  • the song was probably named after a sign in the movie Wolfen that said this country was made out of god, guns, and guts

  • Saw these guys when they came out to promote this album at a house party in Spokane Wa. Then went to play at 321 Arts in Spokane the next day. Talk about a party that rocked.

  • This is by far thee very best thrash/speed metal video of all time! It's guns guts and thee almightee Agony Column for me. A perfect example of everything old school thrash, period!

  • Is richie still alive???? -jerabaldy-

  • Miss seeing these guys SO frigging much! Best shows of my youth were AC at a party at the Ark Co-op and them playing w/Gwar at Liberty Lunch...

  • I wish there were more songs from these guys on here. 666 Guns for Satan and Angel of Def come to mind!

  • agony column and rigor mortis... my bands!

  • magical shirts!

  • Folks that bass was made for me by Steve Wise of Austin TX, a popular celtic instrument maker and very skilled craftsman. It is a fretless 36" scale bass with Seymour Duncan pick ups and an original Leo Quan Badass bridge. I spent quite a bit more than 90 buck for it and it is still going strong over 25 years later. Sorry I wasn't there for the reunions, long story best shared elsewhere but many of you know it, perhaps I will make it to one someday.

  • ANVIL?

  • Can anyone out there post Brave Words... ??

  • i saw these guys live a few time they were always great . 4x4 live was the fuckin best

  • Holy shit!!!!! I saw this video 18 years back.......I just got hold of all their albums.many thanks to the uploader.

  • Aaah been ages sinse I heard this :D

  • Damn those were the days. I saw AC at least 20 times, saw them with GWAR at LL on the Scumdogs tour when Oderus was out in the crowd out of costume while AC played. Saw them the same weekend Dice Clay was in Austin late 1990 or early 1991. i have 6 CDS in my car now and G,G&G is one of them. Great memories, great pits, people helping people up, going counter clockwise, not trying to injure everyone. I'm 36 and i'd hit an AC show right now if they would come to Lubbock!!

  • @discostu004

I must have hit every show you did plus some. I had already caught them once or twice before Scumdog show. I miss those guys and LL....those were good times!

  • I just heard of this band when I saw a kid wearing an agony column t-shirt in the movie "Love & A .45". Pretty decent!

  • i loved these guys-they were metal but they appealed a lot to us punks too. they seemed to have a sense of humor about themselves.

  • Look for the reunion March 2010 at Texas Rockfest!

  • I wish someone would post brave words and bloody knuckles from these guys..I cant find that song anywhere.

  • GREAT SONG!!!! Texans know a lot about good metal.

  • i grew up listening to this when i was 14.....the good ol days....

  • I FUCKIN' LOVE IT!!!

  • didn't they play at some of the early SXSW festivals? under-rated band big time!

  • Those guys fully ruled. I played that cassette so many times... 4X4X4X4!!!

  • I have the God, Guns & Guts LP, amazing full-lenght!

  • The Glory day of Thrash, no doubt...

  • This band kick ass!!!

  • That's my richie

  • Shit,,,, I just accidently got to this song/video,,,, THIS SONG ROCK SS !!! ,,, IS this band still around ????

  • nope...this clip is from the early nineties...they played a few shows about 8? years ago...but that was it...

    i saw them many times...

  • My band opened for these guys '96, how awesome, such fun times!

  • 666 GUNS FOR SATANNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!

  • I have their second album entitled Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles on CD. My brother has has their first album on cassette. It's too bad those albums are long out of print and has yet to be reissued. Agony Column were so awesome!

  • Damn I wish there were more vids of AC here, Id love to see 'Suppertime' or the cover of 'Mississippi Queen' sometime. I loved this album.

  • I saw em at the tombstone in fort worth. I still have the tshirt.

  • Liberty Lunch AC shows will forever remain as some of my most memorable shows ever.

  • Damn do I miss Liberty lunch.

    the convertible night club.

  • no doubt. those were the days. screm at it Richie

  • Anyone remember them on Z Rock radio being interviewed, only problem was the Golf War updates EVERY 15 minutes, the show was cut out and it was a damned travesty. Another reason to abhore war

  • Remember this song from ksym radio in san antonio, the riff stuck in my head all these years, cool song.

  • richie rich you crazy fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! southaustinrulels

  • when agony column played you could allways count a pit brawl litteraly 40 or 50 people at one show at liberty lunch it looked like a swarm of insects spilling out of the building and into the street people getting all fucked up and the band never stopped playing the best time i ever had i still have a scar over my right eye 17 stitches and a pint of blood and worth every bit of it !!!! ricky santos is a bitch

  • I feel bad for everone that ever got hurt at AC show...I'm sorry guys... Richie Devil Chicken.

  • richie where you at this is Kenny from austin remember the last time I saw you at your condo on riverside i been back and fourth from cali the chicken is great and got legs ha ha ha

  • Not to be confused with AnalCunt band hahaha

As an apend, I did spell Gulf War wrong, dammit! Anyway, it dates when these guys were fresh on the scene! Ages ago

  • But the pits were always fun. People were rowdy, but they helped each other.

Pits today are crap. Full of frat boys looking to hurt people. There's no fun left, only senseless violence.

I'm a big guy and I was knocked down at an Agony Column show once. I was immediately helped to my feet by my fellow metalheads. That would never happen today.

    Those were the days.

  • saw these guys with gwar they rule

  • I saw these guys with Gwar too- in Phoenix on their Scumdogs tour... 1991 ??? What really stuck with me about Agony Column was "Metal - Metal Snakebite!!!"

  • I saw them with Gwar also. In Albuquerque. Great show by both bands!

  • Hellbilly Deathmetal Onslaught forever!!!!

Boy howdy those Liberty Lunch shows were so much damn fun! Also so nice to see this with Paul Crow on bass.

  • Greatest band from Texas...ever!

  • This is pure gold , the shit , this band and these shows totally changed my whole shit up about 15 years ago.

    please post more of these..

    /Salute!.

  • wow-not a lot of people remember agony column- saw them at Liberty Lunch in 90 or 91- two of the best metal albums from that time period-Devil Chicken is the man!

  • hes my brother in the law. the singer.

  • what's he doing now?

  • how do i contact your brother? I want them to play in Austin one last time!
