  • Hi... Nice cover and I'm commenting to give you my opinion on this cover. There are some wrong notes played in the verse though. I think you SHOULD(not a must) give more of a staccato to the verse D# D C A#. Gives more of a funky feel to it. Amazing cover btw.

  • Hey, ive got exactly the same bass. It sounds great but there is one problem. The bass is not balanced. The neck drops. Do you have the same problem?

  • what do you feel about this bass? is it easy to play?

  • Awesome. Don't care about the 'wrong' octave. It's not wrong, just different.

  • U suc

  • dude.. you're playing it wrong..

  • Nice playing man but you're playing the end of the verse wrong. After you play the octave starting on 1st fret on the low E followed by 3rd fret on the D you're supposed to go down to the 6th fret on the A string and play the octave there... If that makes sense?

  • If thats a yamaha i have the exact same bass. my d strings buzzes unbearably now though

  • @yemenohman Fix the truss rod ?

  • @magnusdeus123 umm... not exactly its on the body by the neck right?

  • @yemenohman Yeah, look for the little hole with a screw inside it, near the nut at the top of the neck.

  • @magnusdeus123 use a screwdriver?

  • im in love with that bass guitar. That orange metalic is lovely and the sound of this bb is incredible!

I guarentee that the bb414 sounds better than guitars costing 3 times the price..and it will easily rival the noted best bass guitars in tthe world.

    Go Yamaha!

  • Pop sucks, they called MJ the "king of pop" but the music he makes for me is far from pop. :D

  • After the F octave it goes up to Eb not Bb

  • more practics

  • those BB414's are soooo cool in the orange!

  • Yup, they really kick ass :)

I just tried one at the local music strore, I think I fell in love with it :)

  • Look at the B Deck on here, shows what it can do.

If you haven't already that is.

  • Thank you for the answer MITCHWILD.

I didn't know this model and it looks terrific.

  • Yes it does, i may get one myself as a practice amp.

  • In june I bought a BB614 after having seen this video and i thank you for it.

I like its shape a lot.

    Mine is Yellow Natural though.

Can you recommend an amp for practice at home ? i'm a beginner.

  • Easy answer to that! Fender do a great practice amp called the B Deck, it has all sorts of tricks that helps you learn different bass rhythms.

and essential is a headphone output, so you can use it all night long, and it's output is 30 Watt's, plenty for home use.

  • I like bb style

  • non sai fare niente

  • im pretty sure you need to play that last note in the verse a semi-tone up

  • the bass is funky as the rest of the instruments and singer its for sure a funky music and its not pop.

and to me pop isnt a genre of music because it doesnt anything charateristique

  • i love your cover dude, very funky :)

  • the last chord in the verse is wrong

  • Very inspiring to see funk played without slaps..lol.

    Great Job!!

  • See..I don't get that...if it sounds like funk then it's funk. If it walks and quacks like a duck, it's for damn sure not a elephant. Besides, pop isn't a real genre to me, but hey, to each is own. Thanks

  • No disrepsect, but your point is pointLESS without a explanation...why is it pop? And ultimately if I feel funk, then it's funk...no rights and wrongs with music bro.

  • dude what! That guitar is so funky cant you here it just lightly clipping away behind everything else

  • I really like the color of this bass. What would that be,Sienna perhaps?

  • Close. It's not as dark to be honest. Yamaha just calls it 'orange' though. :P

  • Wrong bassline in the verse :)

    Nice try anyway

  • eh ?

  • Why dont you put up the perfect version of the song, i'd be interested in that.

  • what sort of amp do you use, please can you say?

  • i've always wanted to play bass, for about 15 years. I finally bought one and my damn hands are too small!!! : ( lol

    I'll just stick with piano

  • Your hands are too small? Impossible, Your bass is too big dude, try a shortscale bass, sounds about the same :]

  • No such thing. Just have to develop your own technique.

There was a guitarplayer, can't remember his name, but i think you can see him here on Youtube. He missed three off his fingers and played only with the thump and the indexfinger. He was one off the fastest guitarplayers ever lived. As I recall.

    So don't give up :)

  • django?

  • That's what I thought, but I found it just as hard for a person with small hands to play the piano just as the bass..so I just kept playing both.

  • These Dudes are just born to keep the funk!

  • I like how you put your own fever into it

  • almost there bro! but ur really good! keep at it!!!

  • This is 4 10 stars : )

  • its the jamaha BB614L, ive got the same one,

only that its a lefty and black.

Really nice, i wasnt aware of this song but i think im gonna learn it now, too^^

  • it is the BB414

  • Nice playing! What kind of bass is that?

  • That was some sweet playing dude. Nicely done! =)

  • i like your technique man sweet sound

  • Thanks man. Appreciate that.

  • oh yeah love that bass sound

  • Thanks.

  • yeah, nice !

  • GREAT!

  • Nice man...im also trying to play it...tnx for guide :)
