I went to Disney World with my school, Hillcrest High School (SC), and I have to say that EPCOT is my favorite park.

MGM studios was great, but it was way to actiony for me. I can enjoy lots of rides at EPCOT, then lay back in the UK, or France, or China...

Even though the trip was way back in January, I still want to go back. Badly.

The Spaceship Earth update is a horror show. It's not that bad on the way up to the top but a complete and utter disaster on the way down. First of all, you don't put a bright shiny screen on a dark ride. The great music is gone, gone, gone. Seems to be a bit PC also.

All they needed to do was fix the track, the audio and get rid of those ridiculous TV screens on the way up.

I went to Disney for a school band trip and I must say that Epcot was my favorite park out of the four I went to.

My wife and I had annual passes for Disney and spent most of our time at Epcot. Always something neat going on. We usually ate at the German pavilion. Loved the Chinese acrobats. We moved to Utah 5 years ago and sure miss going to Disney World.

This vacation planning DVD is by far the best. And yes, the wand is gone & Spaceship Earth is being changed. Jeremy Irons' narration will no longer be. Dame Judy Dench will be doing it. Parts of the ride will differ & the exit area is different too.

Spaceship Earth will remain. They're taking down the wand right now & updating some of the scenes & narration on the ride. But Spaceship Earth ain't going anywhere.

Just got back from Epcot last week and Living seas is no more - They changed it to the Finding Nemo ride. Plus they are about to close the "dome" ride because they are going to redo the ride. So I got to see it as is for my first and last time. It won't open for another 2 years once it's completed.

I bet they will do something cheap and sponsorable like putting everyone on a moving cart and just dragging them through a series of flat screen TV of videos of the past, present and future. Thats gonna be the new Epcot, cheaper and better. Or just simply cheaper. Walt say these theme parks reflects the progress of the hosting country. MAybe he was right, except its no progress, its deterioration.

Well they didn't film the shots of the host pre-2000, so obviously they set the camera up at an angle (near the entrance) where the wand wasn't showing. Such angles do exist, thankfully. What is more interesting is why they chose to include so many shots of Spaceship Earth "naked", including all the ones in which the host is right in front of it...
