@iDjGio Most experts dog trainers would say to crate train them. We have a pet door so they can go out anytime and still have an occasional "accedient" I am lousey at training and it took a miracle to get them all to stay on the bed long enough to get the clip.

What a fun crew! Love it. We have two doxies, Heidi and Itty Bitty, 11 and 9, that we adopted from a shelter two years ago. Went looking for a sheltie and fell head over heels in love with Heidi when she cocked her head back and forth at me as I talked to her, and Itty Bitty, her daughter, competed for attention. We are now doxie lovers and if we ever adopt again it will be doxies. Never dreamed how affectionate and fun they would be! And they are all dog - nothing "toy" about them. Chuff!

I never wanted a doxie, till my girlfriend's mother (who was living with me at the time) brought one home from the pound. I've come to love Max and respect. He's brave, bold, a good watchdog and very, very dog savy. You get a lot of dog in a little body when you get a doxie.

We find having eight dachshund EXPENSIVE. Thousands of dollars in vet bills. We didn't plan on having so many and was surprised when Baby and Bart had a litter of five. We of course became to attached to stand the idea of someone else being their human family. We have had four others who have passed. Bailey at 3 mos from Menigitis. Betty Boop one of the litter killed by neighbors dogs. Bear the first dachshund old age/cancer. And Bonnie a rescue from old age.

I had 4 for the longest time then the one died, somehow he got into something then got another one which ended up having six puppies..but I do love them

All my Doxies are fixed now but Bart and Baby had a litter of five. I have four of her pups still (1 died in a dog attack). They are 6 yrs old as of Dec 1st. And two are senior doxies. Seniors, parents and their pups make eight in all.

aww... im so sry about the one that died. which doggys are bart and baby? are they on this video? my noojie had one really BIG puppy and we named him Kruger and he was twice the size of all the rest of the litter. i miss him he was the first sold in that litter to my father's cousin. but i recently heard that he has passed on from diabetes. so sad. he turned out such a big doggy too. im thinking someday on getting another wiener-dog and raising more puppies!! lol
