  • sigh.... first off that was quite disrespectful of that lady to leave. Buddha is not said to be a God, at the in of most prayer we say Namu Amida Buddha which is basically say that he is/was not supernatural he was just a normal person like us. 2nd the waitress was even more disrespectful just being ignorant of practice and tradition of the people whose land they are inhabiting.

  • Funny Jesus freeks

  • Indian religions are quite different from Western ones. In Abrahamic faiths the God DEMANDS absolute obedience and submission, lest he tortures them in hell..In Dharmic religions there is no concept of blasphemy, fear of god, sin (absolute), apostasy, judgement, hellfire etc etc...So it really doesn't matter whether you bow or not or choose to regard a belief or not. Gautam Buddha himself was a heterodox and a spiritual atheist who advised people to choose reason and logic over blind dogmatism.

  • Im not religous but have a relationship with jesus christ. Gosh sounds religous to be hahah HAte religous christians in denial

  • Buddhist don't require bowing to their Buddha. Certain temples might expect you too if they think you're there to take part rather than watch

-from an ex-christian spiritualist/agnostic who lives with a Buddhist family in a temple.

  • Lord Buddha (God's human n teacher) actually no need human to bow, HE need us to hv d "Right View" of this world in this universe, HE never asked we Buddhist to make statue also, it's symbolic, wad's more n more important are Meditation (best worship) etc Compassion Kindness Unconditional Love Care and Peace, like if u agree, plz read tq, may our Mind n heart surrounding by happiness, dun be a frog in a shell, dun believe simply even Lord Buddha said, that's real Buddhism.

  • @JirayuChai you do not need to bow,to worship the majjhima nikaya states the true worship is following the dhamma, bowing and other things tend to a be ritual with no emotion, only when u do it with true love is it not forced uipon ritual.also the same with images. peace and love

  • there is no expectation or desire in buddhism to worship, kneel, or bow to an effigy, let alone any THING.

  • She did nothing disrespectfull. She did not disrupt anything. One should never bow to something they don't believe in or think is right. Real buddhists would not require one to do so. She respected the others there by being quiet. I still have to sit through family religious church crap sometimes. Funerals, Weddings. I just sit respectfully, but decline and refuse participation in the rest of it.

  • @heartfire451 yet the host understood the different faiths, so why did she make a big deal out of it. She shouldn't have come.

  • @heartfire451

U miss the point. It was a test, to test if u can force yourself to do something u don't believe in. The woman fail the test.

  • She was wrong, she was only required to pay respect to others beliefs, not to worship the Buddha. He isnt a God. But it shows that Christianity aswell as Buddhism is full of bullshit rituals. True Buddhism requires no rules.

  • That woman is suffering because there are too much attachments in that lady ;{

  • What this woman did was right. I am Buddhist, but these monks aren't. Guatama predicted Nichiren's birth as the coming of the next Buddha. Anyone who isn't Nichiren Buddhist isn't Buddhist at all.

  • Christians and others need to understand something important. Bowing to the Buddha is not like bowing to the Christ. Christ is the son of God, Buddha is not, nor is he a deity in the same sense as Christ is the fleshly incarnation of God. We have nothing to worship. We pray, bow, give offerings, and recite mantras because what goes on out there is what I want to go on in me.

But I understand her unwillingness to bow before Buddha. There is some confusion, and I don't take offense to it.

  • @BodhiGamer we are to bow before the Lord Buddha to worship the Lord Buddha, worship of the Lord Buddha the higher being is in all Buddhistr scriptures, also u are right the Lord Buddha isnt a god he is the teacher of all gods and living beings, why do u say the buddha is nothings????u have NOTHING to worship?where in Buddhist scriptures did u get the Buddha was NOTHING??

  • @Buddhist1986 We don't worship anything about the Gautama Buddha. Worship is devotion directed towards a deity. Nowhere in Dharmic scripture does it explicitly make reference to the Buddha as being a deity. The image of the Buddha is there so that we may pay respects to our teacher, and as the Buddha has all of the qualities that a Buddhist wishes to obtain, it reminds us that we must learn and have the Buddha's qualities, his virtue. In that manner, Buddhism is, at its heart, atheist.

  • @BodhiGamer actually i could quote dharmic scripture all down this page where the Lord Buddha is worshiped in both the pali canon and mahayana sutras,GOOGLE the BUddha is TEACHER OF GODS AND MEN and ALL LIVING beings(cant be atheist if u have gods in ur relgion this is refuted)Buddhists are not atheists we have MANY gods and they WORSHIP the Lord Buddha do you need dharmic texts??

  • @BodhiGamer (CONT)MAJJHIMA NIKAYA angulimala sutta 86 verse 6 "the bandit WORSHIPED the sublime ones feet" the Buddha is the HIGHER BEING MAJJHIMA NIKAYA exposistion of truths141)the Buddha rolls the matchless wheel which cannot be stopped by ANY GOD or DEVIL or BRAHAMA(highest god)or anyone in the world=how can we be atheists if we beleive the Buddha is higher than any god?MN mahavacchagotta sutta 73"vacchagotta pays homange with head to the Buddha feet the Lord Buddha has been WORSHIPED BY ME

  • @BodhiGamer (CONT)MN (the greater discourse of the lions roar sutta 12) the Lord Buddha taught in dharmic suttas that their are 5 destination of rebirth HELL,animal realm, ghosts, humans and last GODS these are realms of REBIRTH the Lord Buddha said he was the teacher of GODS and ALL living beings this goes to show u who the higher being is for the buddha is HIGHER than ALL living beings.also if u read this sutta he WALKS ON WATER and FLYS IN SPACE.

  • @BodhiGamer (CONT)DIGHA NIKAYA what the brahamna didnt know sutta 11) a monk goes to ALL the realms of gods to get them to answer a question finially ALL the gods tell him to go to the HIGHEST GOD the great brahma which the HIGHEST GOD tell the monk that he doesnt know the answer & ONLY the Buddha could answer this question showing the Lord Buddha is HIGHER BEING DN 29 the Buddha is the RULER OF ALL,DN 16 after he dies they worship his relics,DN sutta 4 the Buddha is "revered & WORSHIPED by them

  • @BodhiGamer "We don't worship anything about the Gautama Buddha. Worship is devotion directed towards a deity. Nowhere in Dharmic scripture does it explicitly make reference to the Buddha as being a deity"well the Lord Buddha wasnt a deity he was TEACHER OF ALL DEITIES(gods), Buddhism is, at its heart, atheist.since when do atheists beleive in gods??(brhama/saka/indra)and since when do athiests beleive GODS worship their teacher(Buddha)??

  • @BodhiGamer (CONT) here is ur dharmic scritpture that states the Lord Budha is teacher of GODS and all living beings which preoves we are NOT atheists(since atheists dont beleive in the existance of gods)also this shows u that the Buddha is the HIGHEST BEING who is woprshiped by all living beings these are from the pali canon i can find more in the mahayana canon if u like?

  • @Buddhist1986 If you would be kind to point out where in the Pali Canon that is. I'll look it up in my translated edition. As for the Buddha expressing himself as a God, he never did so. In Mahayana he is venerated and viewed as the manifestation of Nirmanakaya, as are all previous Buddhas. Therevada differs on this, viewing the mystical aspects of the Buddha as being descriptive of his importance, but does not hold Buddha as anything more than a man.

  • @BodhiGamer point out where in the pali canon it is?i gave u the nikaya, the sutta and the chapter in the book what else do u need????the Buddha isnt a god BUT the TEACHER OF GODS hence higher than gods also the Lord Buddha is GOD OF GODS LOTUS SUTRA chapt parable of the magic city Buddha is "HOLY LORD KING among GODS" LS ist chapt introductory Buddha is the last,THE GOD OF GODS(epithet title)LS chapter 16 the Lord Buddha is LEADER OF ALL CFREATURES,GODS,MEN DRAGONS SPIRITS,ALL worship him

  • @BodhiGamer (CONT)like i said the Buddha didnt exspress himself as god he said he was HIGHER than a GOD,and GODS are LOWER and the GODS WORSHIP the LORD BUDDHA.also yamantaka doesnt mean anything to me the wrathful deity aspect is apart of shadevata worship(hindu trantras) also know as varajrayan or lamaism(tibetan Buddhism is a sexual perversion of actual Buddhism and mahyana and thervadan suttas/sutras state sexual meditaion is wrong views and wrong meditation.

  • @Buddhist1986 Tatagatha, God and human teacher, who help people from every realm in this universe, n also our world.

  • @Buddhist1986 And even in Mahayana, the wrathful aspect of Yamantaka is present. He who defeats the Lord of Death, and tramples upon gods and idols. If you are in Mahayana, Yamantaka is very important to you. When we transcend gods and idols, and seek the wisdom of the aspects of the Bodhisattva and the clear analytical wisdom of the Buddha, then we become Yamantaka. In other words, transcend the image of the Buddha. Buddhism is not rigorous religious determinism nor archaic God-worship.

  • @BodhiGamer LS15'ALL COME TO WORSHIP THE BUDDHA"LS chapt 12 the Buddha "he who ALL gods and men look up to and ALL species of living beings DO WORSHIP AND HONOR, LS chapt 7,ABLE TO SAVE ALL,GREAT TEACHER OF GODS AND MEN hae has compassion for ALL the living in thr universes.LS chapt 5 "I AM TRGHE ALL KNOWING<ALL SEEING,precher of the way COME TO ME ALL YOU GODS,MENAnd ASURAS,to hear the law.the Buddha even says to WORSHIP the BUddhas do u need the verses???

  • I love being buddhist! <3

  • I am not a Christian or have relationship with Jesus, but if I am in the church I would bow to Jesus,

show some respect you bitch, cunt , whore.

  • I am Buddhist, but would have done the same. Nichiren Daishonin called these older Buddhist sects heretical, because they did not follow the path of Buddhism by following the practice demanded for The Third Age.

  • in fact, she did the right thing, she choose to be disliked by people in China to uphold her faith.

  • You should respect others even if you don't believe, what if somebody did the same, walk out halfway during the service, you will said they are rude.

  • I think the bowing was another form of a handshake. But this lady has her Biblical glasses on and relates it to worship. Shouldn't Jesus or god know her true intentions? This is what the Bible has to say about women in churches. (reminds me of an abusive relationship)

1 Corinthians 14:34 (King James Version)

"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law."

  • becoz' of such people communalism is so strong in our society......

  • An idol is an idol. Bowing is an act of deference or worship. A TV HOST sends them into a TEMPLE w/ their hands PRAYERFULLY together to KNEEL before a host of IDOLS & says, "It's not worship"?

Believe the Truth. Settle it in your heart. Act upon it.

Sperm in any orifice other than a fertile womb= no body is formed & earth entry is denied.

Trust in any other than Messiah Jesus/Y'shua= no spirit is born, & Heaven entry is aborted.

Same principle. One Way of entry regardless of protest or opinion.

  • first of all saying that she "took a stand" is ridiculous. This was a ceremony to make them feel welcome. Buddhism posits no creator god, bowing is a gesture of respect and admiration in this context, not worship.

  • I am a devout Buddhist... and I think it is perfectly appropriate that she refuse to bow. It is against her religion, and that's that. Good for her!

  • People may laugh and look one kind at her because of Jesus.. because in the Bible it says blessed those who persecute you and bless those who curse you....so now, they may laugh and show face expressions, but on the day of judgment, they wont be showing faces and laughing at Jesus.. they will be trembling.. Be Saved by Jesus Blood..

  • @Joepeace70015 who the people who love everyone and wish nothing but peace for everyone. Buddhism is about love and peace not obedience to anyone person no matter who they are or were.

  • Being a Buddhist,I believe this gameshow is highly intolerent of the participants' faith.Lady,I respect you for standing on your ground ;) A Buddhist must never force anyone to give the same honour we give to the Buddha. In doing that,we are dishonouring the Buddha. The gameshow host clearly knows nothing about the ceremony that was going on.It wasn't a welcoming ceremony. It was a religious service.

  • God bless that woman! I'd do the same if i were her and even Buddha would humbly bow down to the King of Kings JESUS CHRIST!

  • @southernsales777

Philipians 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

  • respect for the woman... she was the only one who did not bow down before a dead statue... this statues are made of stone or of wood... why should anyone bow down before them???

there is ONLY ONE GOD who is alive and you should bow down, HIS NAME IS JESUS CHRIST...

  • @whosperfect78 he was not a god and never claimed to be. jesus and buddha would have been good buddies if they knew each other and both have the same message so let us be we have nothing but love for you.

  • @maluse227

sorry, but the message of JESUS is quite opposite to buddha´s...

such nonesense can only be said by someone who never read the bible...

john 14,6 ""Jesus saith unto him, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, BUT BY ME. ""

cannot remember, buddha to say something like that...

THERE IS JUST ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD---> JESUS....

  • @whosperfect78 there message was the same meaning they told people to love one another dont do bad things and dont be a bad person. its the same but Buddha never threatened anyone with eternal damnation for not thinking exactly like him.

  • @maluse227

i see, you don´t understand that there is a higher meaning of what JESUS told us in the bible.... without JESUS as your saviour from your sins, you are a lost person... there aren´t any other truths, but JESUS alone... what buddha told is just a fraction of the truth given by JESUS...

you have to recognize the truth in its fulness--->what said JESUS?? "I AM THE TRUTH!"

pray that the LORD have mercy with you and HE may give you HIS wisdom and HIS knowledge...

    be blessed...

  • @whosperfect78 thats rather vain and petty of your god then as well as weak minded if they have to threaten there followers with death if they dont do exactly as they say thats not a god thats a bully calling himself righteous.

  • @whosperfect78 why are you claiming that Christianity is the only true truth? That's not right. People are free to follow what they want, but people like extremists and missionaries brainwash people into believing. As Karl Marx said, "religion is the opium of the masses,"

  • @ninjatomaster

You just quoted Karl Mark... a Marxist, Communist, Socialist, Hegelianist, and writer of the Communist Manifesto.

    Your opinion is invalid.

  • @jmann114 I meant that people are driven to such beliefs and No, I am not speaking about Communism.

  • @whosperfect78

Yes and Jesus was a manifestation of God.

    God Bless you brother.

  • @jmann114

JESUS was THE manifestation of GOD, the only GOD....

there is no other GOD beside HIM ...

    be blessed too.... ;)

  • @whosperfect78

LOL yes, thanks for correcting me. I am humbled by it.

    Have a blessed day. :)

  • @jmann114

oh, i didn´t meant it as a correction of your comment, but to avoid misunderstandings from the readers, i wrote the comment..

i know that you know that there is just one GOD... the LORD JESUS CHRIST ... ;)

    blessings from the LORD...

  • @whosperfect78

Oh ok LOL! And for the record buddhism has some good philosophy, but that's it. Never will I bow down to Buddha, for he is a fallen one just like us. The only feet I will bow down to and honor is the Great Alpha and Omega, Prince of Peace, King of Kings, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

    Amen!

  • @whosperfect78 Mel Gibson 6:66 " Smile and blow me"

  • I attend Buddhist retreats and wasn't even remotely offended by this woman's reaction as she is just an innocent victim of wrong education. Buddha taught that he wasn't a god and in no way should he be worshipped. He was just an ordinary man who became Enlightened to our true reality thru meditation. Bowing to a statue just shows our gratitude to him for showing us the way and is useful for taming our prideful and arrogant egos. You can even be a Christian and follow Buddha's teachings.

  • As a Buddhist, I comment the Christian lady. She stuck to her convictions.

We dont use force or violence to make others follow the path.

However, the monk rudely forcing the NY lady to fold her hands properly, hitting her....was a form of violence and disrepect.

  • If youre not familiar with Buddhism,im sure the ceremony felt like worship.Im sure the Buddha would understand. It is a most sincere way to pay respect to the One who found the way out of suffering in this world.Jesus is way cool too.He taught many things also taught by the Buddha. We need to find commonality to our beleifs, not the differances. That will help world peace to occur.

  • @imamyt1

"We need to find commonality to our beleifs"

What does that mean ? That its ok for us to live in lies as long as there is world peace ? Really ? Why so ?

Jesus did not teach "many things also taught by Buddha". Jesus proclaimed that He is God - and that He is the way. Buddha was just a man, probably a good one. So no please do not compare God and man for "World Peace" - the only thing you would get is a world steeped in lies.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic amen! this is what people need to be told nowadays.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic Buddha was a good man, but Jesus was just a fable.

  • @MelonNun

"but Jesus was just a fable"

Why because you think He is a fable ? What you say or think will not alter what is a historical fact.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic No that's just it there are no historical facts. You have none Sir other than crown assertions.

Could you please provide a premise with the assertion that this Jesus was an historical figure and note that Jesus was not even his real name.

  • @MelonNun

"No that's just it there are no historical facts."

If that is true.. please explain how and when Christianity came to be. Who started all this. And please give me sources.

"Jesus was not even his real name."

First of all.. if you are truly honest intellectually.. how can a person who is just a fable as per you.. have a real and fake name ? Are you saying that a fake person had a real name ? Please be honest.. its good for yourself.

  • Buddhists does not get offended for what the others say bad about their religion.. and they respect what others believe ... even the Buddha has said “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if "I" have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.” so everyone is free to express or follow what they feel from their heart...

  • @NationDefender

"unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.” so everyone is free to express or follow what they feel from their heart... "

there is a phrase for that - relative moralism. So if you say like Hitler truly believe that murder is good - it is good. Thats where that "teaching" will take you to.

  • We all commit unskillful acts. Most non-Buddhists think Buddha is a god. He is not and never claimed to be. Still, to many, Buddhism looks and feels like a religion. Her lack of skill is understandable and she is largely out of her comfort zone. I'm sure Buddha would not have been concerned. As a Buddhist I know I am not offended.

  • @fratermanor Well said,I concur with you.

  • How ignorant.

  • monks can teach and then enforce the rule of the temple if they are not willing to follow the rules then they should be asked to step aside and let them observe the activities of the temple. THATS ALL.

  • I AM BUDDHIST AND NO BODY NO ONE SHOULD FORCE SOME1 TO BOW TO THE BUDDHA. WE NEED TO TOLERATE PPL OF ALL DIFFERING FAITHS. THE MONK SHOULD BE REMINDED ABOUT THIS ABT FORCING SOME1 BEYOND THEIR WILL TO DO SO. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ALL BUDDHIST TEMPLES AS IT IS PLACE OF REFUGE AND SOLACE.

  • At first I thought they were going to say the first woman was the Christian and I was thinking... she's no Christian she's just a whiner. I wonder how many people on here who are making a big deal over the refusal to bow would stick up for someone if the "welcome" was held at a Catholic church and they were told to make the sign of the cross on themselves with holy water, but it's not worship?

  • I think the Christian lady was uncomfortable in a very unfamiliar place and handled it the best she knew how. The waitress from NY, on the other hand was much more disrespectful. She couldn't even hold her hands up properly at 2:20, rolled her eyes, and wasn't interested in gaining anything from the entire experience. What a waste of a plane ticket and a piss-poor traveler.

  • @BisonTurdjoy BRAVO

  • @BisonTurdjoy agreed. Her parents probably spoiled ger rotten.

  • @BisonTurdjoy true, but I'd much rather bang the waitress.

  • She is just very arrogant and fanatic!

  • what she did was ABSOLUTELY right decision. im chinese and i believe in jesus and God and if this was me, i would NOT bow down. i dont care if it is or if its NOT intended to be worship, if i am going to be bowing down, im not doing it for ANYONE else besides God, period. i was in this local branch of a large buddhist charity group and they would bow while standing up to a little buddhist statue and i would feel uncomfortable. this other christian asian girl said she felt the same way as i did.

  • first of all China is a Communist country and don't believe in Religion.Secondly buddhism isn't a religion at all...so what the fuck about worship?Thirdly i noticed all the fat Americans going into the temple with their shoes on?WTF is that ?is that a respect?

  • she couldnt do it because shes from te west and shes white, and claimed she didnt want to be disrespectful and guess what fool you were.she has the same attitude the white settlers had where ever they went, but you let someone claim they dont want to bow b4 some shit shes claims to love and then its time kill.

  • buddha was not a god, he was awake

  • Buddhism is Idolatry so she was right! When ever u Bow in submission to anything u r committing worship even if u didn't mean it u Gave much respect to that Object n humiliated yourself by Humble in Bowing n Prostration that is called worship...Period! Pagans

  • @moeazysgc

Um, actually, the Buddha forbade representations of his form (it wasn't until the 2nd Century CE/AD that it began, in order to help it spread in its predominantly Hindu homeland). And by not bowing, they have shown both ignorance and intolerance. You miss the point entirely. Until such time as one has "taken refuge" within the Buddha, one is not a Buddhist, in the purest sense.

Ugh.. it's not even worth lecturing your ignorant ass.

  • @ORUPRANKSTAZ so What does "taken refuge" in mean Once u take Refuge in something U seek it's protection, it's guidance,it's love,it's help or why take refuge in it off course it has no benefit because it just a Fucking Idol!! "Ugh.....Its not even Worth lecturing" But it is worth alot for me lecturing to ur Ignorant self!!! May God almighty Bless n Guide U out of the Darkness n into the light God is the One n only creator n there is nothing like Him in the heavens n earth! Peace

  • @moeazysgc

Apparently, being a Christian means you lose the ability to use any form of punctuation. It hurt my mind to read your onslaught of stupidity. (Note: I'm a Methodist, myself. But I'm sure that's just a "Fucking" denomination to you). Geez.

  • @moeazysgc then what the heck is getting down on one knee to propose? I swear some people take it too far. She wasone of them

  • @PokemonGuyX I have no idea i wouldn't get on one knee when i purpose to my wifey! Oh shit she was bowing my bad Fucking Pagans!!

  • Rather rude.

  • Cherry, "Buddha" was a man. "Nirvana" is the final state of bliss. Buddha may be IN Nirvana, but he himself is NOT Nirvana. And to all who have been arguing otherwise, please understand: NO Buddhist thinks The buddha was or is anything other than a MAN.

  • @KvonNJ In other word ...Buddha is a man with a small dick?..just like my neighbor's husband?

  • No matter, we Buddhists bow down in front of Jesus because we know to respect others!

  • @RanjanLekhy yes, you are right. i agree with you

  • tha buddha is not a God! thats a proof of ignorance

  • How can you say you aren't a religious person but that you're a firm believer of Jesus? That makes you a religious person [and close-minded at that].

Also, Courtney [is that the waitress's name?] How can you just constantly complain about how hard it is to do that? If it's THAT hard I be she bitched throughout the whole show!! I am so glad I don't watch this show b/c I would just get so angry the whole time..The things people do for attention.. Seriously.

  • Cherryicecream88, you are free to believe whatever you life, but Buddha does not HAVE to be a God. THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT OF BUDDHISM! It is not be attached to worldy ideas and concepts that do not directly relate the betterment of our lives. The fact that whether or not Buddha was a god only reflects a conflict between your upbringing and the information in the outside world, but Buddha was in this world preaching to "let go" and died like a mortal, and left his great teachings behind.

  • @sidjtd ok you can think whatever you want but you cannot control to my mind. I BELIEVE THAT BUDDHA IS A GOD. FOR ME, FOR MY FAMILY, FOR MY PEOPLE.

  • @Cherryicecream88 Uh, yeah, I can't control your mind, you're right. You can't control my mind if I thought that Zebra's were God either.

  • @sidjtd ha ha may be this is my first time i heard about zebra is a god. this is not i am controlling your mind, you can believe whatever you want.

  • @Cherryicecream88 Well, that is sort of my point. You can believe whatever you want, doesn't mean that its necessary correct; especially when it involves someone who lived in the real world and proclaimed things that were very relevant to our lives.

  • you ppl seem correct .. this will add more value to your answer.

  • Typical Christian ignorance. Buddha is not God.

  • @fabtastic2, we know

  • @fabtastic2 how dare you say Buddha is not god. don't believe if you don't believe. but don't insult. we believe that Buddha is A God. only One God for me also. how do feel if I say jesus or jehova is not god!? i am sure you would feel bad.

  • @Cherryicecream88 No, most Buddhists do not worship Buddha as a personal God. Furthermore, I could care less what your opinion is of Jesus because I am not a Christian.

  • @fabtastic2 well. you said you are not a Christian.so may i know what is your religion pls. i know what do you want to tell me. you said most buddhists do not workship Buddha as a personal god. actually those are different believing. for me, for my family, for my people, Buddha is A God. you go and have a look at myanmar how Buddha is Great. ps, myanmar also got different beliving, but most of the buddhist are believing Buddha as a God. sorry for my english.

  • @Cherryicecream88 @fabtastic2 There are different branches of buddhism that either say buddha was a god or not.

  • buddha is not a god, he has never proclaimed to be one. In fact someone once ask buddha,"Are you a God?" and he said,"No", he then asked "Are you a doctor?" buddha said,"No", "then what are you" asked the person. "I'm awake" said the buddha. Most buddhists who study the dharma do not believe that buddha is a God, as the realm of gods is still in samsara like the rest of us.

  • @hunnibalhandynas 6 years later, Buddha became a God after he left the palace.

(Most buddhists who study the dharma do not believe that buddha is a God, as the realm of gods is still in samsara like the rest of us.) these words are not for people who is believing in Buddhism. especially at Myanmar.

  • @Cherryicecream88 WHAT ARE U TALKING ABOUT buddha became god ater 6 yrs at the temple?

  • @Cherryicecream88 i know the scripture says the NIRVANA(buddha) is deathless, and is never reborn so nirvana is IMMORTALITY also the buddha is above "gods" ond men so it does say the buddha is the HIGEST BEING this is true BUT the buddha said the nature of a spirit is to be PURE not ALL POWERULL,NO SPIRIT IS ALL POWERFULL otherwise how come this all powerfull spirit doesnt come down and help us why does it let war continue why does it let children be molested?see what i mean?

  • They open their mouths and show their ignorance, and that ignorance comes from being American, and Christian

  • Huh? Buddha isn't a god. She wouldn't be breaking that commandments.

  • The ignorance of these people bowing to idol Gods. SMH

  • @pinkhousemob and so it begins. Buddha isnt a god neither does he profess to be one.

  • @SLwootwootUK Who cares what Buddha claims

  • @pinkhousemob you're supposed to out of respect. ignorant and arrogant christians are exactly what's wrong with christianity

  • @SLwootwootUK Please shut up. I know what my Bible says I dont have to explain to you

  • @pinkhousemob i know you dont. but you will have to explain your ignorance and how you did not respect some of the children of God to the big man himself. (just in case you cannot understand how that works, you are not respecting the core beliefs of some people and therefore you are not respecting some of the creations of God.)

  • @SLwootwootUK I dont know where you got that from but its not in the Bible. Sounds like you just made that up

  • Comment removed

  • @SLwootwootUK BTW I dont respect ungodly beliefs youre exactly right. I respect Yeshua, Jehovah, Jesus, Immanuel , Elohim, the Great I AM

  • I wouldnt bow to Buddha either. Christ is the only one I'll bow to to. Him and the Father

  • But I think that the waitress is a bit disrespectful by saying that she much rather go for lemonade. To the Christian radio host umm buddha is not a God he is enlightened

  • Shes doesn't have to because she isn't a follower of buddhism its like me not genuflecting if I went to a church I bet buddha wouldn't mind that

  • i actually think the waitress was much more disrespectful then the christian woman who didnt want to bow. i can understand the christian womans point of view, but the waitress was just complaining and showing no respect at all for the people and culture.

  • Indeed, even the Buddha himself discouraged all forms of worship of any images of Himself. And it was not a practice to do so until ignorant people decided they could not live without seeing some sort of physical representation of the Buddha to give them faith...which is completely counter to orthodox Buddhism. So Christians, learn that for today.

  • No where in any Buddhist writing does it say anyone has to bow down before any diety let alone a statue of the Buddha. If this is an issue, then it is an issue with the game's requirements, not because of any demands in Buddhism.

  • i have studied bible in a catholic school, and now i start to study buddhist concepts as well. i found that buddhism is a very strict, serious and complicated system, till now i still cant find any anti-logic contradiction in buddhism. while there are too many anti-logic contradictions in bible. buddhism (may also Daoism) must be the most complicated and most science-friendly religion for now. if there were no science, buddhism must be the first choice for replace of nature study.

  • @mapscraper

You're right. Buddhism is profound and beautiful. Buddha is regarded as the teacher of gods and men. To be enlightened, one needs to eradicate anger, greed and delusion. To be a Buddha, one has to be perfect in conduct, knowledge, unsurpass, omniscent. God still gets angry, hate, jealous, destroys and kill.

  • @impermanentoo , u re right, i think the thug in sky (god) may be now learning buddhism to upgrade itself. LOL

  • ALL RELIGIONS HAVE GOOD POINTS BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE WAY TO HEAVEN AND IF YOU WANT IT YOU HAVE TO BE LOGICAL I AM NOT GOING TO TELL YOU WHAT TO BELIEVE NO THAT IS UP TO YOU ALL FAITHS SHOULD BE ABLE TO PROVE 1. WHERE WE CAME FROM 2. WHY WE ARE HERE IF YOU WANT MY HELP IN THIS IF YOU ARE SINCERE IN LOOKING FOR THE TRUTH I CAN HELP YOU BUT THAT IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU AND NO BULLSHIT PLEASE IT HAS TO BE SCIENTIFIC USE YOUR HEAD EVERYTHING MUST BE LOGICAL
  • HOW CAN YOU WORSHIP IDOLS YOU SICK SONS OF BITCHES

    THAT

    MADE IN CHINA

    STATUE CANT HELP YOU

    YOU FUCKING HINDUS N BUDDHIST

    WAKE THE FUCK UP

  • @nice0071 You just don't get it, do you? In my opinion, I think that BOTH Buddhist and Christian are beautiful religions. And don't worry child, when you have a job, graduated from school, and move out away from your mommy and daddy, you'll understand things more better. :)

  • buddha isn't god lady. the worship is of his teachings

  • buddhism is superior than christianity or islam because of one saying buddha had said:

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, where you heard it, or who said it - even if I have said it - unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

but christians request us not to ask reason, but only to believe.

it's against human consciousness and common sense.

this is also reason why rational and merciful ancient chinese accept buddism but reject christianity .

  • Good ,for her! May God bless her abundatly! She had the boldness and the will to stand for Jesus Christ!

  • @RevMichelle If she knows that Buddha was Jesus Christ's teacher, she would have bowed to Buddha. Jesus went to India and Tibet to learn Buddhism for 18 years. There are evidence and witnesses. Go yahoo and search for " Jesus, the teenage years" and "The lost years of Jesus Christ." There are evidence dug up (early Christianity writings) which show early Christianity was similar to Buddhism, early Christianity taught reincarnation.

  • @RevMichelle Go and search at youtube "11 year old boy reincarnated Fox 8 News". It shows a real modern case of reincarnation of an US boy who can recall his past life and names of his family members and friends at young age. There is even a book on reincarnation written by a doctor who is a Christian. He wrote this book after his experiences prompted him to do investigations and found out reincarnation is real.

  • survivor should not make this show! This make unfair for buddha! U look the camera show the statue and monk teach other must follow how to pray, actually I am just stand and hand together pray only~!

  • You're a sick human being if you think you can go around telling people their god isn't real, and then cry like a baby when someone tells you yours isn't real either.

  • @ChristinaWatkinson I can go around and preach the gospel and tell people their god is fake. The BIBLE says that their is ONE GOD and no others. When I say that christinity is not a religion, IT means that christian don't pray 6 times a day, we don't wear certain clothing, christians don't read and pray at the same time everyday, we don't do this and that everyday at 1,4,5,7,8 and 12 o clock day in and and dayout everyday like a schedual. Christianity is not like the other religions.

  • @JazzyXEdward You JUST said *I* couldn't do the same to you. Well no, YES, I CAN tell you your god is fake, because he is.

Too bad, that's not the definition of religion. Christianity is a religion, period.

There is no evidence, so I'm not going to accept the LIE of the existance of God, especially the Christian God that ordered to kill children and old men and horrible things of that such.

You can worship your man-made Christian god too, it's ok.

  • @ChristinaWatkinson Pleaaaaaaaaaase there are many many eveidence of God existence. Most people know that their is a God and he is the only one and most chose not to believe. Want proof of God and Satan existence like everybody eles? You and others make Satan the one who hates you and others happy because you are ignoring Jesus Christ. Thats all he wants you to do. Ha ha ha you don't have to be a card carring satanist to be for Satan or on his side.

  • @JazzyXEdward no there isn't. there's not one piece of evidence.

Keep praying to a dead guy, it's no different. He died a long time ago. Get over it. lol

  • @ChristinaWatkinson Oh really, no eveidence? Watch this short video Apocalypse end times doomsday 2012 prophecies fulfilled and *REAL*DEMON on My Shoulder*SLITS on My Eyes_1 video and come back here and tell me if christianity is still fake and the holy bible written from a groupe of people who had nothing better to do with their lives.

  • @ChristinaWatkinson Talk trash about God amd mock Jesus and keep praying to your stone, so when you and others die and go to hell, satan and his demons will take pleasure of tormanting you and others. Demons laughing and pushing you around calling you stupid and saying that their is a God but you chose to worship a stone.

  • @ChristinaWatkinson All those things you said to me, other christians, things about christianity, Jesus, bible and God who created your tail will all come back to rememberence and play over like a tape and make you go insane and it will haunt you forever in hell and demons laughing at u. Go ahead and worship your god. Me and nobody eles can't stop you or anybody eles.

  • @ChristinaWatkinson Don't worry, I'm with you on this one. He's just an asshat.

  • @kateebot Oh and don't replay to me again. I'm tired of coming back to this page.

  • @JazzyXEdward Yessums, ma'sah. I go back to da fields now, ma'sah, and pick you sum cottin. And it's "reply", dumbfuck.

  • "Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true." Lord Buddha

  • I m also a Buddhist but dun blame them for not bowing to Buddha as they dun really understand what is Buddhism and is unfair for them to bow to something which they know nothing about.

  • @liuyuki

U right, this show make people think we force people to pray the buddha who does not understand meaning! This show way too far!
