Saw these guys when they came out to promote this album at a house party in Spokane Wa. Then went to play at 321 Arts in Spokane the next day. Talk about a party that rocked.
This is by far thee very best thrash/speed metal video of all time! It's guns guts and thee almightee Agony Column for me. A perfect example of everything old school thrash, period!
Folks that bass was made for me by Steve Wise of Austin TX, a popular celtic instrument maker and very skilled craftsman. It is a fretless 36" scale bass with Seymour Duncan pick ups and an original Leo Quan Badass bridge. I spent quite a bit more than 90 buck for it and it is still going strong over 25 years later. Sorry I wasn't there for the reunions, long story best shared elsewhere but many of you know it, perhaps I will make it to one someday.
It's Funny .... I found this Video (Band) , 2-years ago . And am still compelled to watch it ( once a week )... Hey,, It Kicks Ass !!! God ,Guns & Guts ... Heinous !
I'm surprised that I cant find a version of Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles here on youtube. It was their most popular song...and my introduction to this band.
Damn those were the days. I saw AC at least 20 times, saw them with GWAR at LL on the Scumdogs tour when Oderus was out in the crowd out of costume while AC played. Saw them the same weekend Dice Clay was in Austin late 1990 or early 1991. i have 6 CDS in my car now and G,G&G is one of them. Great memories, great pits, people helping people up, going counter clockwise, not trying to injure everyone. I'm 36 and i'd hit an AC show right now if they would come to Lubbock!!
I must have hit every show you did plus some. I had already caught them once or twice before Scumdog show. I miss those guys and LL....those were good times!
I have their second album entitled Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles on CD. My brother has has their first album on cassette. It's too bad those albums are long out of print and has yet to be reissued. Agony Column were so awesome!
Anyone remember them on Z Rock radio being interviewed, only problem was the Golf War updates EVERY 15 minutes, the show was cut out and it was a damned travesty. Another reason to abhore war
when agony column played you could allways count a pit brawl litteraly 40 or 50 people at one show at liberty lunch it looked like a swarm of insects spilling out of the building and into the street people getting all fucked up and the band never stopped playing the best time i ever had i still have a scar over my right eye 17 stitches and a pint of blood and worth every bit of it !!!! ricky santos is a bitch
richie where you at this is Kenny from austin remember the last time I saw you at your condo on riverside i been back and fourth from cali the chicken is great and got legs ha ha ha
But the pits were always fun. People were rowdy, but they helped each other.
Pits today are crap. Full of frat boys looking to hurt people. There's no fun left, only senseless violence.
I'm a big guy and I was knocked down at an Agony Column show once. I was immediately helped to my feet by my fellow metalheads. That would never happen today.
I saw these guys with Gwar too- in Phoenix on their Scumdogs tour... 1991 ??? What really stuck with me about Agony Column was "Metal - Metal Snakebite!!!"
wow-not a lot of people remember agony column- saw them at Liberty Lunch in 90 or 91- two of the best metal albums from that time period-Devil Chicken is the man!
the song was probably named after a sign in the movie Wolfen that said this country was made out of god, guns, and guts
