How can prayer slow down healing? That seems counter-intuitive to me. Studies are always skewed to the desired outcome. I will take prayer from anyone in a heartbeat.
God is Great! He does listen.. Sometimes it's yes, sometimes no and sometimes not yet.
So much peace with this song. For those who suffer, the hope is there, for those who see no hope, the hope is promised in this song, and for those who need to hear the Words of God, it is sung here with angelic excellence, ethereal beauty. Hope IS everlasting!

Even if there was something that I very much wanted, and a liking of this song is actually something I would be ashamed to have, telling me that you're praying for me would make it less likely to happen. Studies into the effect of intercessory prayer show slower recovery rates in groups of sick patients who know they are being prayed for. Praying for people is a bad thing to do.
That is simply the most silly thing I have evr heard! Praying is the ONLY automatic thing we should ever do. To Stand before the throne of God our Father, the Creator of the entire Universe, is the best thing we can ever do! One day I was crying inconsolably on the grave of my little boy who died unexpectedly. I prayed for God to give me a sign to show me he was safe and at peace. I got into my car and the radio played exactly the moment I turned it on this song. This beautiful song , "It is well with my soul" played until I drove down the hill to the gates of the cemetary and then ended exactly as I arrived at the exiting gates.
I know this was God's message to my heart.."Your little boy is held safely in my arms, it is well with his soul !" . I will always find comfort in that memory !!!

Remember that, as believers, we are PROMISED that we are washed clean of all sin and that pain and death will lose it's sting and we have ETERNITY with GOD.
