In the making-of/memories movie Demy's wife made, they say a complete english version was shot at the same time than the original french, with songs in english.

Does soemone know if that version is available somewhere on DVD ?

First time I watched this film, I've completely been captivated by Demy's sense of colour, stage effcts, beauty of Deneuve and Deleac sisters, LeGrand's music, superb dances,etc.

This flm always reminds me of joie de vivre.

Personally, I love this film. It's not perfect, and I'm no film critic, but it's not hard to enjoy it if you let it.

Good songs, and some splendid music - plus Gene Kelly, too.

Lovely to see and remember the lovely Francoise Dorleac before her untimely death.

I'm not sure how representative these clips are of the film itself, but there are way too many close-ups, especially in the first two minutes. That's bad for any film and worse for a musical shot in Scope.

You need to see their feet!
