  • I haven't started yet, but I have most of my supplies, this was a very good tutorial. I hope you have more, I have favorited you. Thank you so much for taking the time to do such a great and easy to follow tutorial.

  • Hi! I've been using polymer clay for many years and was looking for a way to make beads out of very complicated millefiori canes I have done. I came across your videos and although it didn't teach me anything new, I thought you did an excellent job explaining everything to beginners. So many videos skip necessary steps! Keep Going! I hope to see more from you!

  • how much is the fimo clay?

  • Those are really awesome designs .... I was surprised you didn't use any glaze in the end

  • I hpoe this was useful for you

  • You're a good teacher : )

  • Thank you, Lizador for a very informative demonstration. I am just starting to try making clay beads. I learned about the baking tray from your video and I was able to find it on EBay at a good price.

  • your really helpful ") Thanks

  • wow, This is great, i think i will try to make own beads, by the way do i need to cover with aluminium fold b4 i bake it? Thanks !!!

  • This is great! you makes the process so uncomplicated,Thank you.

  • P.S You're really cute!

  • thank you for this video and tutorial,Viola

  • Ur really good!

  • hi just wanted to know if i can use any other alternative other then a clay dedicated pasta machine to blend the colors because it is really expensive to buy that here. pls answer my question i want to do that blending technique

  • i need one of those pasta thingy's

  • Lizador, I really appreciate the way you presented your video. It was like sitting with a good girlfriend that knows her stuff and she is kind enough to share that knowledge. I felt much more confident in learning to make canes after watching and listening to you. Thanks for taking the time to make this video for we who wish to learn. Have an awesome and creative day!

  • I like the blended affect. It reminded me of those paintings with the multicolored backgrounds and sunsets. I was wondering what do you do with the parts that you cut off from the canes since everything was mixed together.

  • sketch.. but really cool

  • Great tutorial for rose canes! Thanks!

  • Thank you, great info!

  • Thank you so much for these thorough tutorials for the beginner! Until I found your tutorials, I had trouble knowing how to begin. You're a great teacher!

  • Thanks a ton! Very useful!

  • AWESOME! Thank you so much!

  • For several days I have been looking at many, many polymer clay tutorials on techniques for working with the clay in an attempt to learn how to do it myself. I have watched the high tech approach and the low tech, with all the possibilities in between!! You, my friend, have a very nice and refreshing way of showing us newbie clay players how to work with the stuff in an easy to understand way :-) Thanks a million!!

  • This is so pretty! I had always wondered how to make rose canes, I've tried and failed lol I shall try again you explained everything really well. Thanks for posting! =)

  • this is so much smaller than the rose canes I make... I usually end up using about 2 ounces of clay per cane :) but then again there are those that have to use TONS (ok, not actual tons) of clay for each cane, and that just gets too expensive

  • rly u have to mix it with a pasta machinie u can just mix it with ur hands u dont evn need a pasta machine

  • you could just do it with your hands, but it is very time consuming... pasta machines make things go so much faster, especially in the area of uniform sheets and making skinner blends.

  • I would also like to know where you got your starter kit?

  • I have actually answered this question several times in the comments... :-)

I got mine from the Walmart craft center.

You can get all the supplies listed at any craft or hobby store...

Try Micheals, AC Moore, Hobby Hut or any local shop you have in your town. You can also order it online.

  • Thank you so much and I did not know if you know this or not but the bead bakeing rack is also a can slicer. On my YouTube account I made a video on the bead baking rack and it talks about the sliceing of the canes.

    Michael

  • You've inspired me to try this. Great tut.

  • Thank you for doing such a great job. Roses are my fav and now I know I can make 1 because of you. Make more vids please!!!

Question tho. How long can you store canes before cutting and baking them? Lets say I want to make up a bunch but do not want to bake them yet? Could I put them in a tight sealed container or bag and just store them? Thanks again for your help....

  • thank you i did it watch the other parts of your videos....i have lots of clay but still dont know what to do on it...i have sculpey and primo..lol..thank you

  • Sculpey is a good brand. :-)

    I use that one also.

    Good luck with your projects!

  • hello.what type of clay your using?thanks

  • I am using FEMO polymer clay..

This is part 3. In part 1 I talk about the clay and what you can use. I suggest that you watch all 3 parts of this video.

Links are in the sidebar. :-)

  • I have the same pasta machine as you but my clay keeps sticking to the rollers and clay meets itself wrapped around the roller. My husband has to keep taking it apart to get the clay out. Yours drops so nicely out of the machine. I tried no stick spray and no stick hand cream for the clay. What is your secret on non-stick pasta rolling?

  • I thik you might be kneading your clay too long. If it gets too soft and too warm, it gets REALLY sticky! Try sending it through the machine when it is still pretty hard. It may crumble around the edges, but that is okay, because you can send it through again!

  • it is waaw reelyy
