LCA started high G turn at 0:36 and ended at 1:12! It took more than 35 seconds to complete a G turn. Folks it can't pull over 6 Gs may be with the best Indian pilot in the cockpit right now. You can confirm it through the video by yourself. LCA will be a complete failure in dog fight even with the delta wings. On the other hand, the JF-17 completes the high G turn in 19 seconds and pulls over 8.5 Gs. I had confirmed it.

The Indians don´t know which engine to fit in the LCA since their "indigenous" Kaveri-engine is years from working, if it will work at all. Jet-engine companies from both Russia and France have trying to fix it, but it seems to be at a dead end.Any new engine they choose will require major redesign of the fuselage, thats a few more years of delays. If the LCA ever becomes operational, lets be optimistic and say 2015, it will however be hopelessly out of date.
well the turn rate looks gud, problem is with the camera man, who actually filmed this footage. while recording a fighter maneuver, camera should have been zoomed to have a closer view of the fighter itself, to get all those details, but the sad thing is, we got to see just a zoomed out view, which itself degrades view of the fighters maneuverability. hope on the next display someone films in a more professional way. I am not trying to degrade the camera man of this video, tats the start.

@aviatormikehunter The LCA was a flawed project in its early years however due to vast spending on Indians point of view, they couldn't afford to scrap it hence the reason the project is still crippling forward today. Nevertheless, the JF-17 is an infant compared to the LCA and I would say more successful in that the short time compared to the LCA it has achieved much more and we have seen more test flights of the JF-17 than the number of photos of the LCA.

The LCA has very impressive electronics package.. unfortunately, DRDO hasn't been able to use the radar they developed in both A2G and A2A mode. Additionally, the engine needs to be designed to produce about 90KN of thrust.
Apart from this, the aircraft is state of the art, and it's airframe (60pc composite) is light years ahead of the JF-17 (full metal).
But guys, no need to worry, for now it'll carry the ELTA radar and EJ200/GE414 engine, it's still a bird of prey :)

The Tejas failed miserably against its own bench mark. For a plane as light as this one, the max speed achieve was only 1.2 mach, with no supersonic cruising. So basically it is useless right now. Wait for the Mk2 and see if anything improves.
Yes actually Tejas's test platform previously was F16 vista but, when US pulled it back then it was tested against Israeli F 16 and Israel is also providing avionics systems for Tejas

LCA is under thorough tests by IAF, it has already crossed the milestone of 1000 sorties and still going to go through tough tests. I heard and read that JF-17 has not gone through many tests but in a hurry IOC and FOC was given. Finally who will be the looser?
LCA with such rigourous tests will out perform and will be more reliable than JF-17 my dear.

India is just making its false claims for LCA in order to influence the the world due to the failure of LCA. LCA will be outdated by the time it comes out in full production and India induct it into the services completely by 2015. Actually its already outdated. What a waste of time and money. I can’t figure out India when it comes to projects like Arjun and LCA. The Arjun-project started in 1972 and now almost 40 years later all they have to show for are prototypes, same story with LCA.

@aviatormikehunter The LCA was a flawed project in its early years however due to vast spending on Indians point of view, they couldn't afford to scrap it hence the reason the project is still crippling forward today. Nevertheless, the JF-17 is an infant compared to the LCA and I would say more successful in that the short time compared to the LCA it has achieved much more and we have seen more test flights of the JF-17 than the number of photos of the LCA.

Clearly ADA has taken too long to develop the Tejas. A 25 years lead time to develop a fighter aircraft is unrealistic. The IAF was never enthusiastic about inducting LCA. The aircraft's combat performance was dismal and so was its weapon load and Engine problem. Its high pressure hydraulic system was prone to frequent failures and its canopy and ejection systems has serious defects. During its prototype tests the LCA prototypes were grounded for many months on many occasions.

1. LCA cant even pull more than 17 degrees AOA meaning it has a limited angle of attack JF-17 can pull the same amount as a F-16.
2. LCA isn't even for all weathers recently in an airshow in India in 2009 LCA wasn't able to take off in rain.
3. Its too costly meaning its no longer a replacement for ur flying coffins.
4. It has been 27 years and u only have produced 6 prrototypes (the longest aviation project in history).

5. Its engines has problems it can only give 85 KN but the requirement ogf IAF is 95-100 KN
6. Its also got thrust problems.
7. Its 1.5 tones more heavier than planned.
8. LCA at present is only pulling 8 Gs and IAF's requirement is atleast 9 GS.
9. Because of engine and thrust problems it cant even carry full load of weapons.
10. LCA needs new engine means the whole plane is require to redesign.
All these facts are stated on "Indian Ministry of Defence".

The LCA has very impressive electronics package.. unfortunately, DRDO hasn't been able to use the radar they developed in both A2G and A2A mode. Additionally, the engine needs to be designed to produce about 90KN of thrust.
Apart from this, the aircraft is state of the art, and it's airframe (60pc composite) is light years ahead of the JF-17 (full metal).
But guys, no need to worry, for now it'll carry the ELTA radar and EJ200/GE414 engine, it's still a bird of prey :)

The Tejas failed miserably against its own bench mark. For a plane as light as this one, the max speed achieve was only 1.2 mach, with no supersonic cruising. So basically it is useless right now. Wait for the Mk2 and see if anything improves.

I think your grand father would have heard in his childhood that India has so many hungry and poor people. You belived it so much that you keep telling the same old stuff in all your posts. Now the senario has completly changed in India my dear. Now you have to really worry about your so called rougue country (as declared by USA). India has capability to feed even pakis freely through out the year. We have millions of tonnes of food stored in our gowdowns. If you are hungry let me know DUMBO!!

LCA is under thorough tests by IAF, it has already crossed the milestone of 1000 sorties and still going to go through tough tests. I heard and read that JF-17 has not gone through many tests but in a hurry IOC and FOC was given. Finally who will be the looser?
LCA with such rigourous tests will out perform and will be more reliable than JF-17 my dear.
But still we Indians will not mind hearing your comments, afterall we give freedom to DOGS to bark.
