to 100 in no-time!

I found an easier way:

1.Go to High Hrothgar

2.Sneak behind one of the Greybeards.

3.Use a low damage dagger and hit him.

4.Repeat from step 3.

A way to level faster is to use your sneaking spell (the name of which i forgot.) but its an illusion spell and it makes your steps more quite, use the spell while sneaking to level illusion and sneaking at the same time but level sneaking faster then normal..

@24kgoldring You can only do it with characters that cannot die like the pickpocket trainer that lives outside the castle in Windhelm is a good one. Also if you choose stormcloak at the beginning of the game you can sneak atack him to lvl up your sneak to 100 at the beginning of the game. All you need to do is grab the helgen gate keyt hen repeatedly sneak attack Ralof. Im not sure about this but it seems that u can only sneak attack every 6-8 seconds or so.

@24kgoldring Also to speed it up you can sneak attack him every 6-8 seconds until he goes down, then sneak attack him as he is getting up and it won't deal damage but it will still register as a sneak attack. Make sure not to touch him though otherwise it will not work. Hope that helps. :P

@nzjackass1 even quicker way: when you start the game go with ralof {stormcloak} and when you kill the first two imperials take one of the iron dagger that they have and make sure you get the key before ralof does so he cant open the door. now dont open the door. sneak up on ralof and just keep hitting him hell never go aggressive i did this and i got 100 sneak in a matter of minutes :]

Or you can just activate the thief stone and use dual daggers. use the both hand attack and you get 2 levels in sneak per kill. You can easily have 50+ sneak even way before you reach lvl 10 character so you don't really need tricks to level sneak up.

Easier and funner way, activate the thief stone, sneak and kill any sleeping dragur's anywhere. You level up each kill you do undetected which isn't hard at all especially in the beginning of the game. I did the bleak falls quest to retrieve the golden claw and I leveled up my sneak from 20 to 42 in less than 15 mins.

it's easier to sneak attack the monks in high hrothgar btw, and faster, they regenerate fast and don't fight back, unless you almost kill them. took me 30 minutes to get from lvl 30 to 100

make sure you have the first sneak skill unlocked by leveling up. then go to the grey beards and sneak behind them and attack them with a dagger, make sure youre hidden, it takes a while for them to die unless you already have high sneak so it lvls up sneak about 1 lvl per 2-3 hits

i got the idea from this vid but what i did was grab my plug in controller for xbox 360 and rapped the cord around the left analog just bearly to get him to walk into the wall. that way your not sitting there all day just to get sneak up

Another good way is to enchant some boots with the Muffle enchantment or use nightinggale boots and then go into a cave with some falmer in it. The falmer are blind so you don't have to have a high sneak level to go unnoticed.
