  • He sounds so different but you can tell it's him. Strange. He's usually a lot more slur-y.

  • too avantgarde to be postmodernist. great piece of poetry.

  • when did he release this?

  • this is really good no matter what people say. this just shows what a true poet he is. the tone resembles beat poetry. anyone who thinks of pete doherty as tht junkie rocker should listen to this to get more of an incite into his work. i love the fact he continues to romanticize the uk

  • Oranges and lemons say the bells of St Clement's!

  • You owe me three farthings say the bells of St Martin's...

  • This song is very different from other songs by Pete but still great! Love him (L)

    Thanks for posting this!

  • @thestrokes000

    How is it different?

  • hey guys this is how pete's voice sounded in the early days before he got heavily into drugs. he sounds really different i guess due to all the smoking he's done but if you listen to the legs 11 album you can tell its him. also just watch the clip of pete when he's queuing for the oasis album on youtube where he's about 16 and you can hear how much his voice has changed since then

  • ya you're right. it's not just a drug thing though, accents can change according to what you're going for. if you look at the early libertines songs, the reeeeally early ones hes actually got a different tone and it seems to be fairly intentional. he sounds like the guy from suede in those

  • @WorldSoccerVideos I don't think it's Pete Doherty reading this

  • legend.

  • this is a poem of the young age of the amazing poet

  • are you positive aobut that worldsoccervideos? i have heard that this is an older one

  • i could be wrong, i was pretty certain, but now you have filled me with doubt :-S

  • its from about 1999 mate

  • where'd u find this?

  • I threw it together with a couple of cartoon pieces that I found on a dvd.

    It was a quick edit.

  • The song I found on Albion Arks.

  • So here we are, The f*ed generation, Of the fag-end of the 20th century A.D., Young and still breathing, But now its a trial, Cause we tried it all and were tired by it all, Too much, too young, too often, too many times, And its too late, But were not surrendering though, f*** no, but were not, on the offensive, Were on all fours in the puddles of No Mans Land, ......This is spot on. Excellent. Keep replaying it!
