  • Hi,

This is my car, I've had it for 4 years now and drive it every day.

I have done and redone everything on the car 2 or 3 times over the past 4 years and I do know all the tricks through many trials and errors.

I do drive it every day and I drive it very hard and I have gotten to the point where it does not break. Give me a call if you want to talk about your car project. I can give you all the resources needed to do this correctly and not by someone who is selling kits.

  • @944sleeper

Hey Man, can u send me your contact info.

    ruffy49@gmail.com

    Thanks,

    Chris.

  • if anyone here has done this conversion, i will appreciate if you can email so i can ask you a few things. please

i am currently in the process of doing a V* swap to my 944 but need some help.

    fox351gt@yahoo.com

    thanks

  • @fox351gt

and by the way the people who comment on my car talk about how this car cannot handle the power really don't know what they're talking about but the people in S. Fl who own Ferraris, Porsches, Jaguars, fancy mustangs with all of that fiberglass,Camaros etc., and most porches including a lot of customers of Champion Porsche notice that I do not break my car when I spank them consistently over the last 4 years. if you want a real sleeper that handles incredibly this is it

  • you wish

My car is better and better everyday I drive it,you should see it now

    $25,000.00 Maybe

  • give you 3000 for it as it stands

  • VERY NICE... who knew

  • just awesome!!

  • Hey Boys this is myt car and I have been driving it every day for 3.4 years

It is very fast and i beat most cars 80 t0 160 in seconds it is not a drag car

I have turbo S Tran with Quaf limited slip and custom 968 axles

I am on my second airflow 463HP ls engine kevlar clutch, new coilovers all around 993 brakes 18 inch 993 wheels and am very well known in S Florida for blowing away Most Vettes, All Ferraris and Most Porsches including several Twin Turbos call me if you want more info

  • Did you convert this to a vette gearbox and custom rear end? Because I doubt a 22 year old transaxle would hold up to 350 horsepowers... lol

  • as soon as he pops the clutch the trasmission explodes in to a ball of metal and fire,, FAST

  • @MrJeestatus LOL Yup, especially the non turbo transmissions.

  • I wonder if its fast...

  • From one LS1 owner to another, bravo.

  • So mutch retads say stupid shit cust they are singleminded ! Why can't ppl just say ther opinion in a normal way without making them self feel better... Porsche makes great cars and the LS engines are realy good too. If it was possible to registrate a LS enginen in a 944 in Norway I would for sure get one for my 944 !

  • Geez! Good Job!. American muscle always sounds good and is cheap. I don't know about reliability or quality. I own a porsche 968 with a 3L 4 banger and VAriocam that can do 160 mph. Do I race it? NOPE I don't want to break anything, too expensive to Fix!. good Job, just remember that 944 are one of the best balanced cars out there and a heavy engine changes this. nice car

  • @cgyiltis american musle??? first off i am a porsche fan. porsche is russian if i am wrong please correct me but i know they arent american and anything from a muscle!

  • @TheGuywithecamera . Dude, Porsche is actually Austrian but grew up in Germany.

I said American muscle because the owner of that 944 removed the Porsche 4 cylinder engine made by Audi and installed a corvette engine made by chevrolet. That's why I said american muscle. Peace

  • @cgyiltis The 4 was not designed by audi, it was assembled at neckarsulm tho.

  • @TheGuywithecamera how are u going to say your a porsche fan and think its from russia

  • @fogvirtuous ok that was over 3 months ago to start. and i said correct me if im wrong because im new to porsche and my dad has one and we re did everything and its realy nice. someone allready corrected me sooooo ya

  • @cgyiltis LS1 adds less then 50lbs to the car compared to the stock engine. I bet it is even lighter then your 968.

  • Please, let's not get so hurt. Afterall, the stock engine is really off a Volkswagen anyway...

I'm no fan of yank iron, but the LS is a great swap. Simple, awesomely reliable and really really cheap for a whole lot of power.

They are alot lighter than you think too threezero, lighter than the stock engine.

This is a really a win win scenario with no downside apart from the work to do the swap itself.

  • @Saj5DJ 944 engine was redesigned by Porsche. You're thinking of a 924.

  • Comment removed

  • @Jszarkowicz Fair enough, the stock engine is a redesign of a volkswagen van engine then.

  • @Saj5DJ and your source on this fact is?

  • @Saj5DJ VW vans have boxer engines...

  • @Saj5DJ Not at all. The stock engine, was designed by Hans Mezger. It is nothing like the 924(audi 2.0) motor, and share zero parts IIRC.

  • @threezerol944t You're right. My bad.

  • @Saj5DJ Your not telling me anything I dont already know. But you dont know my engine, let alone what it weighs in comparison. Oh yeah, the motor had nothing to do with VW. You will not find 944 motors in any other car. Mezger designed it specifically for 944. He also designed the 928.

  • Sick car man. Very good choice in Engine LS1=God

  • I realize the Porsche faithful cringe at this mating, but it makes great sense as a daily driver(of course, if done properly). Chevy parts are a dime a dozen and I'm wondering if the C6 Corvette's transaxle is also being utilized? Basically a German Corvette. Sixteen Candles meets Corvette Summer!

  • sweet!!

  • Awesome... I want to do this too, but would like to know if and how much the extra weight in the front affects the handling? Porsches are great handlers, does this still handle well?

  • 95 FTW....

  • my 2.0l twin turbo clio is faster then this! im pushing almost 310bhp to the front wheels for a small car. piece of shit porsche

  • I am sorry you have to drive a front wheel drive car due to your gender

  • @TunedAmg your clio also sounds like a peice of shit compared to this and ls1s make 310 stock anyway dumbass put two turbos on and ls1 will be at like 500 rwhp

  • @jsk8drummer i love it how pissed of youtubers get when they know they suck :L lmao you licked your dead mums cunt, hahahaha go die fucking wanker twin turbo on this piece of shit would be like putting a twin turbo on your nan, only making her suck harder :D:D:D:D fuck you faggg hahaha

  • you sound like a wonderful young man with a great future in prison

  • @jsk8drummer LOL. yeah, if you could fit 2 turbos in the 944 bay.

Its all about power to weight. Hence why Porsche put a 4 banger in it.

Sure the v8 has more displacement, therefore capable of more. Buts its

a heavy GM, welfare, communist POS! The 4 banger with 1 turbo can

output 500rwhp. And dont start talking about oh, the v8 can do even

more. The point is moot. 944 chassis will bend and roll once u start

pushing more than 500 ft lbs. not to mention the transaxle grenading

    eventually.

  • @threezerol944t true lol i just personally prefer v8s to anything else and of course no 4 banger can ever come close to the badass sound of a v8

  • @threezerol944t

An LT1 is about the same weight as the stock motor. Don't talk about crap you don't know.

  • @Sephirius When did I even mention the LT1? Grasping for straws are we?

  • @threezerol944t

    >implying the LT1 is lighter than the LS1

    oh u.

  • @Sephirius No, your drawing conclusions. I dont know which GM garbage motor is lighter. Dont care. Nice try tho.

  • @threezerol944t

Protip: both weigh less than the 944 turbo engine

  • @Sephirius Sure they are. Ill believe it when I see it. A 4 heavier than an 8. Not very likely. Besides, your comparing a 4 banger Mezger designed in the 70's. Lets talk about all the fine, lightweight, efficient v8's GM produced in the 70's, and 80's. Oh wait........

GM has done nothing but suck the oil companies dicks, and corrupt Washignton. Fuck them in the neck with a rusty screwdriver. Like GM gives a damn about efficiency. Even now. GM fanboys are pathetic!

  • @threezerol944t Lmfao, GM "Garbage" motor, the LS engine design is the most sophisticated and efficient method of producing power, LS9 power output is rated at 638 bhp, is there a even a porsche that can rival that?....nope...

  • @KcclAid Yes bigger. Do your homework. Im not gonna keep pointing out Porsche facts you kids can look up yourself. Hell, the new 997 GT2 RS has 620hp from a flat six. Thats impressive. Thats a stock production car. You dont want me to start talking about their race engines. PORSCHE OWNZ!!!!!

  • @KcclAid Oh yeah, my fav part is "most sophisticated, and efficient". LOL! yeah such a sophisticated OHV, pushrod truck engine. Pffft, efficiency? Youve got to be kidding me. Porsche makes h6 motors with similar power, that get much better mileage, and less emmissions....stock. Porsche was about efficiency 50 years ago. GM still has a lot of catching up to do.

  • yeah but it's still a clio....

  • @TunedAmg haha this has an LS1 in it meaning it come with more horsies to the rear wheels in stock form and prolly gets better gas mileage lol

  • @spartan177saber Boy, you really like talking out your ass. Seriously? better mileage? Your dillusional. Ive personally calculated mileage at over 30 mpg. And that was with a turbo(951). The NA's are even better. Excellent in todays standards, let alone late 70's, when Mezger first designed it.

  • @threezerol944t I don't know if you're just trolling or being serious, but either way, you need to STFU. You're trying to sound like some tiny-dick Porsche snob, but there's nothing to be a snob about here. I own a 944S (and a Lotus Turbo Esprit, and a BMW), and none of that takes away from the fact that the LS motor itself is a fantastic achievement, and works GREAT in the 944. I'd rather see quality engine swaps than scrapped cars, which is what will happen when the repair costs get too high.

  • @tpaladino If repair costs are too high, dont buy a frickin porsche. An achievement? LOL, seriously a pushrod v8? Ok, maybe it was an achievement....like 70 years ago. LOL You v8 swappers are stupid noobs. Ooh ooh, lets give it instant tq throughout the band, and gobs of it. Who cares if the chassis twists to hell, and the trans grenades. LOL, get a clue. A v8 is not an ideal motor for what the rest of the car was designed for. Simple as that. Youd know that if you werent a noob.

  • @threezerol944t the car will handle the swap just fine

  • @MangoSmoothie16 Yeah if you dont push it. The bottom line is a v8 powerband is not ideal for a 944/968 chassis. Push the power, and you'll see. That instant tq will twist it to hell. V8's are for draggin. It is not a car designed for drag racing.

  • @threezerol944t true. when my 16valve blows... if i were to rebuild it... id just get a 944 turbo crate motor and get the lindsey racing package. V8's do have too much low end torque.

  • @threezerol944t I do not know where you get your information from, but I just completed my 4th year driving his car every day and usually getting into at least 2 or 3 races per day that I usually win and there is nothing twisting on my frame or anywhere else, this is my 2nd engine and its built to 463 hp,, , come to South Florida and I will give you a ride and show you what torque is about

  • @944sleeper Push the power past 500 and find out. I already achieve 450 ft-lbs to the wheels, all porsche, without a welfare, bail out funded GM POS motor. The chassis, and transaxle is rated up to about 500, beyond that you will twist it, and break things. You dont need a v8 to get that kind of power, 3.0 under boost is all you need. And no, it doesnt have significant lag if you build/tune it right. I have a decade driving, and wrenching on front engine Porsches. You'll show me nothing noob.

  • BTW, Im in the 400's at the wheels. All 944.

  • GAY.

  • gay car will blow yours away

  • @rr7858869 Gay, and your ignorant. You have no idea What im pushing to the wheels. Putting GM crap in a Porsche that is GAY!

  • @threezerol944t taking an expensive piece of junk 4 cylinder out and slamming in a V8 is tottaly gay, thanks for opening my eyes. I mean why in the hell would anyone want to get 3 times the horsepower for less money that it takes to replace the heads on the factory engine....... pfft, thats just crazy.

  • @spartan177saber Here we go again. The head on the 944 can rebuilt for a few hundred bucks. Ask me how I know. Stop talking out your ass, and do your homework. The cylinder head on the 944 is quite simple. SOHC, 8 valve. half the cylinders means half as many components to replace. At least this isnt a turbo, or something pretty rare. Better a v8 than a junk pile, because people, are ignorant about how to maintain them.

  • super cool! I love ls1 swaps.
