If I remember right, there have been strange glitches where the Blue Shell wouldn't target you if you were in first, but instead it would go flying across the whole track and hit someone, and it usually isn't first place.

I dunno how that glitch works though. ._.

Yeah it IS possible to dodge a blue shell alright, but the blue shell is still an overpowered piece of crap, the only thing that is stopping me from giving Mario Kart a 10/10 rating, in fact, I only give it 9.5/10.

How do you get blue shells in first?

either stay near the back of the race, get a blue shell, and get to first place, or most probably he's used Action Replay and used the "Always have blue shell" code.

It was an issue with the frame rates, but I always do hop to dodge a shell.

Let go of red sparks and jump just before the shell hits you, while it's dropping.

can i ask a question, you get red sparks and when the blue shell is coming down, you hop right when it hits you, after, before?

just before it hits (about 0.001 seconds or something), hop!!!

You do have to perform the hop with R, it doesn't do it automatically. The sooner, the better. It will mean faster snaking.

You can also dodge a blue shell if you play at Airship fortress and you go thorugh the canon and the blue shell can hit you in those situtations or in Waluigi Pinball
