@STIAu72 I believe that is the Tapco Stubby Vertical Grip. I love it, I find the full size VG's to be too large. I uses my stubby VG just as a point of reference to keep my hand placement consistent on my rail.

@Marinefreak90 The Magpul BAD allows you to control your bolt without taking your hand off fire control. What that means is, with your hand still on the grip, you can lock the bolt open if you want or send it forward. It's a really nice piece that makes manipulating your gun that much easier.

How did you take out the front sights? In your previous video you had stock front sights and mentioned you would be taking 'em out as they interfered with your Eotech. Would've loved to have seen you post that video as you took them out.

@Berion189 I didn't take out my sights, I paid a gunsmith to do it for me. He charged me, something like, 20 dollars. It requires some specialty tools that I don't own so the 20 was well worth it.

@tubefed420 I like them a lot. For the price they really can't be beat. Now I have heard rumors about them melting, I haven't seen anything like that. Now if install it to a railed gas block and you shot hundreds and hundreds of rounds, none stop, that might happen. They sit low and weigh nothing which is a nice feature. Hope that helps.

@systemaddictshock Not at all man lol. You could buy 3 rifles like that for around $6000. The rifles like $1000 right now, at least out be me they cant give ARs away. Everybody bought so many when Obama got into office they overproduced em. A good stock is like $60-120, quad rail is $100-300, Sight is like $350, iron sights are $80 foregrip is like $50. So you can get this rifle with everything brand new as you see it for around $2000.

@culum If you aren't a shooter, meaning if the rifle can out shoot your aim, then you don't need to worry about free floating. Also if you have a 16 inch or shorter barrel you wont really see much difference. The one thing it will do is help the barrel cool down better if you have an open version like the YHM free floats. I think they just look better myself but that's an opinion. I free floated mine a while back and honestly I cant tell the difference, I have Irons sights also. But I love it.

Is there a reason you didnt get the MOE handguard?

@duke3oh8 There were a few reasons why I didn't get the MOE handguard, One reason is I didn't want polymer that close to the hot barrel and gas block. I know that the MBUS sites can possible melt from the heat of the gas block and figured the Handgaurd would have the same problem. Two, I wanted free float quad rails so that eliminated the MOE. Last I didn't like that I had to buy the Polymer rails and attach them where I wanted. I just wanted a handguard that I could attach things to.

@MustyYetisTacticalHQ Hey dude, if you actually go to Magpul's site and I believe it is listed as a warning on the hand guard paperwork as well, Magpul actually states that if you want to use their brand MBUS sights, not to use them on the MOE hand guard! I had one and decided to sell it for a railed model cuz I wanted their MBUS sights. Just thought that might help some people out there. I think it has to do with movement of the hand guard and the height of the sight?

Just to add a little 2 cents in building an AR, I purchased my lower on my birthday last Sept. and am still buying parts to build it the way I like it. I have a Stag Arms, can't remember the model but it is very similar to the Bushmaster in these 2 vids. One of my best suggestions is to go to your local range and ask people to see theirs, most won't mind and will let you shoot it if they are cool, and to get out to your local gun shows! Google every part for the best prices and good luck!

@verylonelyvirgin They are EOTechs. There are a ton of options out there when looking for holographic sights. Aimpoints, Trijicon, and EOTechs are the most popular and are all great red dots. They will cost you a lot but will last you forever... happy hunting.

I slapped some od magpul stuff on my dpms. The od is a lot darker than what I thought. its hard to even make out the green color sometimes. But the foilage is too light for me. regardless, Magpul makes top notch stuff. the quality is outstanding.

@sunandmoon111 You know I don't think people realize how dark the OD Green really is. Like you said it's so dark its hard to even make it out. I totally agree with you that the Foliage Green is too light, it's definitely not for me. Have you checked out the UDE (Urban Dark Earth)? I believe it's a light gray color. @tacticaltrigger Ok I first want to make it clear that I'm not promoting this product, I've never used it or even seen it in person... but Duracoat makes a Magpul FDE color which would match all Magpul's products. Krylon is excellent paint that I've used on my Remington 597 magazines but I'm not sure they make a FDE color. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

When I first went shooting with my AR15's they had the cheap mil-spec quad rails and I was hitting a 10 inch rock (every time) from 75 yards away with iron sights... this was before I got my EOTechs. I went back again with the EOTech's and was probably getting 1 to 2 inch groups at 75 yards. I'm doing a little guess work here because that was a long time ago, having to reach to the back of my brain for this. Hope that helps

I'm surrounded by hundreds of miles of wheat fields so Flat Dark Earth was the best choice. Although in my state is mostly covered by forests so I thought an OD Green would be good for a second color. Unfortunately it's harder to get stuff in digital camo, so it's not as easy as yo may think.

I know some people love the Flat Dark Earth and hate the OD Green where as others love the OD Green and hate the FDE. They are both cool in the own regards, as you can see I couldnt choose so I just did both. Its time to start the new project of modifying my Arsenal SGL21 so lets hope that turns out as cool. @navyman8903 I personally like the 551 better because it has a smaller base and offers me night vision. I have absolutely no problem with the N Type batteries that people seem to think are hard to fine... They aren't, they are everywhere. I just learned a lot from my first build with my OD Green AR... I like the smaller grip and EOTech, it saves space and weight.

If you can't find the 551 new and you just want a new EOTech then look into the XPS's. They are smaller than my 551 with a longer battery life, so that would definitely be a good option for you.

Nice weapons. But the thing that bothers me about the carbine length guns is that barrel sticking out. Just seems like a waste of space that could be used for a longer sight radius or a longer rail system. Midlength is the shortest I would go.

@ThePechanator2 Yeah unfortunately there isn't anything I can do about the long barrel. In my state the shortest barrel allowed is 16 inches, so your looking at the shortest I can get. It's about the only thing that pisses me off about my state... There is nothing I want more than a SBR, but it can't be done. Sorry to let you down on the long barrel length.

@cokeman2423 Very very true... Nothing beats gun porn. Thanks for reminding me I don't shoot, its a sore subject for me. I need to make a video update so people know why I dont have any videos up of me shooting. Where I live there aren't any shooting ranges or any public fields to shoot at. Im surrounded by hundreds of miles of wheat fields that are farmed all year long. The only time they arent is when its winter. Either way I'm not going to trespass to shoot my guns, it freakin sucks.
