They are not native wildlife, wildlife in Ohio and most other parts of America are not adapted to predators such as feral cats, many native birds have gone extinct and many more are just about to go extinct. I see a feral cat, it is dead, end of story.

These animals have been here as long as we have. They crossed the Baring straight just like we did and although mutations of their species has created smaller varieties of said species, it does not eliminate their need to kill prey and eat it. The North American Bobcat, the North American Cougar, the South American Jaguar. They're all in the same family and they're all predators who kill prey small enough to take down. According to scale, that would mean that the bird is prey for the small cat.
