finally richie and ralph come back great episode, they should have stayed for this season , great to see the fonz and richie again, best when fonzie says my boys are back !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish that Ron would have shaved off his moustache and kept his original look as Richie, that would have been EXACTLY like old times if Ron had shaved off his moustache. :)
I wish that Ron Howard and Donny Most would have come back permanently for the last season of Happy Days, and in the opening credits, it would have gone back to Starring Ron Howard, Henry Winler, etc. :)
I cant believe Ron Howard wore a wig in this episode, Part 2, the final episode, season 6 and 7, maybe season 5, man he was getting bald like around Season 5 if anyone notice it.
the way ritchie and his mom hugg is the way my mother hugged me when i got back from the service i cry every time i see it , good mothers are rare but when you have one its the most special love ever
Does anyone remember that one episode where Ralph was determined to join the Marines, and he mentioned that he wouldn't have to worry about girls - and that, once he got out of the marines, Joanie would be grown? That's what I thought of when he saw Joanie in this episode. xP
I know over time people change their minds on what they want in life as far as a job...but it wasn't supriseing they had Richie want to be a Director since Ron Howard was (and still is) a Director at the time.
Actually, by the time that this episode took place, the show was already in the mid-sixties. The episodes that took place in the fifties were made in the seventies.
I wish that Ron would have shaved off his moustache, so he would look more like Richie, I wasn't crazy about the moustache that he had when he and Donny Most came back to the show.
@lonechief That's because one character (no matter how popular that character is) can carry an entire ensemble show!!! The same (or similar scenario) happened with "Good Times" after John Amos was fired, and Esther Rolle left the show after season 4.
This was just like old times when Richie, Ralph, and Lori Beth returned home, but it's a shame that Richie and Ralph didn't stay on the show until the end, but I'm sure if Ron had stayed on, in the show's opening, it would have said Starring Ron Howard, like it used to be.
After the intro, for about 3 minutes, there was nothing but applause for the return of Lynda Goidfriend as Lori Beth, Don Most as Ralph, and Ron Howard as Richie.
@Smartboy8877 Judy Winslow was a character on a show called Family Matters. She was played by Jamie Foxworth, and she was the youngest of the three children of Carl and Harriet Winslow (a black family). But Judy was only in the first season of Family Matters, and then was written out of it just as Chuck was written out of Happy Days.
@NancyHey People think it was because the character of Steve Urkel was added to Family Matters, he was hilarious, and became the star of the show, and the show focused on his budding romance with the middle child, Laura Winslow. The writers didn't think Laura needed a little sister anymore
@DarthSideous63 That's what we ALL want to know, but producers wrote him out after 1975 so this it only Richie, Joanie, Marion, & Howard. The Fonz was always like a big brother the boys so there was no room for Chuck.
was this the first time we see richie son

Funny, is spite of the fact that he's much older and now has a mustache, Richie looks more like Opie in this episode than he ever did in early ones.

At 3:47 Marion says our whole family is back together again. Then where's Chuck?

@DarthSideous63
This is where the term Chuck Cunningham Syndrome comes from! Some people have speculated that he is living with Ed Kinisky in Tiger Brady's doghouse!
