  • Best episode by far, Eric is really a good guy.

  • ahhh tears welled up when eric was talking to God...

  • I have been watching this show since I was 8 years old, I never really knew the meanings behind the life lessons in this show, I just knew that I really liked it. I would stay up until 12 am, just so I could watch the late night episodes on the Disney Channel. I am now 16 and I really feel like this show is my childhood. It has taught me so much.

  • I already loved him..but after this episode, I fell completely IN love with Eric Matthews! Not the brightest guy, but he has the biggest heart :) <3

  • I maybe sort of cried watching this when eric prayed and then brought tommy home!

  • One thing I noticed about the final scene when Mr. Feeny was reading A Christmas Carol:

It's the same scene as the previous season's Christmas episode, but there's a HUGE contrast. In the previous season, everyone fell asleep, and the music was different. Here, everyone's listening, and the music is so somber and mellow.

  • Wow. I want eric 10x more now.... i know, i know..he's fictional.

  • Something about how he's such a comedian for most of the show makes these sweet moments mean so much more.

  • I love the way Eric talks to God.

  • aww, Eric's gonna make an awesome daddy. He's sooo sweet!

  • so uh, what kid did they give the breast pump to?

  • Will Friedle is the man! I wish he did more these days besides voice work..

  • I love Eric!! He might not be the smartest but he sure does have a heart of gold.

  • aw i almost cried! <3 i looove eric's character

  • shows now would NEVER have one of the characters talk to God. the 90s shows were the best and always will be.

  • @anistonlover08 I dont know what shows you watch but characters talk to god all the time

  • @anistonlover08 Actually one of the newer shows on Disney did, but the way they did it was - I don't know. To me it just seem to fake, but the way they did it here was real, something that these shows today are missing.

  • This episode shows how good of an actor Will Friedle really is. Why is he in nothing now and Russel Brand is in everything?

  • goodness eric has such a big heart. brings tears to my eyes.

  • I felt like crying when Eric brought the little boy home :) such a cute show.

  • THE MOST UNDERATED SHOW OF ALL TIME!!!!

  • Eric is such a good person...i want a guy like that :(

  • well thats a horrible story 2 read at christmas

  • @CaramelPrincess88 lol but it's A Christmas Carol

  • @CaramelPrincess88 thats a christmas carol

  • haha at the end i was expecting to see them asleep like in "A Very Christmas Topanga" but they werent D:

  • instead of trying to bring people down about it. One of these days people are going to go to God for help and he's here for that and he is real but that's up to anyone to want to believe in him or not because he gave us that choice in life :3

  • @NinjaBlackTiger How do you know hes real? Infact, god probably likes it better when people didn't know about him. It meant they really did have free will, instead of just hearing orders from him and following him. Infact the bible is completetly against what he probably wants.

  • @corruptstar1 Because I've seen his work/miracles I've seen people walking that couldn't walk before cause of a medical problem and they went to church and was prayed for and the next thing you know it they was walking and its very true. When you go outside and see the wonderful sunrise or sunset or anything with nature world couldn't create itself that be impossible and no one can prove that on how the world was here. And why would God not want anyone to hear about him?..

  • Christmas Is about showing love and support for others its about being with the love ones and most importantly its about Jesus Christ that's the reason why they would put god in "Christmas shows" if not they'll replace him by putting in Santa Clause.. Thing is people are going to get offend NO matter what or who they are but their going to have to deal with that but be respectful for others because being upset/offended over a show for putting God in a scene is for your ownself to talk about

  • I agree with Jexpel, thing is Christmas was giving to us because its a wonderful Holiday I mean Not everyone is going to agree to it and yet! Those who don't celebrate Christmas get offended when the word "Christmas" is in shows and such and yet they don't care about offending God and/or people who celebrate Christmas and Jesus is the one true reason why we have Christmas now they call Christmas Xmas or just say Happy Holidays just cause they don't want to offend anyone Christmas

  • I want a Christmas Carol! We never read them :(

  • People being so offended by one character saying a prayer on the eve of a religious holiday is the reason kids shows have been overrun with meaningless crap. Everyone is so worried about being PC they won't put anything with substance on TV- the shows I grew up on, they talked about sex and drugs and religion and death and REAL THINGS. Now the things we face in the real world are taboo.

  • 2:10 - 3:25 is such a good moment<3 i really wish you still saw stuff like this on tv these days..

  • I just watched the First season's Christmas episode and its entitled "Santa's Little Helper. and this one is called "Santa's little Helpers". The plot in both episodes are similar too. In the first seasons christmas

  • episode, Shawn's dad got laid off and Cory was treating me like charity. In this episode, Eric meets an underprivileged boy and Eric gives him the best christmas. Now, In the first season's christmas episode, In the beginning Mr. Feeny reads "The Christmas Carol". In this episode Feeny reads it in the very end.

  • 2:10 - 3:25 is probably one of my favorite parts of all Boy Meets World episodes!

  • I love Shawn ;)

He is the best person :)

  • this is like the best show ever! l love this show!

  • Another not so good Christmas for Shawn. This time it's over something he specializes in, which would be boy/girl bonding.

  • this show is officially AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • 2 dislikes?! ::vomit::

  • @monie802 Keep in mind what taylorlaunter says in the above comment, it has many life lessons. Yes, it was necessary because it connects the show with real life. Also keep in mind that this particular episode was a Christmas episode and Christ is the reason for the season, hence it being in the name of the holiday. Merry Christmas.

  • i don't really celebrate christmas, its completely over commercialized and, again, i'm not religious, therefore i don't want to be apart of a religious celebration and any of its connotations. secondly, how does it connect the show with real life exactly? if you mean that he's talking to "god" only because he's in need, like most people do, for a false sense of meaning or security, then yea i guess i could see that. but it was a moment in the show that was really unneeded.

  • i love this episode of boy meets world, it's so sweet.

but was eric's conversation with "god" really necessary. there are a few times in BMW where they talk to "god", like when turner gets into the accident, and every time they do it it makes the scene awkward. i mean i know a lot of people are religious and may relate, but for the non religious viewer (like me) it just makes it very uncomfortable. and it reminds me that i'm watching a show instead of being completely immersed in it.

  • @monie802 yeah it was necessary.

  • @theaterjunkie89 and i disagree.

  • @monie802 I don't think that someone talking to God should "disconnect" you from a show. You said yourself that a lot of people are religious. Does it make you feel disconnected from life when you witness or hear about someone praying or practicing their belief? If it really makes you feel that awkward or uncomfortable, thats a personal issue, not one with the show.

  • i don't pay attention to people who decide to place their lives in the hands of a false being. however if people around me chose to do so and i find myself in a position where i'm in a room with someone who is praying, then i simply remove myself from the situation. i don't argue with people about their beliefs, because people will not have a rational conversation when it comes to that topic, so its pointless.

  • @SonyWalkman also its a show, it's supposed to be relatable for all audiences and not all audiences are religious or christian. therefore it's not MY problem, it's something the writers should've excluded from the series all together. which is exactly why shows don't included moments like this in series today, because it's not relatable to all audiences and alienates the viewer that does not belong to that category.

  • @monie802 Well, by excluding any kind of religious whatever, then religious viewers might have a harder time relating to it as well. There's no way that a show can appeal to absolutely everyone. So it's not a problem with the writers. It's not a problem at all, unless you chose to make it one. You can either get all flustered and upset that a tv show displayed something you disagreed with, or you can take it with a grain of salt and keep enjoying the show.

  • @SonyWalkman Exactly. The problem only exists if someone wants to look for something to complain about.

  • @monie802 The proof of that is in you being completely irrational. This show was around before everyone was paranoid about making every single human being on the entire planet happy, it is a Christmas episode. If you don't celebrate Christmas and get so irrationally offended by somebody praying, why are you watching Christmas episodes? Shows aren't intended to be relatable by everyone ever- if that were the case you would never get to know any characters because they would need to focus on...

  • @monie802 ...people from every country of every race of every sexual orientation of every gender identity of every political affiliation of blah blah blah. However, this show is easily relatable to most everyone. If you can find me one human being who can't relate to feeling helpless and seeking out help wherever they feel most confident seeking help, I would assume you made said person out of stone. If you focus on the religion, you're going to get offended because for some reason someone...

  • @monie802 ...speaking to a god, imaginary or not, is an issue for you, but the point is the meaning. It IS your problem that you are THAT uncomfortable with people having a different belief than you and feeling comfortable sharing that belief. Especially in a TV show episode about a religious holiday. Just like no one can 100% for sure prove no god exists, you can't 100% prove the opposite, so there's no need for you to be self-rightously insulting. Have a wonderful new year.

  • @Jexpel Well said!

  • AWWW, TOMMY ! :)

  • The first episode where Morgan isn't acting like a bitch.

  • @InsaneBlaze23 what are you talking about? Morgan's not a bitch, she's a little girl who enjoys making fun of her brothers

  • @backstreetification The old Morgan from the early seasons was a sweet, fun girl.

The older Morgan has a bitchy attitude.

  • Everybody in the world should be happy.

  • @saayahaorenoyome Not to be rude, but you ask for too much.

There can never be happiness for every one.

  • i love eric!

  • Eric is one of the greatest characters in TV history

  • I. Love. Eric.

  • @missmurdersays ...he isn't real only to the people that don't believe in him...I for one do.

  • i love how every christmas with the matthews have mr feeny read to them :)

  • I Love Cory told Tommy.. Eric was a good brother

  • The whole subplot with Eric and Tommy makes me feel like I'm gonna cry. And that's saying something because I'm NEVER weepy when it comes to watching shows and films and reading books. Boy Meets World is the only show that makes me get all sappy and emotional.

  • @Evabelle1991 wow i read your comment and thought the same exact thing. I'm not the one to get all weepy over sad movies and stuff but this last part of the episode (eric and tommy) made me a feel like i'm gonna cry

  • @rahsek1 Same here, of course. It's just such a sad scene. =(

  • Feeney's xmas carol again lol, and I nearly cried with Eric and Tommy ohhhh.

The spirit of christmas, (even though I'm watching this in oct. lol)

  • EVERY SINGLE SCENE WITH TOMMY I BURST OUT INTO TEARS T^T

  • this one made me cry!

  • *OH ERIC!*

Im gonna watch this again in dec, ABC fam will prob be at this ep by then anyway

  • absolutely AMAZING episode! best show EVER!

  • I love these scenes with Eric. He may be silly and a little goofy but he has a huge heart and I think that's due to his child innocence.

  • i don't like that they don't show episode in tv shows that teach you something. Show you not to be selfish and help other people. Seeing this, seeing how Eric, Jack and Rachel helped those kids makes me want to do something like that

  • AWWWW!!!!!!!t the beginning of eric and tommy! <333

  • @missmurdersays true

  • Why did shawn and angela go all the way back to penbrook just to talk..?

  • @10basshero10 bad lighting in the back porch, too many places for Cory and Topanga to hide in the kitchen

  • @10basshero10 it isnt tht far away from the Mathews house and they needed somewhere to talk in private

  • @vainokee what is going on I've never watched this video before in my life what is this when did I comment on this video who is shawn and angela

  • awww tommy <3

  • even though that was kinda sappy it still made my eyes water. :(

  • Eric is such an amazing person.

    Big heart :)

  • they picked the wrong episode to have all the Shawn & Angela drama. Because honestly, i forgot and didn't care about them at all as soon as i saw Tommy and the development of Eric.

  • this is the cutest

  • the only thing they keep consistent is a christmas carol, read by feeny

  • tommy reminded me a little of tiny tim from a christmas carol...eric is so sweet...u kno i keep seeing bits of eric in cory...

  • awww...eric.........

  • tommy is so cute i wanna cry

  • we need more erics in this cruel world.

  • half the time u cant even see angela in this episode...xD

  • @pitterboy46

    Haha Nice.

  • i always loved how deep this show was

  • yeah,i love this show too

been watchin it since i was like 12

perfect mix of comedy and emotion

    BMW rules all!!!

and dont worry actinchik229,if its love, you guys will be ok

  • 2:17 AM and i can't stop watching !!!!

  • @mjac4ever haha i know its awful and awesome at the same time!!

  • @mjac4ever hahaha it's 2: 48 am for me right now

  • this is way Eric will away be my fave

  • ok :) boy meets world is soooooooo amazing!!!!! i love this show. Eric talks to God!! u never see anything like it on t.v any more... sooooooooooooooooooooooo sad :(

  • i can tell you sean deserved angela to walk out on there conversation. but i know how he feels i left my bf for the exact same reason i was terrifyed of love and i smashed his heart completely not cuz i wanted to mess with his heart only cuz i was scared. and now he wants nothing to do with me and it breaks my heart

  • i like eric's softer side. Eric is pretty funny but his real character has a big heart

  • such an amazing episode.

    Eric is my hero.

  • NO ANGELA NO DON'T LEAVE!

  • made me cry

  • i love eric in this episode hes the best the way he brought in that little boy so he could be with a family for christmas

  • Oh, man, Eric breaks my heart in this episode. ;_____;

  • Eric is sooo sweet!

  • did they really have to travel all the way to the university to talk?

that must have been one hella awkward drive over there

  • in what episode do Shawn and Angela get back together officially.

    I don't remember

  • aww this episode made me cry. I love eric and tommy.

  • *tear *sniff *tear *sniff...i really couldn´t help but crying in this episode!!

    i LOVE TOMMY!!!!!...and for that...I love Eric!

  • stupid shawn........

  • one of my favorite epsiodes. i dont get why disney channel wont make shows like this anymore. this was the best. the shows they show now dont really teach us anything. shows like this actually taught us a lesson. i miss this show.

  • I almost cried wen the lil boy asked for parents 4 Christmas :( I feel so srry for him, this is a wonderful show

  • the first two minutes between shawn and angela are intense/heartwrenching...wow =(

  • umm wat episode is it when tommy and eric say goodbye and its all sad and he cries

i miss this show so much

  • Omg I cried so much! I love Eric

  • i am an atheist but i can respect, Eric asking God the questions, for someone of religion things like this probably effect you more i assume.

It must be a blow to your faith.

  • @OverlordKaine1989 With all due respect, it actually strengthens my faith to know that God has a plan...and yes the unfortunate side to this is the fact that he does not have parents but the fortunate side is the fact that God calls us to act as Eric did in the episode and to nurture and be effective in the lives of the ones that are less fortunate...because as you see in later episodes, Eric was born into a family and an all around better environment but this little kid had just as much of an

  • @OverlordKaine1989 of an effect if not more on Eric as Eric had on him....It was part in Tommy's(a less fortunate person) in life...ummmm, yea ha

  • Eric's monologue is incredibly powerful.

  • "and why do I only come to you when I need something?" I wonder this all the time.

God, this is a great show.

  • this one made me cry

  • eric is amazing ♥

  • I cried! this is so beautiful..

  • Aww, yeah Eric can be an idiot, but what a sweet idiot with a big heart he is. I could marry him, all you gotta do is mold him lol.

  • I love how close they are with Feeny

  • I love how when Shawn is telling Angela how he feels about her, he rests his fingers on his heart. Makes the chemistry extremely believable.

  • This is one of my favorite episodes EVER! No matter how dumb Eric can be, he has a tremendous HUGE Heart! And, can be smart! I loved when he talked to God! Eric is sooo great, i loved this show! Its so much better, and has so many great values, and life lessons, that isnt on Disney and Nick and all the other crap thats on tv today!

  • @taylorlaunterislove Yea, I know...what happened? :( I tried to give the other shows a chance when I am bored, but the most I get out of those shows is how to act silly and goof up. Occasionally you learn the lessons of not lying and staying loyal to your friends and family, but only rarely. BMW has deeper lessons, I like that.

  • @taylorlaunterislove your right it was great it had all that and they still managed to make you laugh

  • @taylorlaunterislove hes an idiot the whole series, but he knows people, and thats all he knows, but sometimes he doesnt know how to go about certain things

  • i'm not even religious and still found this episode to be one of the best ever aired on TV

  • @holtra i'm not saying that yes i get hurt when i get turned down but i was simply saying when a guy gets turned down every body says oh well she wasn't ready and if he gets upset they tell him off for being insenitive but when he says hes not ready the girl gets all upset and every one gets mad at the guy .. it just seems like to me guys have to be ready as soon as the girl wants but if she dosn't want to then he has to put up with it. so damned if you do damned if you don't.

  • why are girls the only ones not aloud to be ready but when we say it they get up upset and hurt

  • @xxdmansxx ohh you tell me you dont get hurt/sad/upset/something when you are turned down

  • i dont really understand why shawn and angela just wont be together. this episode made me really sad :( poor tommy.

  • and tommy was never seen again lol

  • thats because he was adopted by the Olivers and went on to become the Green Ranger, then the white ranger, then red rangers and finally the black ranger. WHAT? It's a fitable storyline, lol

  • power rangers? Tommy

  • yes he was....

  • actually he was, i'm not sure if it was still tommy, but in a different episode, Eric was going to adopt the same actor who played tommy, but he ended up being adopted by a family in pennsylvania, it was a pretty cool episode too.

  • @MrThatstheguy He was in two more episodes. Ressurection and the one after that one featured him pretty extensively.

  • Aww! <3 I frigging love Eric! He's soooooo sweet!! :)

  • I miss shows that werent afraid to show people talking to God. You never see that now.

  • @CJSmith8793 thank you. exactly.

Like in the motorcycle accident episode, too.

  • @supacrazy555 yupp

  • @CJSmith8793

Yeah, with out any irony or making it seem like a giant deal.

  • @CJSmith8793

Can't say I miss that. There was no reason to bring religion into this show IMO.

  • @Cruelhazard It's a Christmas episode and they don't incorporate religion in every single episode.

  • Comment removed

  • @Cruelhazard

They do the same exact thing at the end of Season 4, with Shawn praying to a God he barely believes in. This show rarely brings up such issues and when they do, at least they admit that people usually just talk to God when they need something.

  • @CJSmith8793 I miss shows that weren't all politically correct. This show was so good for young people to see it and it helped them evolve into adults

  • lol aw

    now i now he's Eric

  • Thanks for sharing. This is one of my favorite BMW episodes, mostly because of Eric's storyline. Him talking to God is one of my favorite BMW moments. I love this episode because it shows that Christmas is about opening your home and your heart to others.

  • god works in mysterious ways...to help us understand and realize what we can do, and what has to be done...Eric found that out, helped tommy have a family for christmas... this was a great episode.

  • best show alive

  • I THINK THAT SHAWN IS SO CUTE.

  • @Meme0shane try dating some one like him.. you will end up with the same conclution Angela did.. i know i did
