  • I wish BBC makes these Yes Minister Videos available for purchase for download for say USD 2 each episode or a little more. I know there are CDs and DVDs of this series available on Amazon. But I am never going to buy DRM crap again. I am never going to buy CDs or DVDs again except blank ones to backup what I download. The world has moved on to downloaded videos. Its time BBC started profiting from that and not wait for DVD sales.

  • What is that costume? and why he speaks English with an Indian accent?

  • Now they need to string the clip together with "Mr Haig calling"

  • Pretty lame.

  • BLLILLIANT kk

  • Arabs without mustache or beard loool

  • Typically, the corruptible always enter government. It's the sort of environment that attracts such people, just as they would be attracted to organized crime. Indeed, if one were to lock up and/or execute everyone in government, criminality would drop considerably.

  • ive heard that the government denies that this is realistic. but people that have worked for the government insist that its just like this

  • Ah, it's very hard to understand it for me...

  • Lmao. I love British humor. I need to watch this.

  • This is comedy gold, when comedians really knew how to take the piss out of the political establishment, and get it bang on the money.

  • the series with the best script ever!!!!!!

  • Whay do the media make arabs look stupid ????

  • Whoops I meant to say "that"( that's for you word nazis with no intellect)

  • Ha Ha HA don't let the minister Know what everyone else knows. Tat sounds like bullshit.

  • Oh dear we seem to have some idiots here. It's comedy from decades ago - not a documentary that was on last week....

  • LOOL great scene!!:DDD

  • Not funny

  • I think this is just brilliant. Great stuff!

  • This is so relevant.

  • It wasn't as funny as their usual, but it was still interesting.

  • @abos4lem ad u bastard don\t bother to reply bcz me blocking u u pig...

  • its satirical comedy guys get over yourselves.

  • As relevant now, as it was then. The Yes, (Prime) Minister series are truly one of the absolute cornerstones of political satire.

  • and disappointingly unfunny coming from the brits

  • You know.. We live less than less than 12 hours from the UK. You have troops training in bases in the middle east for decades now and theres as much Arabs in london as there are indians... well not nearly but theres a shit ton of us......And you still dont know how we dress..Nor can you get the accent correct..This is just how u pictured arabs back in the 60's.. educate urselves plz .. Shows how alien the arab world is to the west and why they take decisions to bomb us so lightly..

  • @selfsenter I second that.

  • @selfsenter

thank you for your well respond

  • @selfsenter The english are too arrogant to learn anything about other cultures. They think they are the best lol!

  • @florencelovme we are :)

  • @CptFlasheart the only thing youre good at is drug and alcohol abuse. youre the experts on that! self centred uneducated morons = english culture. you invented tyranny too! I hope every nation conspires against you and bomb you. you deserve it.

  • @florencelovme actually were good at pretty much everything, we've invented most of the modern world, we created the modern democratic system, our schools are some of the the best in the world... were not particularly self centred, relatively modest to be honest. And excellent sports. where are you from then??

  • @CptFlasheart "actually were good at pretty much everything" LOL! I couldnt read after that sentence. your comment is going to waste so dont even bother to reply. you need to get kicked in the head to get a grip. MORON.

  • @florencelovme bring it on web ninja...you know it's true. we invented computers, the internet for gods sake; wasted on you, evidently...

  • @florencelovme We also invented the light bulb, contrary to popular beleif. Good luck reading in the dark my freind.

  • @florencelovme Where are you from?

  • @florencelovme Next time you see a bridge, or an engineering marvel, don't use it. Because it was most likely designed by a brit.

Also I am truly sorry for all the hardship we caused in the persian empire, the nazi empire and the roman empire. We definately shoudn't have done those things. Bad Britain. No more tyranny.

  • @florencelovme Hahaha. no.

  • @florencelovme

Compared to one that has Sharia Law? Without a fucking doubt.

  • @selfsenter Wasn't this broadcast in like, 1980?

  • @selfsenter What the fuck, you equate the ignorance of an average person with a reason to bomb? This was broadcast fucking years ago you apologist creep.

  • @Surells

Why you so angry bro? Go watch a hollywood from 2011 that portrays Arabs. or even a recent British movie production... It doesnt matter when it was shot, its all the same comical depiction of a man in a robe..cant even get the dress code correct after centuries of acquaintance.

  • @selfsenter Whether Brits stereotype Arabs, that we could debate on, though i don't think there are any recent British films that do this. In fact the opposite is true. Why you reference American films I don't know, we're not the same country. But that's not what makes me made. The statement: 'Shows how alien the arab world is to the west and why they take decisions to bomb us so lightly.' is what makes me mad. Your logic is appalling.

  • @selfsenter

    Video looks pretty old.

And it's also meant to just be comedy.

    Stop taking everything so seriously.

Also there are still people dressed like that, for traditional reasons...

  • @selfsenter This is from the 1980's don't get you nickers in a twist. You're reinforcing the most apparent stereotype that every disagreement over the most trivial things ends with a bomb.

  • @BSEmadcow

If the British declared war on Greece or Spain tomorrow, you think the foot soldiers would shoot them? or the highest army ranks themselves. The entire nation would stand firmly against such a war especially when the justification is not 100% clear.

Get real here, you never see normal Arabs from the core middle east depicted accurately as another culture. Its always a skewed humorous or threatening image..This gets ingrained into peoples minds creating apathy towards X

  • @selfsenter it's comedy! we all know that around the world there is injustice and crazy politicians... just try to enjoy it :) All of the cultures are interesting

  • @selfsenter You do know this was a comedy program broadcast in the 70s and 80s don't you, specifically designed to accentuate certain stereotyped traits of the characters in the episodes for comic effect? So, naturally the Arab is robe wearing, smarmy and corrupt, and the English 'establishment' is portrayed as either drunk, disorderly and oblivious, or suit wearing, smarmy and corrupt. Comedy is about stereotypes, and it challenges them. Therefore the Arab dress is entirely appropriate.

  • @selfsenter you lost the war haha
