@FletcherHabit well, there's as many carb-addicts in my opinion. And I don't mean addicts to healthy carbs - but to refined/processed carbs/sugars. Even a vegan must admit that crap is scary.
Once you change wheat so much it's no longer recognizable and mill the crap out of it, so it's got no nutrients, then put some back and call it "enriched" it's not so healthy anymore.
And most things that come in a box at the supermarket are S C A R Y.
I think this video is more an argument against modern factory-farming (which admittedly, is horrible) than against meat-eating itself.
And yes, there should be something done about the abuses of modern factory farming - as a meat-eater I can certainly agree with that. That's why I buy pasture-raised / grass-fed beef.
Fucking idiots thats what you all are. We are omnivores and don't give me that shit about taking a life. Its nature, Animals eat animals. And this dude is showing videos of indeed not well treated animals for meat. But that thos NOT happen everywhere. Just buy meat off animals that had a good life.
@Koenstuurwold0 Yeah, just like its nature to kill each other apparently, so if another holocause starts im sure you will be fine with it, because after all, its in our nature right?
@BiddaBiddaCherryPie Animals EAT animals!! We did it 300.000 years ago and are still doing it. Killing eachother in a holocaust has nothing to with eating animals for food. Are you really that retarted?
@Koenstuurwold0 No, we started doing it around 100-50 thousand years ago, and it has a hell of a lot to do with it. Once we viewed black people as inferior and treat them like we still treat animals, its all a matter of perspective. But using the argument "its in our nature" is just fucking pathetic, its in our nature to kill, steal, rape and pillage, yet the average person managed to avoid them actions, and plenty of people survive without meat, so its hardly in our nature is it
@BiddaBiddaCherryPie I am not talking about the holocaust. I am talking about eating animals 300.000 years ago. I never said killing humans is in or nature. But eating other animals is. If you compare the holocaust with eating animals you are a fucking idiot. I keep enjoining my meat :D
@Koenstuurwold0 Your a fucking idiot, you think we ate meat 300,000 years ago, and killing humans apparently is in our nature, hence war. Maybe you should pay attention in a science class and you might learn something, look at our biology, we are not supposed to be eating meat, 100,000 years is not time to evolve a whole new diet you tit.
@BiddaBiddaCherryPie Eating meat immoral!! Check out this video! I like to eat locally grown foods. I ask could you maintain your diet anywhere on the planet eating only locally?
If you actually understood science (instead of the vegan propaganda you're spouting) you'd understand that humans produce all necessary digestive enzymes and have all the necessary incisors for eating meat. We're omnivores, plain and simple. What do you think primitive man ate during the ice age, if not meat? Inuits existed on meat and fat for 9 months a year, and in some places still do...
@AlbertaBeefy I dont deny we ate meat in the ice age. However all related animals to us, Chimps, Gorillas ect eat vegan food unless there is a severe lack of food. And why if we were supposed to eat meat do we show no methods of attacks any predator naturally? We are weak, have no natural attack mechanisms, no sharp teeth, claws, we are fairly slow in regards to running. And the fact that why cant eat meat raw without cooking it, and thats its entirely un-appetising to us raw.
@BiddaBiddaCherryPie actually, monkeys, chimps and gorillas (and other primates) all eat meat. They even cannibalize, and not just during lack of food. Some anthropologists actually believe they prize meat. You're just wrong on that one.
As for your other arguments, because we're omnivores, not predatory carnivores. We don't need to stalk/hunt and kill with canines/claws etc. Your arguments come from vegan propaganda, not science.
@FletcherHabit A recent National Geographic article suggests they do eat meat. Jane Goodall's site has the information as well, though says it needs further study.
Chimps and monkeys are well documented as eating meat in numerous places including showing it quite graphically on youtube videos. Do some digging and provide some evidence before claiming people are wrong.
The preponderance of evidence is clear on this one. Primates eat meat.
@Koenstuurwold0 Eating meat is immoral! Check out this video! I like to eat locally grown foods. I ask could you maintain your diet anywhere on the planet eating only locally?
Oh well, it is cruel to kill animals but it is also more cruel to kill a plant for a animal can scream and ask for help, a plan can't. It 's like covering the sun with your finger, isn't?
Its called reality people we were mention to get our Protein how ever the hell we want to survive. In the end this should not be made a political situation. It's a dietary choice so don't open your mouth about my food man I like beef and broccoli so mind your own business
@Jimboskunk1 But you dont get it. Its not like that.. Nature.. We stopped following nature. Elephants doesnt eat a little cheese once in a while, made of milk from another animal. Or a lion, settling with broccoli for a week. We get sick because we have to masturbate our taste-buds with all this crap. Then we eat the wrong stuff and people get sick. People walk around thinking cancer hits random people. It doesnt! Its just that BY FAR the majority of people eat crap food.
there is no absolute truth, u all know it is perspectives lol, for me, i think non-veg diet is sinful and eating meat reduce life span by dramatic couple of years, if u don't believe me, ask any experts, vegs live longer, healthier, have more stamina
but am i veg eater? no sorry, one or someday, i will change my diet safely and steadily.
humans are animal, god or creator or wtever didn't create animals to feed human beings, u all know in ur heart that humans are from monkeys 98%DNA same
Its not wrong to eat animals. What is wrong is how our animals are treated. You should be pushing for that instead of a diet most people won't follow over the long term.
Thankyou animal-rights guy for (somewhat) agreeing with me.
All of this pain and suffering in the meat industry is one reason I would prefer not to eat the meat found in shops.
This is one good reason why I am a hunter, by going out into nature, stalking and killing my own prey it gives me the satisfaction of knowing that the animal I'm eating lived it's life exactly as nature intended, not being caged up and eating it's natural diet until the food chain and cycle of life are completed by that
@dksmith605 First off, animals are not "it's"; they are he's and she's. Second, it is WRONG to murder other living beings for the selfish pleasure and taste of their flesh. They have a right to be here, too, and to live their full natural lives without any interference from us. You cause just as much suffering and violation of rights in stalking and killing them as on factory farms, although it may not be as prolonged--GO VEGAN!!
@dksmith605 I agree with you. Either you catch it yourself or you grow it yourself. That's the only way you can ensure the animal receives as humane a treatment as possible. People have become too separated from their food - it breeds apathy, desensitization and an "automatic mode" mentality.
-Long intestines (like all herbivore animals) for absorbing all the nutrients in plants, not for all the cholesterol and saturated fats. All carnivores have short intestines, why do you think REAL carnivorous animals never get heart disease?
-Short flat teeth (like all herbivore animals) for plants, canines and molars for hard fruits such as apples and carrots. We chew in a circle motion (like herbivore animals) not in a clamping motion (like carnivorous animals).
@duckcluck123 I am a vegan but you are not correct. We are omnivores and any scientist will tell you this. This argument devalues all of our efforts. You need to accept that humans are capable of consuming SMALL AMOUNTS of animal protein. The problem is that everyone abuses this.. Also, the way our food is processed now is so different than how it was intended. Humans have evolved beyond this need and have other sources.. but to say we are herbivores is a disservice.
@carogreyify I don't know where you get the idea that humans are omnivore but that is NOT correct--we are HERBivores! Also, just because we can consume animal protein doesn't mean that we should; regardless of whether an animal slave is fed antibiotics and hormones or not it is BAD for us, and we also have to think about the animals' rights that are being violated here, too, by being enslaved and exploited.
@Lisamarie1968 Humans are omnivores. Since there is a stupid character limit, I will just give you 5 reasons as to why we are omnivores.
1.Dental Structure
2.Nutrients
3.Primate Studies
4.Archaeological evidence.
In todays world humans can choose to be a herbivore or be an omnivore but biologically speaking humans are omnivores. Any argument about meat-free diet is based on ecological, ethical, or health concerns. Not biological, and biologically speaking humans ARE omnivores.

"The human diet is a starch based diet, along with fruits and vegetables."
Could you give us the reference where you got that information from? This way we can check for ourselves if it's true. It's not that we don't trust you, it's that we think for ourselves.
@duckcluck123 Our saliva has enzymes in it to start breakdown early, as all other plant eaters. Our stomach acids ph-level is by far not strong enough compared to meat eaters. The very tip of our tongue has the sweet-taste-buds, perhaps pointing towards fruits(???). Animal protein makes our blood thicker.
@Poodleinacan Can we? Can we really? Our stomachs are not made to digest the harmful bacteria that comes from raw meat. Predators and omnivores have a special enzyme that kills these bacteria; however, we do not. We have to cook and sanitize it to make it edible, and sometimes even that is not enough. We are more herbivores than anything. You do not see bears making a barbeque of the fish they eat. That is because they are natural omnivores. Humans are not.
@supernatural119 We cook the meat, because it's much more tasty when cooked.
We can eat raw meat, only if the animal is freshly killed...the meat we buy at the strore is matured (to tenderise it)...
Just look "Man vs Wild"...in his desert journey, he eats a raw snake (to preserve the liquids), and he doesn't get sick or anything...and in his journey in the Savanah, he eats some raw, freshly died zebra...and doesn't gets sick....
It's so nice that they made a video about how my meat is produced! Great production. I'm eating fish for dinner today. However tomorrow I really want some pork, or beef. I'm not too sure. What are you guys having? :)
@skofuzen I am a big time meat eater, but this video is really disturbing. So, what we're having for dinner?, i guess, I'll have to go hunting for wild pig or deer and slaughter them in an orthodox way :-) - fair for an animal and good dinner for me
When i watched Earthlings. I didn't eat meat as much anymore. i now eat pizza without meat, bagles. fruits and veges, and bread with whole grain in it. After 2 weeks of doing it I stopped being sleepy, depressed, lost a few pounds, stronger and don't have mood swings either. And I NEVER liked meat either. So BE VEGETERIAN!
Pigs are not able to move and become fat and depressed. Lol reminds me of some western fat people who eat that same fat that comes from those pigs. Both become fat, depressed, not being able to move (eventually). Tell me if that's some sort of karma or just plain irony. I believe that what comes around goes around.
I believe the Creator meant for animals to be used sparing only when necessary to sustain life and obviously, sane methods should be used for slaughtering in those rare instances.
It is wrong to kill animals when you have a good supply of plant foods. However, if your environment only allows you access to animal foods then you must eat that to survive. The most important thing is that your food is organic. Meat should be grass-fed, free-range, drug-free. Milk should be raw, whole, and unhomogenized. Plant-based diet with mostly raw food is the best diet as the evidence has shown though.
I dont think that chimps eating monkeys while they are still alive are treating those monkeys with respect.
When dolphins round up an entire school of sardines and slowly finish off the entire school, is that respectful?
There is an order of animals and some just happen to be food but no animal wants to be food. So the "feelings" of that animal is not imperative to the animal that is going to eat it.
If that were the case no animal would be a predator. But you know thats not the case.
@chubbypekingnese As humans, and by some people's standards better than just any animal, smarter and compassionate, isn't it our job to take care of other creatures? What they do is their business but we have a choice. We can understand their pain, or continue to ignore it by saying "well they're doing it! Why can't I?" Of course, I get where you are coming from, but there is always another side to things to consider
@chubbypekingnese Animals have a natural order. Some animals eat other animals, some don't. Humans are not natural carnivores , although we can digest small amounts of meat in survival situations without causing harm to our bodies. The way humans eat meat on this planet now is totally un-natural and cannot be sustained. Factory farms are a low point in the dignity of the human race.
@MrMazins1 "Low point in the dignity of the human race"? What the hell does that even mean?
Man isnt a carnivore. Man is omnivorous. We required both meat and plants to survive.
Now I am aware that some people are so fortunate that they have the means to where they can go out and purchase items to substitute their need for meat in their diet. Not everyone can do that.
Im not going to put down anyone who cant afford to be on a vegan diet.
@chubbypekingnese Have you ever been to a factory farm, or seen footage? There are millions of vegans on earth who are living very healthy lives without any animals in their diet. Why do you think that meat has to be substituted? There are no nutrients in meat that cannot be gained from a 100% plant -based diet. Meat is not needed in the diet of a human to survive .
Also, a plant -based diet is no more expensive than a meat based one.
You are obviously lacking in research on the matter.
@chubbypekingnese It is not hard for me to get my message across. These days it's the most easy thing to do given our technology.
Most people eat meat because they don't know any better. That's why people like me spread the message.Millions of people are changing to a plant -based diets every year.
You think you are at the top of the food chain but I would bet my left nut that you would not slaughter an animal yourself .

Great video. I fully agree that we should end what is effectively the industrialized murder of animals and go for free range. Animals should be grazing in fields not cooped up in pens. However, I will not agree that it is wrong per se to kill an animal for food.
I have been a meat lover for 52 years. After watching 'Farm to Fridge' on Youtube, I can no longer bring myself to eat meat. My husband is supporting me by being willing to eat what I eat and we have both found that we do not miss meat at all, much to our surprise. I am trying to become vegan because of the horrors of the corporate dairy and egg industry. It is more difficult but I am getting there through research and learning what replacements work for me. We need to all do our part.
i believe in the bible it says that its actually ok to eat meat, thing is, we as a people today do not follow bible code. it sates after the grate flood that god allows us to eat meat in a responsible way which we do not follow. thing is, we are suppose to allow the animal live freely, out doors and have the best life we can give them, when they age and eventually die, it then is ok to eat their meat, only after natural cause. of course this is not followed today.
In the mid 80's I worked in Greeley, Colorado as the Traffic Superintendent for the City. While there I hired dozens of temps for non-skilled jobs in the Traffic Division. One thing that stands out in my mind was the mind-set (if you will) of the people that came from a very large slaughter house in town and most had worked on the "killing" floors. They seemed emotionless and heartless or hardened to certain everyday projects. These folks never got along
@kopk888 I just meant that what they are doing is wrong. how would they feel if someone was hitting them like that. Not very great. I have been a vegetarian for some time now and it just makes me sad seeing animals treated so badly. I know that, not all people are going to stop eating meat, but I just wish that the animals could be treated better while getting ready for the process. do you understand? I am WAY better than them, because I would NEVER, EVER treat an animal like that! NEVER!
Just because SOME meat industry is cruel doesn't mean it all is... you're obviously biased and won't argue about the good sides in the industry... fuck animals. just eat them. they don't care that they're being killed for food.
people who go vegetarian so their not supporting the meat industry are sheep following the heard. im NOT vegetarian for my own reasons but how can you make a major life choice like that for any reason other than that you feel it will better yourself and make you healthier. sometimes i think vegetarianism is just another fad that you'll all drop as soon as it gets old.
@earthsoulful people who just follow the heard are the people that see the videos of animals being treated badly and boom their vegetarian to "save the animals". i can't really respect that. but the people who make the effort to do research and actually put thought into the decision and feel it will better themselves in the long run and make the switch as a healthier way of living in their opinion are the ones who arent and are doing what they feel is right. not just "oh boo hoo the animals..."
@sjjdiienno1 Who cares how people become vegetarian, or how quickly? It's still better for us all. I believe what this guy is saying. Popular culture may accept that the killing of other animals for our bloodlust is civil and proper. But just look at the anger that's coming out of these people who work in in these slaughter houses. You want to know why they are mad? It's because they can't stand the cries of torture coming from the animals, so they supress that with anger. Love is the solution.
In the end it won't matter if you wan't to be a vegetarian or not, because the current meat/dairy industry is unsustainable -- you will have no choice but to become a vegetarian. Meat prices will sky-rocket with the looming oil crisis and us Americans will be so poor that we won't be able to afford even the balls off of a cow.
My opinion is indiferent about this problem, because I like to eat meat, but I am no addicted to a barbecue, and it's indiferent for me. But Vegetarians if you study a little bit about biology you will see that a plant, such as letuce and other vegetables are life too. As meat is life from a animal, vegetables are biologically life too. So you can run away from this situation. Do you see the lion having pity of a deer while it eat it? No he need to feed himself. As we need too.
@Saitoshiba But that is what happens in the natural world. Yes the deer will also feel pain and suffering, but the lion can't really do anything about what it has. It only has its teeth and claws to kill its natural prey. Humans, however, with so much available technology and resources, proceed to slaughter and torture animals in order to gain the biggest profit. I am working towards becoming a vegetarian, and that is not because I don't WANT to eat meat, but because I don't want toSUPPORTtheind
Some people feel we're judging them but they don't realise that only very few people become veg because they want to be self righteous or take moral highground. That is a buy product of the frustration due to people's indifference. Thinking and acting selflessly has always been my motivation. Even the feeling of being judged, is still a self reflection, understandable as it is.. You reach greater awareness once you realise that your decisions impact others. The earth truly is interconnected.
This video only shows one side of the story. There are farms that raise their animals ethically and humanely. Conventional factory farming such that is shown in this video should be abolished.
@neimaD11 But we don't even need animal products to survive and thrive. Animal flesh is really second hand nourishment. So why not let them live and get our nourishment first hand?!?
@neimaD11 Maybe it shows only one side of the story, but it is a side that the public at large typically don't see or ignore. Most people are either not aware of the cruelty or factory farming or do not care because they value their own cravings higher than any consideration of the suffering of the animal that they eat. Its important to get the message out, so people have information. Then people can make decisions. Most decent people would agree that its unnecessary to inflict this suffering.
I became vegetarian 10 years ago after seeing footage like this from factory farms. If meat is not a necessary part of my diet, then I concluded I should not eat it due to the suffering of animals. Animals in factory farms are treated like people in concentration camps, and that has been frowned on for a long time. If we can lift the veil of ignorance as to the suffering of other beings, then more and more people will become vegetarian. The biggest problem with this planet is the human race.
i think theres nothing wrong with eating meat. The problem is the way the meat is brought to us.when we eat more meat more cows and pigs and e.t.c are born tortured and slaughtered, but i think if i go and kill the animal in nature with a rifle it`s not as bad.
@guitarhero666759 Your Right! Their is a machine to cut grass, a sheep needs to be slaughtered one at a time. More grass will be slain to a machine in a minuite than sheep by a person.
Everything should be consumed accordingly with their need.
I.E: Produce as needed. and don't let the edible parts go to waste.
its funny how humans care so much about the lifestock for food and dont give a shit about what is happening at war and the number of humans dieing fighting for their own country!
@italianbull7760 Well perhaps if people were to learn or to be raised sympathetic to all living things including animals. Perhaps if humans learned to be sympathetic and feel love and respect for other living things beyond themselves.. well perhaps war would not happen at all. and I can GUARENTEE you if it didn't END war it would definately lower the amount of people killed by it. Drastically. The reason there is war is because we are selfish and have no respect for other ideas or cultures
This guy presupposes that the life of an animal is at all requiring of respect and that taking the life of an animal is a bad thing. Taking the life of a human is a bad thing and humans are a lot better off not harming each other and cooperating, but if a human's life is better for taking the life an animal, who is a fellow human to judge? Being condescending and demonizing due to arbitrary value judgments is
In summary: who cares? Worry about humans and stop wasting your energy.
@StabbyRaccoon Isn't it an arbitrary value judgement also to assume that taking the life of a human is a bad thing? There are people who are raised with value systems that say it is wrong to take any life at all. For these people, taking an animal's life is as unthinkable as taking a human life. How is a value system that says a human's life is worth more any less arbitrarily assigned?
In the past, people used to think that taking the life of a black person was not the same...
@StabbyRaccoon (contd)...as taking the life of a white person. These were arbitrary value systems based on prejudice. Perhaps in the future we will find that, just as it is wrong to discriminate based on colour or facial features, it is also wrong to discriminate based on other things like being animal vs being human. Jeremy bentham and peter singer are utilitarian philosophers who promote the view that the interests of creatures should be given equal consideration based NOT on their capacity
@StabbyRaccoon ...to reason, or their intelligence level, or anything else, but only on their capacity to suffer. If something can suffer, it should be morally wrong to hurt it. It's appearance and intelligence should not have anything to do with it.
Just some food for thought. Also check out 'eating animals' by jonathon safran foer if you have the time. It turned me vegetarian.
why do vegitarians always talk about taking a life? plants are liveing things too how do you know they dont feel pain when you kill them? i understand ppl should kill animals in more humane ways but the excuse that meat is bad becasue of taking a life is ridiculus. will a bear think twice about your life when it decides to eat you ? no because thats life. i hate that ppl r always trying to call meat eaters crule or that we are killing deffensless animals. u r killing defensless plants.
@matos003md Plants have lower consciousness level. No matter how an animal is slaughtered (whether or not we see it as cruel) the animal ends up with a lot of fear and anxiety before it was killed. These emotions are stored in the organs of the animals as hormones or what have they and when people eat the flesh of that animal they eat the fear and anxiety as well.
@peace042008 the point is that vegitarians act so rightchios about saveing lives yet they still take them. and you can kill an animal quickly without letting it know its gonna die. my uncle raises his own chikens and kills them instanly without them even knowing how can you fear what you dont know.all im saying is vegies souldnt try and fource their beleifes on ppl who dont want them. and with the same reasons over and over.
@matos003md I don't see it from a cruelty point of view, but rather a "what's in it for me" approach. That you said "my uncle" means "not everyone". Would you like it if you were a chicken living in a cramped battery farm, even if you end up dying of a natural cause? The fear comes not from the moment of slaughtering, but from the instinct that one knows one will be killed. Just looking at the carnivores (lions e.g.) you can see a lot of fear, anxiety, anger and frustration in these animals.
@peace042008 supplement to my post: do you really think that the chickens in a cramped battery farm, e.g., are stupid enough not to know what their life purpose is, unless humans explicitly show them?
@peace042008 supplement to my post: do you really think that the chickens in a cramped battery farm, e.g., are stupid enough not to know what their life purpose is, unless humans explicitly show them?
@matos003md For me, I don't seeing from a compassion for others viewpoint. I look at how eating meal affects me instead and it does not matter whether others see it the same way. It's their choice. It's like telling an environment polluter not to pollute - they won't listen even if they are fined (they'll only see the fine as part of their business costs). Businesses only want to genuinely stop polluting unless the pollution affects them to the core. I'm stating my opinion for sharing only.
@matos003md I agree with you, nobody should force their beliefs or ideas on another, as food can be like religion too, same concepts different contexts.
This is standard procedure in the meat and dairy industries - animals not only suffering from castration, branding, innumerable painful procedures, but the workers getting frustrated (or pain sadistic) torturing the animals. Go VEGAN! It's an amazing lifestyle. I've never been healthier or happier!
Being VEGAN is the most beautiful and compassionate way of living. It's healthy, it's economic, it's environment friendly. Please stop all forms of animal cruelty! We are humans, the most intelligent animals. Our duty, as their parents, is to protect the innocent animals that cannot speak, not to murder them. Plant-based foods are the most richest sources of energy and it's very easy to substitute that piece of meat with tofu, beans and leafy green vegetables.
The USA has the most stringent standards with regards to raising and butchering animals for consumption than any other nation. I get the feeling those video clips were from many years ago, otherwise the USDA would shut them down. The bottom line is that man is supposed to have dominion over the animals--it's just the circle of life. If you're really concerned with the ethical treatment of these animals before they are killed, which is what this guy's main point seems to be, then go organic.
@shkee23 Yeah, this is probably a new computer generated video with sound effects to make it more dramatic. The current factory farm machine treats animals good and they play classical music all day for them, and they keep the animals in large cages to move about, and they let them play and run wild in the sun. Oh, and the earth is flat and Palin is the brightest woman to ever run for VP.
i'm not saying i support animal cruelty but animals eat animals. humans are animals. i'm just kinda saying that cruelty equals bad, meat equals delicious
How is that better for the animals?! I'm sure they're saying, "Oh yes, please let kill me after I've only lived a fraction of my life expectancy". Good grief!
@KvalnirFox read 'omnivore's dilemma'. Michael pollan. There's really not much difference between industrial organic farming practices and factory farms. Also even organic farmers send their cattle to the same slaughterhouses to be killed, and the accounts of how the kill-men abuse the animals before killing them is horrible. They stick electric prods in their eyes and cut off their noses and rub salt in the wounds. Practically, 'humane' slaughter on an industrial scale is impossible.
Getting people to change their eating habits will take a lot of work, work that has already begun. I notice change in grocery stores that carry more vegetarian and vegan products, in restaurants that offer more vegetarian and vegan dishes, and in friends who make small changes in their lives like giving up red meat, pork, and poultry. A complete overhaul will take time but we can all start by taking control and making changes in our own lives. That's where it has to start: with the consumer.
In my opinion, these are the top reasons why people eat animal products, even with awareness of where they come from:
1) We have been led to believe that they are necessary for a healthy diet and it's difficult to break out of that mind set when one message has been pounded into your head since birth
2) We're creatures of habit
3) We like the taste of them
4) It's convenient - at your average restaurant or social gathering, it's difficult to find an adequate, satisfying, vegan selection
@FM897 Tried a vegan diet mapped out extensively by a highly recommended vegan dietary technician, and almost suffered from malnutrition.
The vegan diet is healthy for some individuals, but not all individuals.
I went through a month and a half of vegan dieting and felt like shit five days in, and only got worse- lightheaded, weak, I lost weight from lack of nutrition, not a better metabolism, ect- another non-vegan doctor freaked when he saw me, told me to drop it immediately. -c
-c I went back to fast food and my regular diet- veggies on the side w/ meat and fish, and even dropped the vitamins.. and instead Iearned by body and health- I did 30 crunches a day and aerobics every day, before bed, and in tow months my body was toned, healthy, I've never felt better, and lost 40 lbs and.. my doctor says I'm in excellent health overall.
It works for some people, but not all, and forcing/guilting/manipulating everyone into a vegan diet is immoral and dangerous.
this dude literally made me become vegan.

AlbertaBeefy 3 weeks ago
Fucking idiots thats what you all are. We are omnivores and don't give me that shit about taking a life. Its nature, Animals eat animals. And this dude is showing videos of indeed not well treated animals for meat. But that thos NOT happen everywhere. Just buy meat off animals that had a good life.
Koenstuurwold0 1 month ago
@Koenstuurwold0 Yeah, just like its nature to kill each other apparently, so if another holocause starts im sure you will be fine with it, because after all, its in our nature right?

@BiddaBiddaCherryPie Animals EAT animals!! We did it 300.000 years ago and are still doing it. Killing eachother in a holocaust has nothing to with eating animals for food. Are you really that retarted?
Koenstuurwold0 1 month ago
@Koenstuurwold0 No, we started doing it around 100-50 thousand years ago, and it has a hell of a lot to do with it. Once we viewed black people as inferior and treat them like we still treat animals, its all a matter of perspective. But using the argument "its in our nature" is just fucking pathetic, its in our nature to kill, steal, rape and pillage, yet the average person managed to avoid them actions, and plenty of people survive without meat, so its hardly in our nature is it
BiddaBiddaCherryPie 1 month ago
@BiddaBiddaCherryPie I am not talking about the holocaust. I am talking about eating animals 300.000 years ago. I never said killing humans is in or nature. But eating other animals is. If you compare the holocaust with eating animals you are a fucking idiot. I keep enjoining my meat :D
Koenstuurwold0 1 month ago
@Koenstuurwold0 Your a fucking idiot, you think we ate meat 300,000 years ago, and killing humans apparently is in our nature, hence war. Maybe you should pay attention in a science class and you might learn something, look at our biology, we are not supposed to be eating meat, 100,000 years is not time to evolve a whole new diet you tit.

haridham 1 month ago
@BiddaBiddaCherryPie wow, such vitriol.
AlbertaBeefy 3 weeks ago
@AlbertaBeefy I dont deny we ate meat in the ice age. However all related animals to us, Chimps, Gorillas ect eat vegan food unless there is a severe lack of food. And why if we were supposed to eat meat do we show no methods of attacks any predator naturally? We are weak, have no natural attack mechanisms, no sharp teeth, claws, we are fairly slow in regards to running. And the fact that why cant eat meat raw without cooking it, and thats its entirely un-appetising to us raw.
BiddaBiddaCherryPie 3 weeks ago
@BiddaBiddaCherryPie actually, monkeys, chimps and gorillas (and other primates) all eat meat. They even cannibalize, and not just during lack of food. Some anthropologists actually believe they prize meat. You're just wrong on that one.
As for your other arguments, because we're omnivores, not predatory carnivores. We don't need to stalk/hunt and kill with canines/claws etc. Your arguments come from vegan propaganda, not science.
AlbertaBeefy 3 weeks ago
@AlbertaBeefy That is incorrect. Gorillas do NOT eat meat and what particular species of monkey are you suggesting eats meat?
FletcherHabit 3 weeks ago
@FletcherHabit A recent National Geographic article suggests they do eat meat. Jane Goodall's site has the information as well, though says it needs further study.
Chimps and monkeys are well documented as eating meat in numerous places including showing it quite graphically on youtube videos. Do some digging and provide some evidence before claiming people are wrong.
The preponderance of evidence is clear on this one. Primates eat meat.

Thankyou animal-rights guy for (somewhat) agreeing with me.
All of this pain and suffering in the meat industry is one reason I would prefer not to eat the meat found in shops.
This is one good reason why I am a hunter, by going out into nature, stalking and killing my own prey it gives me the satisfaction of knowing that the animal I'm eating lived it's life exactly as nature intended, not being caged up and eating it's natural diet until the food chain and cycle of life are completed by that
dksmith605 5 months ago
@dksmith605 First off, animals are not "it's"; they are he's and she's. Second, it is WRONG to murder other living beings for the selfish pleasure and taste of their flesh. They have a right to be here, too, and to live their full natural lives without any interference from us. You cause just as much suffering and violation of rights in stalking and killing them as on factory farms, although it may not be as prolonged--GO VEGAN!!
Lisamarie1968 4 months ago
@dksmith605 I agree with you. Either you catch it yourself or you grow it yourself. That's the only way you can ensure the animal receives as humane a treatment as possible. People have become too separated from their food - it breeds apathy, desensitization and an "automatic mode" mentality.

Humans are 100% herbivore.
We chew in a circle motion (like herbivore animals) not in a clamping motion (like carnivorous animals).
duckcluck123 5 months ago 4
@duckcluck123 I am a vegan but you are not correct. We are omnivores and any scientist will tell you this. This argument devalues all of our efforts. You need to accept that humans are capable of consuming SMALL AMOUNTS of animal protein. The problem is that everyone abuses this.. Also, the way our food is processed now is so different than how it was intended. Humans have evolved beyond this need and have other sources.. but to say we are herbivores is a disservice.
carogreyify 5 months ago
@carogreyify I don't know where you get the idea that humans are omnivore but that is NOT correct--we are HERBivores! Also, just because we can consume animal protein doesn't mean that we should; regardless of whether an animal slave is fed antibiotics and hormones or not it is BAD for us, and we also have to think about the animals' rights that are being violated here, too, by being enslaved and exploited.

Humans are not.
supernatural119 5 months ago
@supernatural119 We cook the meat, because it's much more tasty when cooked.
We can eat raw meat, only if the animal is freshly killed...the meat we buy at the strore is matured (to tenderise it)...

plojka1 9 months ago
It is wrong to kill animals when you have a good supply of plant foods. However, if your environment only allows you access to animal foods then you must eat that to survive. The most important thing is that your food is organic. Meat should be grass-fed, free-range, drug-free. Milk should be raw, whole, and unhomogenized. Plant-based diet with mostly raw food is the best diet as the evidence has shown though.
organicsunhealth 9 months ago
life is complicated. why send animals to death camps? We do not need to eat meat, that is that.
BlackCoffee382 9 months ago
I dont think that chimps eating monkeys while they are still alive are treating those monkeys with respect.
When dolphins round up an entire school of sardines and slowly finish off the entire school, is that respectful?
There is an order of animals and some just happen to be food but no animal wants to be food. So the "feelings" of that animal is not imperative to the animal that is going to eat it.
If that were the case no animal would be a predator. But you know thats not the case.
chubbypekingnese 10 months ago
@chubbypekingnese As humans, and by some people's standards better than just any animal, smarter and compassionate, isn't it our job to take care of other creatures? What they do is their business but we have a choice. We can understand their pain, or continue to ignore it by saying "well they're doing it! Why can't I?" Of course, I get where you are coming from, but there is always another side to things to consider
Zirumi 8 months ago
@Zirumi This coming from a person who hunts?... Dont think you have the high ground here.
Im just more honest about how I feel about eating meat.
Im not saying hunting is bad. Im just saying that I cant take the high road if I do what Im saying is bad.
Im not saying that we shouldnt be more conscious about where we get are food but thats why Im totally fine with farming.
Good luck with "trying" to be a vegan.
chubbypekingnese 8 months ago
@chubbypekingnese Animals have a natural order. Some animals eat other animals, some don't. Humans are not natural carnivores , although we can digest small amounts of meat in survival situations without causing harm to our bodies. The way humans eat meat on this planet now is totally un-natural and cannot be sustained. Factory farms are a low point in the dignity of the human race.
MrMazins1 7 months ago
@MrMazins1 "Low point in the dignity of the human race"? What the hell does that even mean?
Man isnt a carnivore. Man is omnivorous. We required both meat and plants to survive.
Now I am aware that some people are so fortunate that they have the means to where they can go out and purchase items to substitute their need for meat in their diet. Not everyone can do that.
Im not going to put down anyone who cant afford to be on a vegan diet.
I say eat what you like.
chubbypekingnese 7 months ago
@chubbypekingnese Have you ever been to a factory farm, or seen footage? There are millions of vegans on earth who are living very healthy lives without any animals in their diet. Why do you think that meat has to be substituted? There are no nutrients in meat that cannot be gained from a 100% plant -based diet. Meat is not needed in the diet of a human to survive .
Also, a plant -based diet is no more expensive than a meat based one.
You are obviously lacking in research on the matter.
MrMazins1 7 months ago
@MrMazins1 If you are correct that meat is no more expensive then why do you think it is so hard for you to get your message out that meat is so bad?
If it was simply a choice with both diets being the same as far as cost. Why do you think that most people chose to eat meat?
Ive seen footage of slaughter houses and Im just glad that I sit on the top of the food chain.
Your diet is a luxery that eons of eating meat has afforded you.

i believe in the bible it says that its actually ok to eat meat, thing is, we as a people today do not follow bible code. it sates after the grate flood that god allows us to eat meat in a responsible way which we do not follow. thing is, we are suppose to allow the animal live freely, out doors and have the best life we can give them, when they age and eventually die, it then is ok to eat their meat, only after natural cause. of course this is not followed today.

@sjjdiienno1 How is it "following the herd" to become vegetarian? Most people are meat eaters not vegans.
earthsoulful 1 year ago
@earthsoulful people who just follow the heard are the people that see the videos of animals being treated badly and boom their vegetarian to "save the animals". i can't really respect that. but the people who make the effort to do research and actually put thought into the decision and feel it will better themselves in the long run and make the switch as a healthier way of living in their opinion are the ones who arent and are doing what they feel is right. not just "oh boo hoo the animals..."
sjjdiienno1 1 year ago

EddieRek 1 year ago
My opinion is indiferent about this problem, because I like to eat meat, but I am no addicted to a barbecue, and it's indiferent for me. But Vegetarians if you study a little bit about biology you will see that a plant, such as letuce and other vegetables are life too. As meat is life from a animal, vegetables are biologically life too. So you can run away from this situation. Do you see the lion having pity of a deer while it eat it? No he need to feed himself. As we need too.
Saitoshiba 1 year ago

This video only shows one side of the story. There are farms that raise their animals ethically and humanely. Conventional factory farming such that is shown in this video should be abolished.
neimaD11 1 year ago
@neimaD11 But we don't even need animal products to survive and thrive. Animal flesh is really second hand nourishment. So why not let them live and get our nourishment first hand?!?
DigitalPraise7 1 year ago
@neimaD11 Maybe it shows only one side of the story, but it is a side that the public at large typically don't see or ignore. Most people are either not aware of the cruelty or factory farming or do not care because they value their own cravings higher than any consideration of the suffering of the animal that they eat. Its important to get the message out, so people have information. Then people can make decisions. Most decent people would agree that its unnecessary to inflict this suffering.
pantherz9103 1 year ago
Of course we all think this is wrong but we're not going to give up eating all meat because of it.
darkstar3x16 1 year ago
I became vegetarian 10 years ago after seeing footage like this from factory farms. If meat is not a necessary part of my diet, then I concluded I should not eat it due to the suffering of animals. Animals in factory farms are treated like people in concentration camps, and that has been frowned on for a long time. If we can lift the veil of ignorance as to the suffering of other beings, then more and more people will become vegetarian. The biggest problem with this planet is the human race.

i think theres nothing wrong with eating meat. The problem is the way the meat is brought to us.when we eat more meat more cows and pigs and e.t.c are born tortured and slaughtered, but i think if i go and kill the animal in nature with a rifle it`s not as bad.

guitarhero666759 1 year ago
@guitarhero666759 Your Right! Their is a machine to cut grass, a sheep needs to be slaughtered one at a time. More grass will be slain to a machine in a minuite than sheep by a person.
Everything should be consumed accordingly with their need.
I.E: Produce as needed. and don't let the edible parts go to waste.
Plus, happy animals taste better!

StabbyRaccoon 1 year ago
@StabbyRaccoon Isn't it an arbitrary value judgement also to assume that taking the life of a human is a bad thing? There are people who are raised with value systems that say it is wrong to take any life at all. For these people, taking an animal's life is as unthinkable as taking a human life. How is a value system that says a human's life is worth more any less arbitrarily assigned?
In the past, people used to think that taking the life of a black person was not the same...
katharagama 1 year ago
@StabbyRaccoon (contd)...as taking the life of a white person. These were arbitrary value systems based on prejudice. Perhaps in the future we will find that, just as it is wrong to discriminate based on colour or facial features, it is also wrong to discriminate based on other things like being animal vs being human. Jeremy bentham and peter singer are utilitarian philosophers who promote the view that the interests of creatures should be given equal consideration based NOT on their capacity
katharagama 1 year ago
@StabbyRaccoon ...to reason, or their intelligence level, or anything else, but only on their capacity to suffer. If something can suffer, it should be morally wrong to hurt it. It's appearance and intelligence should not have anything to do with it.
Just some food for thought. Also check out 'eating animals' by jonathon safran foer if you have the time. It turned me vegetarian.
katharagama 1 year ago
why do vegitarians always talk about taking a life? plants are liveing things too how do you know they dont feel pain when you kill them? i understand ppl should kill animals in more humane ways but the excuse that meat is bad becasue of taking a life is ridiculus. will a bear think twice about your life when it decides to eat you ? no because thats life. i hate that ppl r always trying to call meat eaters crule or that we are killing deffensless animals. u r killing defensless plants.

@matos003md Plants have lower consciousness level. No matter how an animal is slaughtered (whether or not we see it as cruel) the animal ends up with a lot of fear and anxiety before it was killed. These emotions are stored in the organs of the animals as hormones or what have they and when people eat the flesh of that animal they eat the fear and anxiety as well.
peace042008 1 year ago
@peace042008 the point is that vegitarians act so rightchios about saveing lives yet they still take them. and you can kill an animal quickly without letting it know its gonna die. my uncle raises his own chikens and kills them instanly without them even knowing how can you fear what you dont know.all im saying is vegies souldnt try and fource their beleifes on ppl who dont want them. and with the same reasons over and over.
matos003md 1 year ago

I've never been healthier or happier!
pamelawhitmore 1 year ago

If you're really concerned with the ethical treatment of these animals before they are killed, which is what this guy's main point seems to be, then go organic.
shkee23 1 year ago
@shkee23 Yeah, this is probably a new computer generated video with sound effects to make it more dramatic. The current factory farm machine treats animals good and they play classical music all day for them, and they keep the animals in large cages to move about, and they let them play and run wild in the sun. Oh, and the earth is flat and Palin is the brightest woman to ever run for VP.

How is that better for the animals?! I'm sure they're saying, "Oh yes, please let kill me after I've only lived a fraction of my life expectancy". Good grief!
TribalVegan 1 year ago
@KvalnirFox Organic meat is still murder, anyway you taste it.
truth2748 1 year ago 3

FM897 1 year ago
In my opinion, these are the top reasons why people eat animal products, even with awareness of where they come from:
1) We have been led to believe that they are necessary for a healthy diet and it's difficult to break out of that mind set when one message has been pounded into your head since birth
2) We're creatures of habit
3) We like the taste of them
4) It's convenient - at your average restaurant or social gathering, it's difficult to find an adequate, satisfying, vegan selection
FM897 1 year ago
@FM897 Tried a vegan diet mapped out extensively by a highly recommended vegan dietary technician, and almost suffered from malnutrition.
The vegan diet is healthy for some individuals, but not all individuals.
I went through a month and a half of vegan dieting and felt like shit five days in, and only got worse- lightheaded, weak, I lost weight from lack of nutrition, not a better metabolism, ect- another non-vegan doctor freaked when he saw me, told me to drop it immediately. -c
RyddelIsFree 1 year ago
-c I went back to fast food and my regular diet- veggies on the side w/ meat and fish, and even dropped the vitamins.. and instead Iearned by body and health- I did 30 crunches a day and aerobics every day, before bed, and in tow months my body was toned, healthy, I've never felt better, and lost 40 lbs and.. my doctor says I'm in excellent health overall.
It works for some people, but not all, and forcing/guilting/manipulating everyone into a vegan diet is immoral and dangerous.
