  • "Type in PEOPLESFORTHEPEOPLE Wonderful Fantasy, this song is the hottest."

  • not one curse word.....NICE!!!! this is real hip hop,

  • @sqsanchez

    Sorry but that's bullshit.

Sometime the things are the realest when you swear your fucking heart out.

Just to make a fucking point.

Important is that the lyricist vision is best portrayed in lyrics.

    Nothing more.

    Just check immortal technique.

He swears but even realer than this.

  • @skankingrhythmics i used to like immortal tech but i just got fed up with the hate in his words

  • @THEMAYNE15

    Wtf.. hate?

    He wants justice.

That's why he and every other humanist is so pissed of at the world.

If you have the mind to comprehend all the shit in the world, you'll bound to get a little bit more cynical.

Anyway, I know there is not more hate in him than there would be in any other rapper.

    Pz

  • @skankingrhythmics yes you are correct but profanity makes music no more convincing, in fact its harder to listen to because profanity destroys and lyrical depth

  • @hamptonlax29 oops thats supposed to say any

  • @hamptonlax29

    Listen Ned Flanders.

Let's look at it from a different perspective.

If it wasn't for profanity, deep lyrical hiphop wouldn't even exist.

But it has gotten beyond meaning these days, (bitches n ho's, money & pimps & gangstahs = bullshit) but that doesn't mean you can't have rude lyrics.

It is by the way mainly mainstream hiphop that lacks good lyrics.

    And my final argument:

If you'd leave profanity out of art like hiphop or poetry, you'd have incomplete pieces of art thus nothing.

  • @skankingrhythmics I disagree, first off no good poetry has profanity. Second, a message can be conveyed through a song much more easily without profanity. Im not saying that its bad or detremental to music. But a great rapper can portray a story of present a good message through lyrical genius without crude language.

  • @hamptonlax29

The thing that started all the senseless profanity in hiphop was deathrow.

But it was the way the black guys in the ghetto thought.

It was a good depiction of their life and their reality.

And there is plenty of poetry with profane language. (or just controversial subjects)

You just have to look at it from it's own zeitgeist.

    My very last question is:

How can you rap about the 3th world (which is a unique thing in the hiphop scene) without being pissed off?

  • @skankingrhythmics I never said you couldnt be pissed off, so dont misconstrue what i said. Second all i said it cursing incessantly inst neccessary to portray a message, plenty of great underground rappers do that. And do please tell me 10 legitimate poems with profanity in them

  • @hamptonlax29

I'm not talking about me, I was talking about Immortal technique.

But saying that cursing and profanity isn't necessary (BTW it's necessary, not with double c) is just wrong.

I bet you didn't even listen to the song dance with the devil.

There is cursing and profanity in it, but in the song it is the reality of the boy who has the 'devil' inside of him.

That 'devil' can be everywhere and can be everyone.

Now if you would think all the profanity out of that song, what do you have?

  • @skankingrhythmics you would still have a song, just without cursing

  • @skankingrhythmics By the way its "3rd" world not "3th" world

  • @hamptonlax29

    Don't correct my language.(hypocrite)

    This is my second language.

  • @skankingrhythmics However, i wasnt playing that game, i understand that you most likely are from a latin american country and you speak, or type remarkably well for english being your second language. I'm just saying although latin america does have tremendous issues and this is portrayed exceptionally well throughout all of immortal technique's songs (peruvian cocaine being the most obvious) i just think there doesnt have to be as much cursing. thats just my opinion and im entitled to it.

  • @hamptonlax29

I was talking about Immortal Technique.

So you would think that he would make the same point as clear as he presents without 'profanity'.

If you know how much pain is inflicted on Latin American people across the continent, you'll have to revise your statement about 'profanity' and 'convincing'.

    Lemme tell you something.

If you'd live in nicaragua and you'd knew that the US is suplying your country with weapons, would you be peaceful?

And what if US supported your local dictator?

  • @skankingrhythmics I believe that there isn't any Latin American that is treated poorly, most of them have stable jobs.

  • @hamptonlax29

ok, now I know the reason of your choice in lyrics.

    You are plain ignorant.

You don't have any sense of history and the injustice caused by USA upon latin american people.

Look up: guatamala 1954 , contras 1979-1990, mexican border patrols + killings. (Stable jobs?! ok, you are trolling me.)

Anyway, you can't tell the audience you are pissed off without using profanity to empower that emotion.

Listen to dance with the devil, from immortal technique and you may get a hint.

  • Okay, Latin Americans have it easy compared to basically every african country below the poverty line. When you talk about those "atrocities" there are atleast three times the many in Africa. Yeah it is aweful what has happened in those countries, but it isnt like youve ever experienced it and neither have i, so dont preach to me about this when you yourself have no experience, that is about as ignorant as it gets.

  • @hamptonlax29

I wasn't playing the 'who has it worst game'.

I mean, even every child knows that Africa has the worst human rights in the world.

But I was talking about Immortal Technique who was talking about latin america.

So you are actually trying to change topics here.

Immortal Technique DOES travel to the middle-east, to africa and to latin america for humanitarian help.

If I had the money, I would too.

But as that is not the case, I'll just try to study it from a distance.

  • @skankingrhythmics you may not like my opinion, but atleast respect it. I wont start a petty youtube fight over this because clearly you dont agree with me and you have much more knowledge of the pain suffered by latin americans. But do not call my curse-less music choices ignorant. I may not know the pain of a latin american or agree with some aspects of immortal techniques musical styles but i still like him and many other hip hop aritist whether they curse or not.

  • @hamptonlax29 hah if u read ur comment right, it flows and rhymes most of the time hah...especially to this beat

  • @franchise11 hahaha thanks, if only it were planned

  • @hamptonlax29 & @skankingrhyhmics

i just read every comment argument you two had.

    fuckin epic man hahahha

  • @hamptonlax29 & @skankingrhyhmics

i just read every comment argument you two had.

fuckin epic man hahahha i agree with both you

  • @skankingrhythmics Its viewpoints like yours "If you have the mind to comprehend all the shit in the world, you'll bound to get a little bit more cynical." that ruin music, music shouldn't be in a state where every song is about death, and hatred, and racism, with unceasing profanity and negativity. Thats why i would take Common Market, or Macklemore, or any other underground rapper whose songs are not all about complaining about their problems and cursing people out, over say Immortal Technique

  • suuuuuper amazing

  • Probs vom Munich (germany). Best music i´ve ever heard

  • I make the most of an unusual circumstance!

  • wow there aint many people like him who rap about the good things in life... all otheres is about hos and money

  • That's because this is hip hop. Rap is usually about a man's affinity for the way a particular girl's butt looks while performing certain dance moves.

If you like this then you would probably also like Black Star. Check'm out^^

  • I am sorry but you are a complete moron if you can't see the genius in RA Scion's lyrics. There are many points of absolute amazing demonstration of what writing lyrics is about. He serves a cause from another land, I don't expect you to fully understand. Fo sho. For sure.

  • this beat is straight fire, and this emcee is without a sliver of doubt worthy of having flowed over it. Sick shizz

  • Comment removed

  • ha, let 'em hate. there will always be opposition, but most of the time they just serve as a good source for laughter

  • Being gay shouldn't even be in question. Its music, you either like what artists make or you dont. But to not like their music because they are gay is ignorant. This track is amazing. True hip hop, screw mainstream. Most people dont even know where to find real hip hop besides MTV, MTV BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RammS203 RA isn't gay.

  • @RammS203 Is he gay? Didn't know that thought i knew much about him and sabz

  • how have i never heard of these guys before?

  • My fave lately has been Weather Vane off their Tobacco Road disk. Great vibe on that track.

  • u want a gd common market song check out connect for

  • THATS MY FAVORITE BESIDES NINA SING

  • "That Warehouser mentality where 1 tree replaced by 3 is mathamatically sound"

My god he is the greatest MC lyrically ive seen in a while. In many of his songs he makes these historical allusions which invoke thought and criticize this monopolist mentality of the German lumber tycoon who destroyed most of the north American forests destroying natural habitats and replacing them with a man made enviorment therefore justifying his lumber consumption but DAM hes so sick.

  • I have no idea what that like even means. my head is spinning

  • line not like.

  • lol sorry just learned it in Econ. buttttttt. Basically there was this German lumber Tycoon named Warehouser who destroyed most of the North American forests in the pursuit of money. Basically his mentality was if he planted 3 trees for every tree he chopped down he would be off setting the damage he was doing. But he never realized he was destroying natural habitats. So when Ra Sion says "That Warehouser mentality where 1 tree replaced by 3 is mathamatically sound" he is just criticizing greed

  • which rapper has a better beard common or RA

  • RA, sweetest beard I have ever seen (that hasn't been greased into a shape)
