I'll agree that Goku by far had the best work ethic, followed only by Vegeta. I just think Gohan was naturally a beastly dude, and I feel like the story was leading up to him taking Goku's place the whole time, only to throw him away in the Buu arc. I mean I watched Gohan go from running from dinosaurs to nuking Cell. But Gohan wasn't enhance like Vegeta with Bulma's ray gun. The Elder unlocked power already inside Gohan, so that was natural power is all i'm saying.

@UchihaGamer111 "hidden power" is a loosely used term. Even Krillin was said 2 have "hidden/latent power" when Gohan was 1st said 2. (Elder Namek). It is clearly stated that this version of Gohan is known as "mystic Gohan". It could've been Goku but the more power he used shortened his time on earth since he was dead and granted his time there, vegeta Self destructed so Gohan was the first/best option since he was the strongest "living" Z-Warrior at the moment.

Infact I think Gohan's power level was 11-13,000 while Krillin was 13-15,000. So I believe Gohan's hidden power obviously increased, or the Elder didn't unlock the hidden power we seen used through out Z. But hey I can't prove it so I respect you're opinion. But you're acting like Gohan's hidden power wasn't specifically emphasized through out Z. I'm just saying.

@brightlights456X Mystic is stronger then SSJ2. But Mystic is stupid in the fact that Gohan can't go SSJ while all his hidden power is fully unlocked. As i've said several times before. SSJ boosts a Saiyans natural power, Gohan was able to tap into his hidden power several times through out Z with out transforming, so you would assume it is natural. And the Elder Kai unlocking it should have simply vastly boosted base Gohan, and SSJ n SSJ2 should have multiplied that.

He wanted to end Z with Frieza fans begged for more so he gave them Cell, and finally we saw where Gohan's hidden power led up to, or at least I thought. But then the fans were pissed Goku or Vegeta didn't beat Cell, and they wan'ted more because they weren't satisfied. And Toriyama-sama caved and wrote in my opinion the worst arc the Buu arc.
